Chereads / Munsters Meets Addams / Chapter 4 - Munster Mansion Tour

Chapter 4 - Munster Mansion Tour

Everyone was gathered in the living room. Lily served tea and biscuits which the Addams Family politely declined. They were fond of tea but certainly not biscuits. Something about them made the whole Addams clan gag.

"How did you all end up here?" Lily asked.

"We saw it in the paper Mrs. Munster." Wednesday answered. "Your house might be haunted."

"I know dear, Marilyn told me." Lily smiled.

"Truth is we just wanted to get away somewhere. Somewhere only an Addams can and we thought this to be the perfect place because we might've been able to explore this house." Gomez said.

"Well, you're free to look around once we give the tour. I think you folk will like our dungeon." Herman said.

"You have an actual dungeon?!" Morticia asked excitedly.

"Indeed." Herman answered. "It's where Grandpa conducts his experiments."

"My dad is always whipping up new potions that always backfire in the end." Lily said.

"I remember the time when Eddie grew that beard when he was supposed to grow taller." Herman said. "We keep telling him to give up on magic but the old bat never listens."

"That is my father you're talking about." Lily said eyeing her husband.

"I'm sorry Lily, I-I don't mean to upset you but it's true you know!" Herman said.

"It is...." Lily sighed. "But he never gives up."

"He need to his inventions cause so many problems in this house!" Marilyn exclaimed.

"Mom! Dad! Spot bit the head off my Woof Woof!" Eddie exclaimed handing his Woof Woof to his mother.

"Oh!" Lily scoffed. She marched over to the stairs and the stairs came up. The Addams Family was astonished and in awe about what was happening before their eyes.

"Spot you've been a very naughty boy!" Lily scolded. "How dare you bite the head off your owners favorite stuffed animal!"  Spot growled in response. Lily scoffed and closed the stairs.

"What on earth was that?!" Morticia asked.

"Oh, that's just spot, our pet dragon." Lily smiled.

Morticia's eyes widened.

"You have a real dragon?!" Morticia exclaimed. "That is just marvelous! How ever did you manage to get it?!"

"Where anyone else would get a pet, a pet store." Lily smiled.

"What pet store?" Morticia asked. "I'd love to get a pet dragon for my family!"

"You should! There only the best house pets!" Lily exclaimed.

"I agree completely." Morticia smiled.

Lily smiled and she and Morticia went back into the living room to find Eddie crying.

"Oh, now don't you worry Eddie." Lily said walking over to hug her son. "Mommy will fix your Woof Woof."

"IT'LL NEVER BE THE SAME!!" Eddie exclaimed. "I WANT SPOT OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO COME BACK!! NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!"

Eddie ran upstairs crying and slammed his bedroom door shut. At the same time spot walked out the door and ran away.

"Oh my poor baby!" Lily exclaimed. "It's all because of that naughty spot that this happened!"

"There, there, Lily like you said you can always see the head back on." Herman said.

"Herman, you heard Eddie, it won't be the same!" Lily exclaimed. "Herman, as Eddie's father I order you to go upstairs and talk to Eddie."

"Me?!" Herman exclaimed. "You're the one he went crying to!"

"I know Herman but you're  the boy's father!" Lily exclaimed.

"You're  his mother!" Herman exclaimed. Herman and Lily looked at the Addams Family awkwardly.

"I do apologize for my husband's foolishness." Lily said. "But as the boys father he should be the one to speak to Eddie."

"Alright, Lily." Herman said giving in. "I will talk to the boy as long as you give the house tour."

"I will do that." Lily said before Herman went upstairs to talk to Eddie.

"Alright, as you know this is the living room." Lily said.

"There's an actual electric chair." Gomez commented. "Does it work?"

"I don't know, but we must try it someday!" Lily said.

Lily showed the Addams' their organ and how it works which Lurch was interested in, but it wasn't the same as his harpsichord. Lily explained to them how the fireplace worked where everything they would need in the living room was stored.

Next, she led them to the kitchen. The Addams' were delighted to see an actual cauldron in the kitchen.

"We have a cauldron at our house!" Wednesday exclaimed. "But we only use it for punch."

"I use mine to cook our family meals." Lily said. "But it's mostly for salads and soft foods."

"Salads?" Gomez asked confused.

"Yes, haven't you ever heard of a fruit salad before?" Lily asked.

"Oh yes! There's nothing like fresh fruit!" Gomez exclaimed.

"You should try Lily's fruit salad." Herman said. "It is delicious!"

"Oh, Pussycat you'll have me blushing!" Lily said modestly.

"My goal exactly." Herman teased which made Lily smile and blush a dark shade of green. Herman though this was adorable. He liked making his wife blush that dark shade of green.

"Where were we.....?" Lily asked. "Now I will show you the phone coffin." Lily led everyone from the kitchen to the phone coffin that pull out when the rope is pulled. Lily pulled the rope and the coffin opened to reveal a casket with a telephone in it. The Addams Family was amazed. They never had something that neat at their house.

"That's a really swell place to keep a phone!" Pugsley exclaimed.

"Thank you dear, we do like to have our own style." Lily smiled. Lily lead the Addams' upstairs. The hallway was covered in cobwebs and there were statues everywhere.  The one thing that stood out the most was the little secret 'room' the Munsters likes to use in case of emergencies. Lily showed them how it worked and everyone was impressed.

"I wish we had something like that at our home, we could put tunnels in the house and we could get around easier." Gomez said.

"True dear, but Pugsley already has tunnels dug all over the house." Morticia said. "We already have more tunnels than we'll ever need."

"You can never have too many tunnels father." Pugsley said. "Especially when you can dig with your teeth!"

"Well, if you all will excuse me, we will continue the tour later, I must start dinner." Lily said going downstairs to begin dinner.

"Uh, Lily What are we having?" Herman asked.

"Mushroom stew with frog legs on the side!" Lily called back.
