Lily cut up the mushrooms carefully and placed them gently in to the cauldron she did most of her cooking in. She sliced other vegetables and chicken broth and placed those ingredients into the cauldron as well. She began to stir as the mushroom stew cooked. Lily looked around the kitchen because and uneasiness courses through her. All day she felt as if something was wrong, or something horrible was bound to happen. She tried all day to put that uneasy feeling aside but to no avail. She continued uneasily to stir the stew still lost in thoughts of uneasiness and the boiling water popped out at her burning her hand.
"Bats!" Lily muttered under her breath. "Just BATS!"
Lily massaged the burnt area on her hand and the pain subsided after a few good minutes. Lily walked back to the cauldron wondering what on earth was wrong with her cauldron. That has never happened to her before because it wasn't supposed to. The nice witch in Transylvania who sold it to her explained she put a spell on it so any substance in the cauldron wouldn't hurt a fly. In other words, boiling water should not have popped out at her...unless she set the temperature too high.
Lily checked the temperature and sure enough. She had set it too high. Lily mentally rolled her eyes at herself.
"Now I've goofed it." Lily thought. "For once in my lives I've goofed it." Lily normally never did anything like this. She was a smart woman who was always poised and focused and never got distracted.....unless something horrible happened in her family, but nothing horrible has happened in her family, or has it?

Lily was finally able to compose herself and finish dinner the right way. She made sure the temperature was set right and everything was put in exactly as written in the instructions. Before she could summon the family and their new friends for dinner Eddie ran in the kitchen yelling and crying.
"Eddie dear whatever is the matter?" Lily asked extending her arms for her son to run into which Eddie accepted.
"Spot is missing mom!" Eddie exclaimed.
"Are you sure? Did you look around the house?" Lily asked.
"Yes! I looked in his favorite spot under the stairs first, but he wasn't there!" Eddie sobbed. "Usually he's there unless somebody tells him to come out."
"Don't you worry dear, we will find him." Lily said kissing the top of Eddie's head.
"I think he ran away because I got mad at him for ruining my woof woof. I did have one heck of a tantrum." Eddie said. "He's my best friend and I lost 'im!"
"Don't worry dear, we will find him." Lily reassured Eddie. "Everyone! Come in the living room quickly!"
Everyone came rushing in the living room from all different directions.
"What is it aunt Lily?" Marilyn asked.
"Spot is missing!" Lily exclaimed. "Has anybody seen him?" Everyone looked at each other and shook their heads.
"No one saw him go out Lily dear." Herman said.
"Trust us if we saw a dragon we'd tell ya." Pugsley said.
"I second that," Gomez said.
"Well, weather either of you have seen them or not, we need to find him." Lily said. "Everyone help me put up posters around town, and spread the word." Lily said handing everybody paper and pictures of Spot.
"Glue these photos to the paper and write "Missing dragon, reward 500 dollars." Lily ordered. "And Herman, you understand everything that I'm saying."
"Loud and clear Lily dear." Herman said.
"Are you sure?" Lily asked.
"Yes, Lily, have I ever been known to mess something up?" Herman asked. Lily gave Herman a look.
"What?!" Herman asked.
"Herman, if I had a dollar for every time you've goofed something I would be the richest woman in the world."
"How dare you! I can be smart!" Herman exclaimed.
"I love you Herman, but when are you EVER...Well, only about grandpa's potions." Lily said.
"Thank you! That is almost what I wanted to hear!" Herman exclaimed.
As everyone else was talking about how to find spot Pugsley pulled Eddie and Wednesday into a huddle.
"I have plan, us three will sneak out and look for Spot." Pugsley said.
"But isn't that against the rules?" Eddie asked, confused.
"What's the point of having rules if they're not broken?" Pugsley asked.
"Come on!" Wednesday said leading the two boys outside by the hands. The boys struggled and shuffled along behind because Wednesday was too fast, the adults oblivious to them sneaking out.
"Does everyone know what to do?" Marilyn asked.
"Grandpa and Mama search the neighborhood, Gomez and I will search downtown, and Herman, Marilyn, and Lily will search spots favorite places." Morticia said. Lily, Herman, and Marilyn took the Munster family car while the others searched on foot. Mama and Grandpa began to search the neighborhood. They knocked on the neighbor's doors and asked if they'd seen Spot but every time they knocked, the neighbors would either slam the doors in their faces or run off to who knows where.
~
"Wednesday, we've looked everywhere!" Eddie exclaimed. "We haven't seen him anywhere!"
"I know but we have to keep looking! Eddie, you can't just give up!" Wednesday said.
"Well....I would find him sooner than this." Eddie said. "Edward Wolfgang Munster, don't be such a sissy!" Wednesday exclaimed. "You to Pugsley! If you two bozos won't find him I'll find him myself!" As Wednesday walked sassily away her pigtails began to fall out, showing off her long and straight but wavy black hair. She definitely had her mother's hair. Eddie and Pugsley ran after her.
"Wednesday wait! We want to help!" Pugsley exclaimed.
"Oh, bolting I thought you were a bunch of sissies...." Wednesday said.
"Excuse me?!" Pugsley exclaimed in unison.
"I am an Addams! Us Addams' are not sissies!" Pugsley exclaimed.
"And I'm a Munster!" Eddie exclaimed. "I can destroy things as good as my pop can!"
"Oh, really?" Wednesday asked. "Let's see you do it!"
"Fine!" Eddie exclaimed, picking up a stray brick on the sidewalk and throwing it against a lamppost denting it. Wednesday's mouth was agape.
"You did that?" Wednesday asked.
"Yup! Told ya, just like my pop!" Eddie exclaimed.
"Maybe you're not a sissy after all." Wednesday said.
"Thank you, Wednesday." Said Eddie.
"You're welcome.....I guess." Wednesday said.
~
Everyone met back at the house after an hour search. They looked in the sewers, the swamps, and the neighbor's pools. Anywhere someone would typically finds dragon Spot was nowhere to be found.
"Eddies going to be devastated." Lily said.
"I could only imagine how Wednesday would feel if her pet spider Homer ran away." Morticia said.
"She'd be lost without that spider." Gomez said. "After all a spider is a girl's best friend."
"Very true, dear." Morticia said.
"Speaking of the children, have they been home like they were supposed to be?" Lily asked.
"Yes, Lurch was watching them." Morticia said. "Lurch!"
"You called?" Lurch asked.
"Have you seen the children?" Morticia asked.
"No." Lurch said.
"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed in unison. "Where are they?!"
"Gone." Lurch said.
"Lily, call the police! Eddie's gone!" Herman exclaimed. "Call the military! Call the fire department! The hospital! Just find Eddie!"
"Gomez darling we must call somebody!" Morticia said.
"The fire department! Anything!" Herman exclaimed.
"I'll call 911!" Lily exclaimed heading towards the phone coffin. Lily dialed 911. The phone rang once, twice , three times until someone finally picked up.
"911, officer Jackson what's your emergency?" The dispatcher asked.
"This is Lily Munster. I am calling to report three missing persons." Lily said.
"Name and descriptions please?" Officer Jackson said.
"First of all, my boy Eddie has the cutest pointy ears, a lovely shade of green and slicked black hair." Lily said. "Pugsley is chubby, about four foot five, and little Wednesday has long black braids, her two front teeth are missing, and she has a pallor about her."
"Thank you, we will do all we can." Officer Jackson said.
"You're welcome, and please! Find my boy as soon as possible!" Lily said.
