Chapter 6 - This Dragon is YOUR Pet?!

"Grandpa it's been two hours since I've called 911 and they STILL haven't found Eddie!" Lily exclaimed. "If they don't call soon I'll just start biting my nails.....AGAIN!"

"Now Lily don't get your fangs in a twist." Grandpa said.

"Don't tell me not to get my fangs in a twist like you or mother would've gotten your fangs in  a twist if my sister or I went missing like this!" Lily exclaimed.

"Of course we would have!" Grandpa exclaimed. "Why back in the old country kids went missing all the time, but got found in the end! If I didn't know better I'd say our boy is coming home this minute!"

"It's been TWO HOURS Grandpa!" Lily exclaimed.

"Well, we still have until evening....." Grandpa said. "And don't you think the boy ought to go out and explore a little?"

Suddenly, Lily began to cry. Herman rushes over to his wife and took her in his arms.

"Grandpa I'll thank you to be quiet! I think we've all had enough of your nonsenseness!" Herman exclaimed rubbing up and down Lily's back. Morticia was biting her thumb and pacing the living room with Gomez trying to calm her down.

"Gomez darling, where's my dragon?" Morticia asked, her voice shaking.

"It's in the suitcase in the car." Gomez answered. "Do you need it Querida Mia?" Morticia nodded, and Gomez went out to the car and retrieved the dragon from the suitcase. Morticia sat down on the living room couch and Gomez handed her the dragon. Morticia placed the dragon in her lap and began to stroke it with her hand causing smoke to emerge from the dragon's mouth. Morticia began to cry.

"Where are my babies?" Morticia asked. "Where are they?" Gomez walked over to Morticia and sat next to her, and rubbed soothing circles around her back.

"I'm worried too Querida." Gomez said. "But we must have courage."

"I couldn't possibly have courage at a time like this!" Morticia exclaimed Morticia cried. "My babies are out there all alone and they could be anywhere!"

"We must think where they could be." Gomez said.

"There's no thinking to do!" Morticia exclaimed. "This an unfamiliar area, other than this house there are no decent swamps for the children to play in...although there's the cemetery...."

"Then we shall check the cemetery!" Gomez said. Everybody loaded into the Munster's car and drove off to the Mocking Bird Heights Cemetery. Everyone got out of the car and split up to search for the children.

"Wednesday, Pugsley!" Morticia called checking behind a head stone. Gomez checked behind a tree while Herman checked all the headstones, and Lily and Marilyn walked to the cemetery shack and a man was at the front desk. He was a solemn but friendly looking man. He had black hair that was fading and had heavy leaded eyes. He looked to be in his mid forties with those laugh lines around his lips.

"Hello, May name is Simon. What can I do for you two young ladies?" Simon asked.

"Did three children happen to be playing in the cemetery?" Lily asked. Simon was taken aback by this question.

"Certainly not...but it's to make sure, what did they look like?" Simon asked.

"Well, first my son has the most adorable pointy ears, and his hair is jet black and greased, his skin is a light shade of green." Lily explained.

"No...I don't think I've ever seen a boy like that." Simon said, feeling awkward. "No one ever...plays in places like this....you do understand that don't you?"

"But isn't that normal...for children to play I mean?" Marilyn asked, confused.

"Of course! What child doesn't play?!" Simon asked. "But they never play in cemeteries because they're.....well...depressing...."

"This isn't the point." Lily said, firmly. "The point is have you seen my boy?"

"No, lady for your information I HAVEN'T!" Simon exclaimed, getting irritated with Lily. "I've had it up to HERE with you two! You two are grown women and you'd allow your child to play in a spooky, disturbing cemetery! In fact the pair of you think a cemetery is a place to play yourselves!"

"Well, doesn't everyone play in this cemetery?" Marilyn asked.

"No!" Simon said. "Get out!!"  Lily and Marilyn backed away and ran out of the cemetery shack.

"I wonder why that man got so upset...." Marilyn said.

"I don't know considering he had no reason too." Lily said. "He had a temper on him too."

"Don't all the neighbor's have temper  on then when it comes to us?" Marilyn asked.

"You've noticed it too?" Lily asked.

"Of course I've noticed!" Marilyn exclaimed. "Do you remember how Mr. Bloom and Miss Cribbins reacted when Grandpa's love potion wore off?"

"Yes, Mr. Bloom acted terrified of me but I'm just like any other human being!" Lily said.

"I know Lily." Herman said. "We're all just like the average American family."

"Well, we are in America." Morticia said.

"She has a point." Grandpa said. "But I still don't want to be labeled as average! It's an insult to the Munster name!"

"Grandpa enough of your petty tantrums now! Eddie is missing and this is all you can do?!" Lily exclaimed.

"You can't blame me!" Grandpa exclaimed. Lily grunted in frustration.

"I am trying to find my poor missing boy and NOBODY is being of any help!" Lily exclaimed.

"But we are Lily dear!" Exclaimed Herman.

"Oh really...." Lily said. "Let me explain something to you, you big galoufa. OUR child went missing earlier today, and-" *BLAM!* Lily's ranting was interrupted by a big dragon bursting through the door.

"Spot!" Lily exclaimed. She looked at the top of spot and there was Eddie, Wednesday, and Pugsley, all riding the dragon. "Oh Eddie! Get down here!" Lily ordered. Eddie slid down Spot's back and ran over to his mother. Lily wrapped her arms around Eddie and gave him a big kiss on the head.

"Where on earth did you go Edward Wolfgang Munster?!" Lily exclaimed.

"We all went to look for Spot! And sure enough we found 'im!" Eddie answered.

"Wednesday! Pugsley!" Morticia exclaimed. "Get down here immediately!" Wednesday began to slide down Spot's back when Pugsley pushed back up and complained. "Let me go first! You go first at everything!" Pugsley said. "Oh, don't be a spoiled sport!" Wednesday exclaimed as she pushed Pugsley out of the way and slid down Spot's back, Pugsley following her. The two Addams children ran over to their mother.

"Listen to me, you cannot I repeat, you cannot wander off, without telling me, father, mama, Lurch, or uncle fester!" Morticia exclaimed. "Do you understand?!"

"Yes, mother, were sorry." Wednesday and Pugsley said.

"Oh, darlings." Morticia said embracing her children and kissing them both on their foreheads.

"Now children, did you learn a lesson from all of this?" Gomez asked.

"Yes, we did." All three children said in unison.

Suddenly, there was stranger at the door. Everyone turned around to face the stranger. His skin was fair toned, and his hair was brunette and wavy and he was wearing a leather jacket and a collared shirt and blue jeans and cowboy boots

"Hello, sir." Said Herman. "Can we help you?"

"Um, yes. There was a report of a disturbance in this house." The man said.

"Oh, I, uh, I wonder why." Said Herman.

"Oh dear." Said Lily. "Was it Spot?"

"Who's Spot?" The man asked. "The beast that was running around?"

"Beast?" What do you mean beast?" Herman asked. Suddenly there was a growl and Spot went outside and the man saw him. His eyes widened.

"This dragon is YOUR pet?!" The man exclaimed.

""Of course! Doesn't everyone have a pet dragon?" Marilyn asked.

"No! I certainly don't!" The man said, before running right out of the Munster's house and into the car parked outside.

"Well?!" A man in a fedora asked.

"What?! I didn't get anything done!" The brunette said.

"Well, Adrian, when Lionel Barker wants something done, he gets it done and done right." Lionel said.

"I'm sorry, but I'd like to see you get something done with a dragon in a house!" Adrian exclaimed, visibly shivering.

"Well, the next time, you do what your boss tells you to do....or else." Lionel said. "Mrs. Addams will be mine. One way or another......."
