"Papa was crying a lot when Ains left, Ains is worried." Said a girl with huge bright brown hair, it almost looked golden. Everyone was staring at her as she waltzed all the way from the staff room block through the gigantic school.
Maybe it was the fact that she was talking to herself, maybe it was because she was wearing pants instead of a dress or a skirt. Or maybe it was because her uniform was out of this world.
Her blazer was pink, its shoulders broad and sleeves covered her hands. A collar seemed to start from and hug her neck tightly and seemed to be the only thing she was wearing. Her blazer was loose and its fluttering brought attention to her equally pink pants.
She had with her a small bag hanging from her shoulder, students ultimately ruled that she must be a new teacher. But then again, apart from vampire Ren, teachers normally dress in bland military gear if not formal attire. Pink was, too out there even for a new weirdo on the block. Then again, this school is a very huge place.
After walking for what seemed like an eternity the girl collapsed on her knees and lowered her head. The warning bell had already rung and the dc was walking into the streets of heaven's road (that's what they call the walk from the house of shine block to the staff room block.)
As much as they would've liked to see how the dc interacted with the new character, the students valued a peaceful day even more and returned to class.
Two members, a boy, and a girl approached the tired newcomer and asked to see her student or teacher's id. She handed them her tablet and they immediately helped her up. The two members of the dc prioritized helping this girl find her class over anything else and thus didn't see Joaquin lazily walking from class after the bell signaling homeroom went off.
His teacher was a cranky man with a smoke ability, knowing that there was no way of escaping punishment from him even if he was a second late. Joaquin stopped by the nurse's office to swindle a note from one of them. The note kind of worked but he was still tasked with looking for the new girl. A girl he was walking away from at this very moment.
[Since we have some free time would you like to try out the book?]
'Why, does it give me powers right then and there?'
[It should. But first, we need to accomplish what kind of magic you gained.]
'I know a place.'
[Didn't you get in trouble for blowing up the roof?]
'When have I ever did such a thing?' Joaquin said. 'I am going to look for the girl for now. You can tell me about the grimoire while I'm on my way.'
[It's no fun explain, but if I must, I shall. Like I've already said before, the grimoire embodies you, your fate, and your deepest desires, and you should be able to activate it now for an ability. Try it]
Joaquin paused and opened the book, it was blank and he was confused. He didn't ask anything though and decided to learn how to activate it himself.
'Can I borrow some mana.'
[Why?]
'I wanna activate the book.'
[Just use your or the power of friendship. There is no grounded logic behind the grimoire. That is until the user activates it of course.]
'For something like this, I guess a voice command could get it going.' He sighed. 'Here goes nothing.'
By now, the girl in the pink suit was making her way up the floors of the house of shine block aimlessly. As she walked by the window and saw the little gardens in the middle of the painfully modern structures, she fell in love and wanted to go outside to see. This would've been amazing had she known how to get there.
Finally, she stopped by one of the biggest windows in the lock, she pressed her face against the glass and almost teared up. "Ains wants to play with the flowers and the bees," she sobbed. Miss Ains here was not at all aware of one of the only two elevators in the block situated right from behind her.
Suddenly there was a huge surge of energy coming up from somewhere in the building. Ains felt it and it felt warm, it was unlike anything she had experienced before. She closed her eyes in order to track it down but the first thought that came into her head was that of a wizard, no it looked even more fun. It was a magician pulling a bunny out of his hat and then later presenting her flowers from his wand.
Ains's smile grew wider and wider until a cute little chuckle escaped her mouth because she had found the origin of the energy. She took off running down the hallway, no, she frolicked at Mach speed and before she knew it she crashed into someone.
Just right then, as Ains raised her head from an unconscious Joaquin's chest, the disciplinary committee came into the hallway and found them. Her hair was messy and the missionary position they were in had the whole class looking and whispering from beyond their window.
The boy and girl councilors of the disciplinary committee sternly asked them back into their seats and help Ains escort Joaquin back to the nurse's office, for real this time.
"Miss Rosehearts please, we beg you to return to your class after this. If the other elites found out that you were..." The boy worriedly said.
"What's an elite." Ains cut him off.
Both the girl and boy gave her shocking looks and for a second because they thought she was joking. But Ains asked again.
"They are those who have the best binary abilities in school, well-respected warriors, and knights." The boy nervously responded quickly.
Ains thought for a second and quickly jumped up with a light scream. "Does that mean Ains knocked out an elite?"
