Although the Idol Prince was upset about not bringing his right-hand man he still didn't come alone. He was with Ruben and he was also looking for Joaquin, you could say the reason why Joaquin left was that he sensed Ruben around.
Ruben already knew that Joaquin would try and avoid him so when the Idol Prince went inside to confront him Ruben walked to the back door.
"JOJO!" He called for Joaquin.
Ains who was following Joaquin from behind wanted to help the poor boy get a hold of Joaquin but she also didn't want to anger him. After changing her gaze between Joaquin and Ruben she finally decided to catch up to Joaquin before he disappeared down the stairs.
Ruben stopped in his tracks and watched Joaquin open the door and disappear behind it.
"Aren't you going to chase him?" The Idol Prince Wang asked as he came out from the back door. Ruben shook his head. "I thought you wanted him for something important, or isn't that the case anymore?
"I do want him for something important, it's also important to him so he should be coming back in a few minutes."
"Normally a person on the 10th Grand Seat wouldn't be worried for someone who isn't even in any famiglia. So it's odd to see you act like this," the Idol Prince said as he finally walked out of the classroom and walked towards Ruben.
"I don't think that there should be anything surprising about…"
"Don't be late," Joaquin said as he walked back into the hallway with Ains behind hind him.
"Whoa! He really came back."
"And why would I come to you when you're the one who needs my help?" Ruben smirked as he squinted his eyes.
Joaquin blinked twice and almost pouted as he shifted his eyes to the Idol Prince, "Idol Wang. Would be interested in having me leech off your famiglia tomorrow?"
Ruben gasped and quickly shifted his attention between Joaquin and the Idol Prince.
"So this is what this is about?" The Idol Prince said as he tapped his forehead with his fan. "I don't see anything wrong with it so okay no problem. Just get to us before the bus leaves."
"Master, what are you guys talking about?" Ains asked as she pulled on the sleeve of Joaquin's blazer.
"Before the end of this week, every second-year student is expected to have gone exploring or hunting. I was supposed to go…" Joaquin paused and turned to look at Ains as he slowly moved his arm away from her. "Who… Is… Your… Master? Don't you ever call me that again."
'Did Ains upset master?' She wondered.
"Oh, I've been meaning to ask you about that girl. How is she so close to you and not dead yet?" Ruben asked as he put his hands in his pockets.
Before Joaquin answered, he heard a notification ping in his journal. He called it out and it appeared in front of him, a dark reddish-black book appeared in Joaquin's hands out of nowhere.

Joaquin let out an angry cough which almost sounded like something between chocking on something just roaring at the top of his lungs. 'By whatever means necessary whatever power I awaken I'm gonna cultivate it to choke ghosts.'
"Whoa!" Ruben clapped his hands twice and smiled. "Father will be happy to hear that you've awakened a grimoire, the only problem now is that we spent most of our lives learning how to fight."
"Wow, where did you get it? I thought your body couldn't produce any mana." The Idol Prince added.
"Oh, you probably shouldn't have seen that. I had to sacrifice a hundred virgins in order to summon it from the pits of hell."
Ruben cleared his throat, "A hundred school girls have already been reported missing and you're walking around the school with a girl who calls you master. You might wanna dial down on the insensitive jokes."
"Do I really have to? Because that's what everyone is going to think when they see me with the grimoire and my girlfriend." Joaquin heard another ping in his grimoire. 'Damn I'm gonna kill this ghost.'
"But that doesn't mean you also have to think about yourself that way…"
"As if calling myself an angel in the mirror would change anything and so does pretending that I'm one. You seem to forget that I didn't just wake up someday and decided that I want to be like this." Joaquin turned around and walked away, this time he decided to look for an elevator.
'All I wanted to say was that you should at least try to smile every once in a while. We should be heading to the city to celebrate this event, instead, we almost fought over nothing again.' Ruben thought to himself as he also turned to walk the opposite way.
'Wait did he say girlfriend?' Ruben turned to look for Joaquin and Ains but found nothing. 'Damn it.' He thought to himself.
"Is anything wrong?" The Idol Prince asked. Ruben shook his head and they went back to class together.
On the other side of the building, Joaquin was running like hell until he reached the elevator. He looked back and wondered, 'did I lose that girl too?'
When the elevator opened up she got inside and startled Joaquin, although his heart did skip a few beats, his expression remained unexcited. "How did you do that?" He asked.
"Ains ran?"
He pretended to have not heard that and got in.
"What are looking at?"
"What's a girlfriend?"
"A friend who is a girl."
"Is Ains master's friend?"
"Of course not."
