"Hatsing!"
I was surprised to see her. Curious to know why she sneezing. I saw her at the door of her room, holding a box of tissue, his nose was already red.
I approached her, but all of a sudden, I stopped walking to her when he unexpectedly sneezed.
"What happened to you? Look at your nose, which is already red—don't get me wrong, you look like a clown now."
She looked at me sharply. "Hatsing!" her only response was a sneeze.
I wanted to laugh at the redness of her nose, but then at the same time I was concerned about her condition as it was the first time I saw her sniffing like this.
I followed her until we got to the living room and she was still sneezing, sneezing incessantly.
I took medicine, too, so that it wouldn't get any worse. But I realized that she's been sneezing for a week, but I just don't pay attention because she may just smell something that makes her nose itch.
Yet it does not seem to be the reason for her to sneeze too often in this situation. Although I want to call a doctor, but I don't have a cellphone to use to, Momma has no intention of buying us, so sometimes I get weird when I use it.
"Here... drink this," I gave her the medicine so she could drink it.
"Than—Hatsing!" I just got away from her so I'm not going to get infected.
"Sorry," she sniff.
I don't know if Momma already knows this, but it doesn't look like that because if she already does, she's going to call our doctor to check her condition.
"Why is really happening and why are you like that? It's almost a week—I think you need to consult a doctor."
She shook her head immediately. "No, hatching... I'm just going to rest it, maybe I'm just tired." she said the she walked away.
She's upstairs, but I can still hear her sneeze down here in the living room.
'I don't get it,' I said on my mind before shaking my head.
Was she tired? It's doubtful because she hasn't been out of the house for almost a week, but I'm not sure if that's right. She didn't tell me what the reason was, yes, I asked her earlier but the reason? No, I never did that, especially, when they haven't talked on their own—because it sounds disrespectful if I lead them.
I went to the kitchen to ask Aling Rosa what had happened to my sister. I saw Aling Rosa cleaning in the kitchen, she didn't notice me, and when I called her, she instantly held her chest where her heart was, as if she was about to have a heart attack.
She also screamed in shock, I just blinked and then apologized because I had no intention of startling her. I may even be the cause of her death, and when that happens, my conscience will not let me sleep.
I go near the table, then placed my left elbow and put my hand on my chin.
"Aling Rosa," I said.
She didn't respond, she just kept cleaning. I always kept on asking her because I knew she was listening to what I had to say.
"What happened to my sister because she was always sneezing," there was concern in my voice.
I'm not a doctor or nurse, but maybe it has a different effect.
She stopped cleaning, then she looked at me. "I don't know, I ask, and she doesn't answer me." yet again, she resumed cleaning.
I just sighed, even though there was a part of me that was jealous and didn't want to be with her, I also couldn't bear seeing her like that.
"Does Momma already know?"
She shook her head. "It doesn't seem like that yet, because if she knows she's going to call the Doctor to see it right away." she stopped what she was doing again. "Why don't you tell your Momma about that? I think she's been thinking of it." then, again, she continued.
"Maybe... later?" she just nodded.
I was thinking of going to her room to see if her sneezing was still bad. It's natural to look at it, but it doesn't seem to her.
'She's sneezing like there's no tomorrow.' I said on my mind, I don't want to voice it out, she might hear it.
I could hear a loud sneeze outside her door. My forehead creased, and I couldn't help but worry about that now.
I knocked at the door of her room, and she shouted at me to come in. I walked in and saw her lying on her bed, she sneezed again, and now she had a cold, then she cough.
I approached her, with such a piece of tissue on the other side of her nose. I touched his forehead, it was really hot. I was even more worried, I know that if a person is hot, except for it's life, she has a fever. Immediately, I left her room and hurried to the kitchen where the medicines have been.
And I saw it at the top of the drawer on the right side of the cereals.
I took the medicine box, I was searching for a medicine that could treat the fever, but I didn't know what it was!
"Aling Rosa!"
"Aling Rosa!"
I called Aling Rosa when I was searching for a fever medication. I even thought to ask her what the name of the medicine was, because the truth is that I don't know the name of the medicine.
"What's the name of it?" I whispery asked.
I'm wasting my time searching the medication. Today, it's maidens day off so I couldn't asked about it, except Aling Rosa, but she's not even here at home. Aling Rosa was not here, maybe she's in town—the reason why she's not here.
"Looks like Aling Rosa's going to be gone for too long, what will I gonna do?" I'm starting to get panic.
It takes 20-30 minutes, far as I know, to get there and come home, so if I wait for her, my sister—get worse, and I'm afraid of what could happen when that happens.
"It's... argh! What's that—what's that medicine, gosh!"
I closed my eyes tightly, then opened my eyes, looked at the medication scattered on the table, and grabbed one of them. I rushed upstairs to her room immediately. I don't know if I took it right—what ever!
I just found her in the same position, were her position earlier is just the same. The tissue was still in her nose, and her hand was hanging on the floor, prone to the bed.
I go to her right away, luckily there was water on the table, so there's no need for me to go back to the kitchen. I opened the medicine and took the water, then gave it to her, then I offered this to her so she could drink it.
I didn't leave her side until night I took good care of her. I just went back to my room to take a bath, and then I went back to her room again. I'm still waiting for Momma to come home, but until night she's not yet home, I'm really worried about her because her fever doesn't seem to go down.
"Stacia... stacia..." someone's calling me.
"Uhh...hmm?" I whimper.
"Stacia, wake up this is Momma, get up there." she said.
Even though I felt sleepy, I forced myself to wake up. "Momma... what time did you get here?" I was asking sleepily.
"I just got here, and I found out about the news, so I came straight here—go to your room and rest there."
"Uhm..." I obeyed what she said to me.
When I got to my room, I went back to sleep. I woke up all of a sudden, remembering the condition of my sister.
Before I went to her room, I took a bath. She wasn't there anymore. I was wondering where she has been because she was here, earlier. I went to the downstairs right away. Luckily, I saw Yaya Julie in the living room cleaning up.
"Yaya, where's my sister, and then Momma? Where are they?" I asked her.
She stopped cleaning, and then she faced me. "Ah... eh... they left recently." she said, she continued cleaning the living room.
"Where did they go?" I asked again, she just shrugged.
I'm just going to ask Aling Rosa if she knows that either. I saw her at the dining table, and I approached her to ask where they had been.
"Aling Rosa, where were they went?" I curiously asked.
She turned to me. "They went to the Hospital, immediately, because your sister had been seriously ill."
Suddenly, I felt sad and worried about her sickness.
"Will they last for a long period?"
She finished what she was doing, then she confronted me. "I don't know, too, if she's totally well, they'll go home."
I just pouted, wondering what her condition was. If I could only get her sickness I might have done it last night—even though I was envious of her I couldn't bear to see her struggling.
I bit my lower lip and I bowed. "I hope she'll recover soon, and her sickness will disappear."
