The Headmaster's aura flowed from his body to his hands.
" !Β‘πΉβ΄α·β· βκπΉβ΄ αγͺβΈ !Β‘β·πΉβΈ Μ£ α·α΅βΈ Μ£. SHIELD!"
The aura erupted from the palms of the Directors hands, forming a visible wall of magic in front of the Headmaster.
"Well? Take your best shot!"
Deja smiled to himself. If he took his best shot, the Headmaster would die.
'[System], set {Perfect Energy Control} to just above basic status.'
[Understood]
Deja pointed his hands at the Headmaster. As to not show off his beyond human abilities, he decided to chant aloud.
"βκαα²α·, Κββ·γͺ κπΉγͺβ£ αγͺβΈ Κβ·ββ£ββΈ Μ£. Fireshot!"
A blaze of fire left his palm, hitting the shield dead on. The Headmaster didn't move a muscle.
"Heh. Even if you are a prodigy, I guess the first tier is the first tier. Alright, you pass. Even though you are younger than the rest, the rest of the teachers, including myself, will not go easy on you."
"Thank you very much sir."

Deja finally said goodbye to the professor, who handed him a sheet of paper and told him to go to the Director. Deja gratefully accepted the sheet, and headed back towards the gate. Stepping outside, he noticed how dark it had become.
'Well, even if it is dark, I managed to pass!'
The Exam Director looked up from the desk and saw Deja walking back towards him. He smiled.
"Did the Headmaster do anything? Like make you take a extra test, or something?"
"No, all the Headmaster did was make me fire a Basic level spell at his shield spell."
"Well that's quite alright, I bet you'll make it in next year."
"... The Headmaster passed me."
"HE PASSED YOU!?!"
"Is that so surprising?"
"Quite." The director shook his head. "Of all the people who have gone in to be tested by him, only those strong enough to at least slightly singe his martial spell passed. It must mean you, the young kid that you are, managed to damage him, at least a little."
This was news to Deja. Throughout the show of skills between him and the professor, He never thought that it was a test of strength.
"Wow. I didn't know I was that strong."
"Yeah, it was a surprise for me too kid."
The Director sat back down and reached into his desk.
"You're lucky you caught me before I left. Here."
He handed Deja a key.
"This will be your room. It's the only one left, and you only have two roommates. Try to get along with them."
"Who are they?"
"Harfyr and Engrin Daefiel."
------------
Deja strolled up to his dormitory. It was very similar to that of an Earthen University, with the walls being a kind of brick/stone mix. Compared to the other buildings it was small, maybe one or two hundred meters tall. Standing in front of the grand doorway, Deja realized just what entering the academy meant to him specifically. He would be under constant threat of being found out, and would have to be using his mana up constantly to not be seen as a threat to the school and humanity.
'Heh... I guess that's what you get for being an overpowered soul in another body. [System], with my current mana power, how long can I sustain the skill {Perfect Energy Control}'
[With Deja's current mana output, coupled with his mana regeneration speed, Deja can keep the skill {Perfect Energy Control} active for 14 hours before collapsing]
'Only 14! That's going to be taxing. I guess I should only have the skill active when in class, or during magic training to keep my power secret.'
Deja sighed. He knew that these next few years ahead of him were going to be hard, with constant mana exhaustion and the threat of other's finding him out hanging above his head. Deja pushed the doors open, and a sweet smelling aroma wafted to his nose.
'Ehh, a little exploring couldn't hurt.'
Deja wandered in the direction of the smell, and came across what seemed to be a dining hall. Students were scattered around clumps of fives. Walking in to get a closer look, Deja noticed a kitchen over in the corner. While no one was in the kitchen, the cooking utensils floated around by themselves, cooking what smelled like a gourmet meal, compared to the food Deja had been eating at home. He wandered a bit farther into the room, and heard a familiar voice call out;
"Hey Twerp! The dining hall is students only."
The room went silent, with many eyes turning to Deja. Seeing such a little kid (Or their idea of a little kid) made all the students break into laughter.
"Hey kid! You shouldn't be here. Adults only."
"But I-"
"Adults Only"
Deja walked over to Engrin and slammed his room key in front of him.
"I passed."
Heads turned, and everyone ran to look at the room key that Deja had just slammed down.
"He really did pass."
"HOW!"
Engrin glared at Deja. He couldn't tolerate anyone weaker than him embarrassing him infant of the others.
"Twerp. You and me, one on one. Outside now."
Deja gladly accepted his offer.

Deja grinned. '[System], set power output to about half the power I used on the Headmaster's shield.'
[Is Deja sure? Usage of power lower than opponent could harm Deja.]
'Yes.'
Engrin was fuming. He didn't know how a twerp like Deja got in, but he was ready to expose him as a fraud.
"Twerp, you're unlucky to have been challenged by me. Combat is my forte."
Deja snorted. Engrin seemed to think that no-one else was as strong at combat as him. The other students gasped, and seeing this, Deja decided to put up an act.
"S-S-Sorry sir, I had no clue you were so strong."
Engrin bought it, and it seemed his ego inflated to double what it was.
"Of course a stupid country bumpkin like you could not sense the amount of magic that I create. You're probably a E-Rank mage at best. I, on the other hand, am a C-Rank mage. You're probably so weak that one blow from me can finish you off."
Deja chuckled to himself.
'If that's what you want to believe, so be it.'
Engrin motioned to his brother. Harfyr, who was behind Deja whispered to him as he walked by;
"Good luck. You're gonna need it."
Harfyr stepped up to the middle.
"Alright, I want a clean fight. No killing, and no cheating via other students interfering. Other than that, all spells are allowed. Begin!"
Engrin rushed forward, while simultaneously casting a spell;
"α·γͺα·β·β£|| β£αβΈ Μ£ βα·β· αγͺβΈ βκ||. Lightning Bolt!"
A bolt of pure electrical energy shot at Deja, who moved just enough that the spell shot over his shoulder, making Engrin think he had missed.
"You're lucky I missed that shot, or you'd be out already. You are obviously to weak to even compare to me."
Deja heard this remark and got mad. Searching quickly through his {Spell Library}, he found a spell that he could use to make his speed seem magical instead of natural.
"α·γͺα·β·β£||, β£αβΈ Μ£ βα·β· αβΈ Μ£- Oww"
Deja bit his tounge.
"α·γͺα·β·β£||, β£αβΈ Μ£ βα·β· αβΈ α²|| βα·α·βΈ αγͺβΈ βα·κ!Β‘ α²α· βκ||. Speed!"
Instantly after using the spell, Deja stopped the casting and activated {God-Speed Footing}. Increasing his speed by 750%, Deja seemed to vanish and re-appear in front of Engrin. He ducked under Engrin's outstretched arm, and punched him in the gut.
Coughing, Engrin backed off. Deja deactivated the skill, and pointed his palm at Engrin.
"α·γͺα·β·β£||, βββ·α·. Beam!"
A Beam of pure energy flew from Deja's palm and hit Engrin square in the chest. Engrin tried to dodge and ended up getting hit. A large cloud of smoke erupted from Engrin's location. Gasps rippled through the crowd. However, when the smoke cleared, Engrin walked out unharmed. Feigning exhaustion, Deja stumbled back. He grinned cheekily. "I used up all my magic." Engrin walked over to Deja, and punched him in the face twice. "Don't ever try to fight me again unless you want a beating". Even though the power Engrin used was a bit past the limit, nobody cared. Everyone had expected Deja to lose.
Deja wiped his hands on his trousers, and spit out the blood from his mouth.
He strolled back inside, trying to find his room number. He approached one of the other students.
"Excuse me, which way to room 10?"
The student pointed down the hall.
"Thanks!"
