Sitting in the darkness, Deja contemplated the power difference between him and Harfyr. Even though his Power was immense, Deja knew that Harfyr could take him down if he was caught off guard. '[System], are there any skills that allow me to sense other, no matter what state I'm in?'
[Checking... {Skill} found. Skill Name: {Aura Detection}. Description; Allows the User to sense an aura of another being, showing the User if they are affected by substances or harbor bad intent towards the User]
If Deja wasn't in his spirit form, he would have drawn in a sharp gasp.
'[System], isn't this a little over powered? This skill means that I can't be caught off-guard or worry about not finding someone. It would be nice though...' Deja trailed off in thought. He was worried that Harfyr was going to come back to take revenge on him for escaping with the hostages, and that he wouldn't be able to protect anyone, just like the last time. He calmed himself, and told the [System]; 'Generate skill {Aura Sense}.'
There was a short pause before the [System] answered.
[That function is unavailable right now. Due to immense damage to Deja's body, their skill, {Skill Creation} is offline until further notice. [System] warns Deja to avoid using {Skill Creation} for the foreseeable future]
Deja grimaced his none existent mouth. That was total bull. He knew he was hurt, but he didn't think that his injury was that serious.
'Alright, I guess I'll just wait for the healing to finish before I get angry. See ya when I see ya, [System].'
And with that, Deja fell into a deep slumber.
----------
Outside Deja's mind was not much better. Since the headmaster had told everyone to avoid bothering Deja until he woke up, the infirmary was quite silent. Just the slight tapping of a pencil against a clipboard. One week had passed since the attack on the school by Harfyr, and everyone was on guard. Every night, a squad of teachers patrolled the campus, telling everyone they found to head back to the dorms for curfew, which had recently been instated. By 20:00, they had to be in their rooms, and by 22:00, lights had to be off.
The attack one the school brought the peoples trust in the school down, and as such, the school lost 25% percent of the students enrolled there to the parents removing them. Emilia and Peter were probably the most worried, due to their child being at the center of the attack. All three hostages were asked to stay so they could have a timeline of events leading up to Deja's collapse in front of the headmasters office.
Engrin sighed. He was stuck watching over Deja, as the three of hostages were appointed as guards of sorts to help the recovering student. Looking at the sleeping Deja, Engrin thought about how different his life had been before Deja had arrived at the school, and his brother had gone psycho. He believed that this entire situation was the twerps fault, and he would blame him for such. Unfortunately, since he was assigned to guard Deja, he couldn't do anything drastic, but inside, he was seething with rage.
There was a knock on the door. Engrin paused, looked up, and called out "Come in." In walked the thin girl who's arm had been cut off. Her bleeding had stopped fairly quickly, and she had just kind of accepted the fact that her left arm would be gone forever. She looked at Engrin, and then at Deja. This little boy, one who was 3 years younger than her, had saved her, preventing her from losing her life, all the while risking his own to save others. She admired him for the courage that she would never have. She turned to Engrin.
"The headmaster wants you to report to his office. Something about your brother getting an untested serum from somewhere... I don't know. You might want to get there asap."
Engrin hopped up from the chair he was stuck in.
"Alright, I need a breather anyway. Have fun watching the twerp." And with that, Engrin hightailed it out of the room.

Eshanya sighed. She was good at reading people, and saw that Engrin held animosity towards Deja. She didn't know why he would be angry at the person who had saved their lives, but it seemed deep-rooted, so she stayed out of it. Looking at Deja, she saw how peaceful he was when asleep. She smiled to herself, knowing that this boy was stronger than most realized. Due to the pain of her arm being cut off, She had been awake during the fight between Deja and Harfyr. She had pretended to be knocked out in hopes that int would stop them from hurting her more than they had. Seeing Deja's power, she wondered why he had kept it secret. With those abilities, Engrin would have stood no chance. However, he had seemed quite content with his power being a secret, so she decided to help him out and keep it that way, as thanks.
She laid back in her chair. Stretching and holding her arm up, she could almost feel her other arm still. She grimaced, knowing that her life would never be the same. Eshanya thought back to that day. When they had been dragged away from the attack, healers stopped up the bleeding. she had pleaded them to fix her arm, but all of them had said it was outside their abilities. Regenerating limbs was classified as a Calamity tier spell, not one able to be used by humans. Unbeknownst to her, the one who could fix her was asleep right next to her, peaceful and comatose.

Deja's eyes shifted slightly. His consciousness had returned to his body after the long three week period, and he didn't want to startle anyone who was beside him. He heard some voices, and decided to listen in on the conversation at hand.
"-e has been out for three weeks ma'am, he probably won't wake up today. I need you to leave."
"But he is my son!"
"That does no-"
Deja had heard enough. It was nice to know his mother was worried for him. Deja's lip twitched. He knew that voice as Engrin's. He thought about just suddenly sitting up, but thought better of it. He decided to let his muscle strength return before he startled anyone, and as such, decided to rest a bit longer.
