"HARFYR!?!"
Standing in front of Deja was the one who was once considered a friend. Harfyr Daefiel, the only one who was nice to him no matter what. Harfyr pulled a vial of a greenish liquid out of his back pocket.
"Why? Why would you do this to your own brother! To me?"
A grin stretched across Harfyrs face, and a shiver of fear was sent crawling up Deja's back. The toothy grin coming from Harfyr was unnatural, inhuman. Taking a breath in, Deja focused himself. Sensing danger again, Deja stepped back. A crimson flow of mana creeped up Harfyr's arms. Preparing to counter spell, Deja took up a stance. However, what he heard next sent shivers down his spine. The one casting the spell was not Harfyr, but something more sinister. A deep, garbled voice erupted from the mouth of Harfyr Daefiel. "Iᒲʖ⚍ᒷᒲᒷリℸ ̣ 𝙹⎓ m𝙹∷ℸ ̣ ᔑꖎ╎ℸ ̣ ||. Destruction." A crimson red bolt of electricity was fired from Harfyr's palm. The arcing bolt traveled forward at unimaginable speeds. Barely dodging, Deja got hit by the beam in the shoulder. With the beam drilling a hole straight through the bone, Deja's arm was ripped off his body. Immediately, immense pain washed over Deja, causing a grunt of pain to be wrenched from his lips. Woozily, he stared at his arm laying on the floor. Deja fell to the ground in shock. Due to his immense power, he had never gotten hurt badly before, as he could just block the blow. But that bolt was something entirely different. Zipping through the air, it was so fast that Deja could barely dodge it.
'[System], what was that spell? Even at my level 20, which can stand toe to toe with a Calamity class spell or U rank monster, I couldn't protect against that.'
[Analyzing. To answer Deja's query, the spell is known as {Destruction}. It is a God-Killing spell, used only by immortal beings to kill those who they despise]
'Then how the FUCK did Harfyr get it? I thought out of all the mortals on this planet, only I was able to cast anything above elemental class.'
[It seems that Harfyr has been elevated from Basic Mage to something above an U-class monster dude to a solution ingested via oral administration. Deja is advised to finish things quickly, or run away]
Turning to face the being who was once Harfyr, Deja gritted his teeth. Summoning his soul blade, Deja started to run a Harfyr.
'[System], activate {God-Speed Footing}.'
Instantly, Deja's agility increased from 470 to 3525, due to the 750% boost from the spell. Instantly planting a foot, Deja launched himself back towards the hostages, and used his good hand to throw them over his shoulder. Sprinting towards the wall, Deja diced the cinderblocks like a knife through cake, slamming through each wall till he hit the outer layer. Gathering his wits, he jumped out the window, landing flatfooted and hurting his ankles. However, he couldn't let that slow him down. Due to his injured body, his strength was quickly running out, and his speed was greatly diminished. But he knew he couldn't slow down, or everyone around him would die. Sprinting, he ran directly to the Headmasters office. Finally losing all his strength, Deja set the unconscious trio against the walls, and crawled to the door on all three. Dragging himself on the dirt outside, he tried to get a little of his energy to come back. Mustering up the remainder, Deja pushed himself to his feet and knocked on the door.
*BANG*Bang*bang*
after the third knock, Deja fell backwards. Due to his exhaustion, it was all he could do to stay awake while waiting for the Headmaster.
'[System], use my healing abilities to clot the blood. I don't want anyone to be suspicious when my clothes are missing an arm.'
Feeling the blood harden into a scab, Deja felt little relief. Due to his injury to his feet, he couldn't run as fast, so to keep his speed he strained all his muscles. Upper and lower body. Hearing thundering footsteps approach the doors, Deja smiled. He knew that everything should be okay now. The last thing Deja saw before he sank into unconsciousness was the deep blue door of the building burst open, followed by a very worried professor.
----------
Deja tried to open his eyes, but he couldn't. Starting to panic, Deja connected the system.
'[System], what is going on?!'
[Deja has been transferred to his Souls domain due to his immense injuries. Deja will be stuck here until their wounds heal so they may survive. Deja will probably be in a three week coma]
'That eases my mind a little bit. At least I am not dead again. [System], one last favor. Those three I escaped with, are they alright?'
[Yes. All three have woken up, due to their injuries being less serious than Deja's]
'Alright. Tell me when my body is all healed up.'
[Understood]
----------
Back in the physical world, the same three Deja had just asked about, plus the headmaster, stood over him. The headmaster turned to the three students.
"Does anyone want to explain to me what happened leave him in such bad shape?"
Engrin, for the first time, seemed to be at a lost for words. His mouth gaped open and close, similar to a fish. One of the girls spoke up.
"A hooded student followed by, like, 12 other robed people came into the first year dorm and massacred everyone except us four. I don't know why, but it seemed that they needed us to draw someone out, because they just knocked us out."
This statement worried the headmaster. He hadn't expected a student to be the one who started all of this.
"Do you know who it was?"
Engrin finally spoke up.
"It was my brother. Harfyr Daefiel."
Heads turned in Engrin's direction. The headmaster walked over to Engrin.
"And you are sure?"
Engrin shakily nodded his head.
"He showed up in the room and stabbed with a needle. Right around the neck," He moved Deja's head slightly to show a small puncture mark that was already fading. "When he saw that nothing had happened, as in no blood came out and that Deja was still breathing, he went flying into a rage. He slammed my head into my desk, and before I fell unconscious, I heard a loud explosion coming from the floor below."
The Headmaster turned to Deja.
"If all of you were unconscious, then I guess we have to wait for him to wake up for us to learn what happened after you all got captured.
