"...For your crimes against the Royal Family, You will be exiled to 'the world below'! This my order!"
Hearing the Empress announce her verdict, the whole court felt silent. People felt speechless and couldn't believe what they had just heard.
What was 'The World Below'?
It was the most dangerous place in this entire realm and filled with vicious Demonic Beasts! This was no better than a death penalty! Actually, this was even worse than a death penalty!
Being exiled to 'The World Below' was the highest form of punishment. Sending a cripple to there was like sending him down the jaws of death.
This type of punishment was only reserved for the worst criminal who had committed numerous atrocious activities.
Moreover no one from the Royal Family had ever been sentenced to this type of punishment.
Even the King's brother Aaron Marsh was only exiled out of the country for trying to rebelling against the throne and killing the King Arnold years ago.
Royalty of the Rising Heaven Country are believed to be the direct decendants of the Holy Ancestor Alexandra Marsh, so their blood was simply precious. Even the Grand Emperor was courteous towards them.
Kenzeth was the first one to receive this kind of punishment!
While he may be a rogue and is labelled guilty for r*ping the Second Princess, but could his crime be compared to Aaron Marsh's?
Of course not!
Yet the Empress never once batted an eyelash while she sentenced Kenzeth to such cruel punishment.
'This B*tch... She is truly vile! Giving me no chance to breathe or to grow powerful and threaten her in future!... No, no... The person behind this mess is the Southern Governor's bastard son! Albert Sutton!' Kenzeth gritted his teeth hatefully as he tried not to lash out and strangle the wretched woman sitting on the throne infront of him.
Albert Sutton was the illegitimate child of Southern Governor, Makarov Elberisen. Consider to be someone favoured by the heavens.
The governing power of the 9 Divine Continents was distributed this way: The Grand Emperor was the most powerful figure on the entire 9 Divine Continents and he resided in the Grand Imperial Castle of the Heart Continent.
Below him were 9 Governors which where each assigned a Continent and given task to watch of their assigned areas and maintain peace between the countries in their continent.
Now Governors weren't Rulers nor did they authorities of one but just the fact that they were direct servants of the Grand Emperor made them more respectable than rulers if countries in some aspects.
Albert Sutton was the bastard child of the Southern Governor, born to the matriarch of Sutton Clan with whom the Governor had an affair.
Albert was considered a genius and was considered to be very much blessed by the heavens.
But the fact that he wasn't the legitimate heir of the Southern Governor made him resentful even though his father loved him very much.
Since birth he has been a very ambitious person and gotten everything that he wanted. How could he tolerate when he the girl he wanted was engaged to a cripple, cursed by the heavens.
'The b*stard wants me out of the way so that he can marry the Grand Emperor's daughter, who is engaged to me!' Kenzeth seethed. 'He's making sure that I have no means to survive!'
As Kenzeth contemplated his next moves, his eyes widened in surprise and glee!
'Actually... This might not be as bad as it looks! 'The World Below' is most dangerous place in this realm. Only high-level cultivators ever descend to hunt beasts for cultivation resources or for expediting the old ruins for ancient relics and even then they travel in large groups. 'The World Below' is an excellent place for me to get stronger without alerting anyone!'
Kenzeth's eyes glowed with a burning resolve.
'The only thing I have to worry about is not becoming a snack of a Demonic Beast but I think I have enough tricks up my sleeve to avoid the fate of becoming a chew toy.' Kenzeth smirked in his heart and relaxed his erratic heart.
Being a Wizard had meant embracing fatal danger without hesitation and making the best out of any bad situation. For someone who had managed to survive Black Soul Prison Tribulations this surviving in 'The World Below' was nothing than a walk in park.
'If anything, this smarta*sses are making it easier for me.' Kenzeth laughed in his heart while on outside he maintained the calm facade.
"Please reconsider your decision you highness! No matter what, Prince Kenzeth still is a descendant of the Holy Ancestor!" Fergu tried to reason with the Empress while Bethany besides him nodded vigorously but the wretch didn't budge even an inch.
"It's impossible for me to go back on my words now. A rogue like this is a danger to every single citizen of my country! I can't allow this shameless rogue to roam free." The Empress glared at Fergu and then at Kenzeth who stared back with a cold gaze that said nothing but at the same time said everything. "But I'm not as heartless as you think I am. Even though a rogue like you deserves none I'm giving you a small mercy."
The Empress stood up and walked towards Kenzeth.
"You will be exiled to 'The World Below' and thrown down by the teleportation gate after this afternoon. The period of your exile will be five years!" The Empress announce shocking everyone once again while Kenzeth just cackled madly in his heart. "The gate will be opened once again exactly five years later. If you manage to survive for five years and return, I will consider your cleansed of your sins and you will become the Emperor of the Rising Heaven Country. No questions asked."
The crowd began murmuring amongst themselves while Monroe looked nervous, but a sharp look form the Empress managed to shut him up.
"But... If you don't survive. Ha ha... Then you can only blame the heavens for abandoning you." The Empress' laugh was cold and humourless. She smirked mockingly at Kenzeth, confident that he won't be able survive.
She was expecting a look of despair but she became concerned when she saw Kenzeth smirking maniacally at her.
"If I die, blame the heavens for abandoning me? Hahaha! Don't be absurd wretched woman!" Kenzeth couldn't help but cackle unnerving everybody watching.
"You think I give a sh*t if your heavens care for me or abandon me? What a joke!" Kenzeth laughed mockingly.
"A righteous man had no need for heaven for he creates one with his own hand!" Kenzeth exclaimed. "God does not need heaven cause he can exist without one! So can exist his men even if the heavens were to be corrupted by Flames of Netherrealm!"
Each word Kenzeth said were profound and had a certain weight to them.
"If your heavens have forsaken me then I need not care for them! I, Kenzeth have never believed in fake heavens created by the delusions of mortal fools!"
"The heaven made by the essence of the immortal creator can never be corrupted by the lust or greed of a man, nor will they ever forsake a righteous man!" Kenzeth's voice was firm and his words were bold and grim. Many couldn't help but feel moved my Kenzeth's words.
"I disavow our the bond that we had. I disavow the blood in my veins. I disavow your beliefs and I shall disavow your heavens if they stand against me!" Kenzeth exclaimed boldly, his face black and his gaze cold.
The crowd were shocked hearing such bold words from Kenzeth. The Empress's face was red with anger and shame as she glared at Kenzeth.
"You... You have gone mad! The heavens will never forgive you for your blasphemy! Your fate-"
"Yeah, yeah, I have heard it a million times. No need to keep barking and hurting everyone's ears." Kenzeth interrupted Anna's rant and leveled a glare on her. "Since you have already made the arrangements to lay me dead, then you better pray that I don't rise back up."
"Because if I do then... I swear on my pride! I will make you pay tenfold!"
As soon as Kenzeth finished his sentence he released a huge amount of killing intent frightening the people near him. The Empress stumbled back a bit but managed to catch her self.
"D-Don't be absurd! You will never survive! And just like everyone before you! You will perish!" The Empress retorted with indignation.
"We will see..." Kenzeth snorted and turned around to leave. He shared a last look with Fergu and said "Please take care of Bethany in my stead. I shall return and return this favour."
Fergu didn't reply but just bowed deeply trying hide his tears of failure while Bethany besides was openly weeping. Kenzeth smiled softly.
"Wait for me Bethany. I will surely return."
Bethany smiled through her tears and nodded. Kenzeth smiled gently once again before his expression hardened and turned towards the guards.
"It's afternoon already. Take me to the gate." Kenzeth ordered and the guards could only nod dumbly. With the Empress' orders they escorted him towards to the front grounds of the Imperial Palace.
.
.
In the middle of the enormous lavish garden was a nine feet tall, five feet wide, rectangular gateway made from demonic obsidian rock with golden carvings.
Kenzeth walked towards the giant gate and stopped right infront of it. He looked around and saw a large crowd had gathered to see what was going to become of the First Prince of their Country.
He heard footsteps and turned to see the Empress with two men by her side. The men were dressed in black garb from head to toe and wore red masks.
The two man walked towards the gate and began powering it up. Purple wisps of energy began to gathering and began to form a thick layer of purple energy.
"Kenzeth for your crimes-"
"Will you just shut up and be done with it?" Kenzeth asked with an irritated growl. The Empress' flushed in anger and opened her mouth only for Kenzeth to continue. "Honestly this is getting boring and annoying. If you are going to ask me if I regret it or anything then my answer is no."
The Empress opened her mouth but no words came out and she stood there perfectly imitating a fish.
"Why should I regret something which I have never done, but I can't say the same for you. Me and you we both know who did what and what actually is going on. I know who's pulling your strings." Kenzeth listed out with a careless look. "Which reminds me, tell that b*stard Albert that if I don't return five years later then I will be waiting for him in hell."
The Empress and others felt a cold as the words left Kenzeth's mouth. This was the reason why everyone one feared him even though he was a cripple.
This perception was never off and almost nothing could be hidden from him for a long time.
"And if I return... Tell him I will 0bring the hell with me!" Kenzeth turned around not waiting for and walked towards the 'Gate To Hell' as people called it.
He looked down at his hand which were still cuffed and smirked. 'I maybe a cripple because I have no meridians. I may not be able to cultivate. But I still have my Mana Gates! And if I have Mana Gates then creating tailored Meridians from scratch for me is only a matter of time!'
Kenzeth walked the gate and with a quick concentrated burst of Mana his shackles were destroyed alerting everyone.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock unable to comprehend what happened. By the time they regained their senses Kenzeth had already touched the purple gate energy.
"I will surely return!"
A bright light emanated from the Gate which blinded them. By the time the light died down, Kenzeth had already disappeared and the Gate had also been closed off.
But Kenzeth's parting words still lingered in the solemn atmosphere.
I will surely return...
