.
Kenzeth felt his stomach turn and churn as he stepped on the other side of the Gate. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath to relax his body.
"Damn... This is really awful." Kenzeth commented bitterly. He opened his eyes which widened further as he observed his surroundings.
Behind him was a black gate similar to the one on the grounds of the Imperial Palace. Except this one was covered in moss and vines of ivy.
Surrounding him were the ruins, the remnants of some building from the Golden Era. Surrounding the ruins was thick, tall and deadly ancient forest that surely, was home to millions of Demonic Beasts.
Kenzeth admired the ruins with fascinated eyes. There was nothing much around except some blackened bones, of what he figured were of those who were exiled before him.
Kenzeth suddenly tensed as he sensed something approaching his location at terrific pace.
"Sh*t!"
Kenzeth cursed and quickly ran into a half destroyed room in the ruins. He put himself against the wall and began gathering his mana.
"Illusion Art: Cloak Of Obstruction!"
Wisps of light blue mana covered Kenzeth's frame and suddenly he became invisible.
'Well.. not actually invisible. This spells affects the cognition ability of anyone near the caster, and it makes their senses incapable of locating the caster.' Kenzeth mused to himself. 'While this isn't exactly the most domineering spell but it's application are numerous and the effect depends on the ability of the caster and how he utilizes the spell.'
Kenzeth regulated his breathing and calmed his agitated heart. Kenzeth felt a small shiver when he heard a low growl followed by hushed footsteps.
The malicious aura accompanied by the growl was enough indication and even a blind person would know what the source of this was.
'F*cking Demonic Beasts! Asshole! I just landed in here not even fifteen minutes ago! Couldn't you wait for an hour or something?! Damn Beasts.. Can't keep their claws to themselves!' Kenzeth raged in his mind. He didn't dare utter a word because he knew that would only help him because the lunch of the Demonic b*stard near him.
The beast had probably sensed the fluctuation in due to the Gate and came to check it out.
"Grrrrr..." A red eye peaked from the gap in the wall right infront of the spot Kenzeth was hiding.
Kenzeth didn't panic again after calming his initial fear he was fully confident in his spell
While the 'invisibility' spell was a low-level spell Kenzeth had trained it to it's peak in his previous life and the spell had never once failed him. Weather it was assassinating a pathetic corrupt official or hunting a powerful Demonic Beast.
The eye filled with malicious intent looked right at the spot were Kenzeth was sitting but didn't see any prey.
Upset, the beast released an agitated growl and withdrew it's gaze.
Kenzeth only relaxed when he felt the beast retreating. Suddenly he had a flash of inspiration and his eyes glowed with cold intent.
He stealthily crawled out of his hiding spot and added more mana to his spell to strengthen it. He quietly climbed up a slanted pillar and finally got a good look at the beast and his eyes widened in surprise.
The Demonic Beast who had half scared him to death was a beast with wolf like features. Even though it walked on its fours it was still five feet tall. Blood red fur, sharp claws and razor sharp teeth.
The reason this beast surprised Kenzeth was that it was very similar to a beast from Kenzeth's native world.
"Crimson Lupus..." Kenzeth stared blankly for a while before his face split into a savage grin. "If the Demonic Beast here are similar to the one from my world then... Surviving here is going to be more easy than I thought!"
Kenzeth eyes glowed with killing intent. He knew exactly how to deal with this beast. He grabbed a small stone and with great accuracy he threw it on the wall besides the beast.
The wolf jolted and growled at the noise. Kenzeth smirked as he successfully managed to distract the wolf. He crouched low and began running towards the distracted beast.
Approaching the beast he used the another fallen pillar as a spring board and jumped on the beast.
The beast only registered Kenzeth when he landed on it's back but before it could do anything Kenzeth pointed his hands towards it's sensitive ears.
"You almost scared me to death, ya know? Such a wonderful welcoming death. Now I feel inclined to give you something in retur. Please accept my gift.. bastard!" Kenzeth said coldly.
"Rage Of Echo!"
As Kenzeth finished casting the spell, the mana fluctuated and grinded in the air, generating compressed high-frequency sound.
Before the Beast could do anything to protect itself, it's sensitive ears could bear the assault of the sound. Blood rushed out of the beasts ear as it's eardrums exploded.
As strong as the beast was physically, the stress on it's brain was too much for it too handle and it died quickly but painfully.
Kenzeth jumped of the now, dead Demonic Beast and admired his handiwork.
The spell that he used just now was one of the many spells he himself had designed in his previous life.
Even though the spell consumed little amount of mana the damage it dished out was terrifying and only the intended target would receive damage and it wouldn't affect anybody else the caster didn't not wish to.
The only drawback was that one needed to be close to the target and this could be very disadvantageous to an inexperienced caster who doesn't know how to deal with problem according to the situation.
The 'invisibility' spell played a major part too. Not only does it cloaks a persons presence, but also the smell and with enough mana it can even cloak the sound made my the caster.
It was the perfect assassination spell and it went hand-in-hand with the 'Rage Of Echo' which takes little to no amount of time to cast the spell.
Kenzeth admired the meaty body of the beast and couldn't stop himself from salivating.
"That settles todays food... I'm feeling quite famished, the bastards didn't give me any food. I'll help my stomach first then. Making the meridians and wait till tonight." Kenzeth nodded to himself and with a small utility spell began to cut the beasts meat.

By the time Kenzeth finished cleaning everything up the sun had already set.
Kenzeth complete cleared the area with small spells. When exploring the ruins he found a two storey building which was still largely intact and would be perfect place for him to stay for a while.
He filled the gaps in the roof and walls using logs of tree and vines. Using low-level water and fire element spell he made numerous earthen vessels to store the meat of the vessel and an ice spell to preserve the meat.
"I was wrong... This meat should last for a two to three days if I ate like a glutton haha!" Kenzeth laughed to himself as he roasted the meat in fire. "Even though I'm miserably weak I should be live without a worry even amongst these Beast infested land. But I have to prepare for the time I return to the Land of Nine Divine Continents. I can't afford to rest easy."
"I will setup the 'Hundred Celestial Body Array' and awaken my Soul Space in this body. Once I have awakened the Soul Space it will be easy to create meridians from scratch." Kenzeth took a bite from the meat and hummed pleasantly. "Hmmm... Plus with the 'Twelve Cloud Camouflage Formation' I have set around the ruins, I don't have to worry about any Demonic Beasts approaching me."
'Hundred Celestial Body Array' is a rune formation that if setup perfectly would draw mana from the Stars themselves giving the one using the array a limitless supply of mana.
With Kenzeth's dormant Soul Space and pitiful Mana Reserves he amount of mana he produce was laughable. To create meridians he would need a huge amount of mana.
So he decided it was better to borrow Mana from stars than risk dying from Mana Exhaustion.
'Twelve Cloud Camouflage Formation' as the name suggested was a Rune Formation that would hide a location from hostile entities.
Soul Space, in Kenzeth's native world, was something that even amongst the most gifted wizards was a very rare occurrence. As far as Kenzeth knows he is the only Wizard who as a Soul Space and he has meet a lot of people both good and bad.
Soul Space was a mystery in itself. It is a mysterious dimension that appears in the 'Core' of a wizard. The ancient script Kenzeth had read in his previous life said that the Soul Space is the manifestation of the combination of a Wizard's Mind and Soul and while it complies to the wishes of the Wizard it also has a will of it's own.
Core of a Wizard is similar to a Dantian of a Qi Cultivator. Its essentially a space where Mana is generated and stored in a Wizards body. The only difference is that a Dantian is located in the center of lower abdomen while a Core is located in the center of the chest.
There isn't much difference between Magic Cultivation and Qi Cultivation but they both are still different.
Qi Cultivation is the practice of the circulation of Qi in body via Meridians for improved heath, increasing longevity and growing powerful all together under the Laws of the Universe.
While Magic Cultivation is the practice of circulation of Mana in body via Gates for the same result except it's done by moulding the Laws of the Universe for one's own gains.
"Magic Cultivation allows one to mould the Law of the Universe to create a cheap imitation of a Miracle."
Miracle is the supreme form of magic that according to most beliefs only the True God or as Kenzeth says, on the Creator is capable of welding.
"Creator is bound by no law and nothing can hold him. The Law Of Universe that governs the Sea Of Cosmos was created by him. We wizards only have a small fraction of his power." Kenzeth smiled softly.
He knew who exactly was at the top of the food chain and it did not bother him even a bit.
He didn't have any grand delusions of becoming a God and he had two main reasons for it.
"One, it's impossible since the Law Of Universe is unbreakable and no mortal is capable of becoming a True God. Two, even if it was possible I'm damn sure it would be too much of a hustle to do so!" Kenzeth then scoffed. "I'm no delusional fool with a god complex."
Yes. He wasn't a fool unlike many other.
After feeding his needy stomach Kenzeth setup the 'Hundred Celestial Body Array' and took a seat in the middle of the formation.
"Alright.. Let's do this!" Kenzeth closed his eyes and began chanting. The runes carved on the ground lit up one by one and slowly the whole formation came to life.
Millions of small golden particles could be seen descending down from the sky and being absorbed by the Array.
Kenzeth closed his eye and began to concentrate. One by one, twelve Magic Gates flared up in his body, six major and six minor gates began circulating the purest Mana in the universe through the pathway. Strengthening the body and themselves.
Three hours later the Gates which had absorbed large about of Celestial Mana had finally evolved and Kenzeth could now proceed with the next step.
Commanding the twelve gates at the same time Kenzeth aligned the pathways towards the Core and with a single command the Mana he was absorbing from the stars rushed into the Core.
The Mana was so bright and pure that his Mana pathways could be seen glowing from a bystanders point of view.
The Core under the assault of Celestial Mana kept evolving and expanding and after two hours Kenzeth felt his Core tremble
'Finally! My Soul Space has been awakened!'
Kenzeth felt his conscience detach itself from his body and he found it rushing into his Core, where his Soul Space was.
When Kenzeth opened his eyes he found himself standing in a very familiar space.
The dark, night sky was covered and lit with countless formation of beautiful stars. Blue, red pink, purple.. Stars of different colour and sizes.
The surface on which Kenzeth was standing was made up of clear, untainted water which reflected the beautiful sky and rippled even with the slightest movement.
Even though the surface on which he stood was water, Kenzeth didn't fall through. It felt just like land and if possible, somehow felt better than standing on land.
This beautiful landscape that looked like a beautiful masterpiece of some ancient artist, was Kenzeth's personal dimension located in his Core.
This was his Soul Scape.
Now that he had successfully awakened his Soul Scape he could finally complete his last objective.
Kenzeth raised his hand a holographic, almost spectral diagram of his body rose up from beneath the rippling water.
In Kenzeth's previous there were all sorts of people and profession. There were even Qi Cultivators in his previous world but they were very few and secretive bunch compared to the Cultivators of Onora.
Beast King was one of the few Qi Cultivators and he was without a doubt the oldesr and the strongest amongst them.
Kenzeth had absorbed the knowledge from the Beast King who's knowledge on Cultivation was unmatched and similarly unmatched was Kenzeth's comprehension ability.
"How convenient..."
Kenzeth raised his one finger and poked the at the center of the hologram of his body. Raising his other hand a golden book emitting a colossal aura wrapped in chains rose from the rippling water.
This was the Law Of Universe that Kenzeth had spent majority of his previous lifetime trying to comprehend.
The chains disappear allowing the book to open on its on. The every single black text on golden pages carried an unspeakable amount of power. The pages turned endlessly and golden wisps of energy emerged from the book and it was swiftly guided to the spot Kenzeth wanted.
"Lets start with the Dantian. Old one be gone, new one be born." Kenzeth's old Dantian was crumbled without any resistance and a new one was born with the help of Celestial Mana and Essence of Universe under Kenzeth's guidance. "Formation of Heavenly Dantian Complete."
"Now the meridians." Kenzeth said. Using Beast King's knowledge he began tracing the hologram and the meridians formed looking like golden branches of a magnificent tree originating from Dantian.
"Formation of Twelve Celestial Meridians Complete."
Again he began tracing the hologram and new thin yet magnificent vines like meridians began to form.
"Formation of Eight Extraordinary of Heavenly Rivers complete."
Kenzeth with a soft smile transferred the last bit of Celestial Mana and hundreds of tiny flowers stared blooming on the form of the Hologram. It looked as if flowers had started to bloom of a golden tree.
These several hundred tiny flowers were the closed Acupoints that he has just opened using the Celestial Mana.
"Formation of Perfect Celestial Body complete."
Kenzeth waved his hand the book disappeared back into the rippling water. He closed his eyes as the hologram merged with him.
Kenzeth opened his eyes as he felt his conscience return to his body. His eyes looked more clear and gleamed with power. His face morphed into a confident smirk as he looked at the rising sun.
"Each night is a trial. A test in the face of death. But even in the hands of death, I rejoice and I dance because everything that fails to kill me, only helps me reborn."
Kenzeth clenched his fist. The determination in his eyes burned with fervour that matched the sun.
"Every tribulation I face is a catalyst for my inevitable awakening. Beware by enemies, for I have reborn."
