Chapter 22 - 22. Old new and ready to go

John was sitting in front of his house and drinking warm water, when suddenly a shiny door appeared. With a big smile, he rushed towards the door and saw two young women appearing.

"Anne?" He blinked at Anne then at the other young woman that was strangely familiar. He got closer and blinked at her with wonder. "Jenny?''

Jenny chuckled. " What? I told you that at the first blue Moon those plants will flower special flowers. Come, old man. Let's prepare something good for you."

They left the pouting Fabius Maximus at home, after he realized that the plant really worked amazingly well. Unfortunately, only five flowers bloomed. Jenny used one and Anne drank one to try it out.

He didn't mind that, but when they said they want to give another to John, he got furious and went rampant. As he didn't want to lash at them, he went hunting vampires, so he could make the world a bit safer.

John saw them smiling and sighed. "I'm a bit different than a normal human, do you think that will work on me?"

"Try." They were actually not sure. After all, it's another world and many things work differently. Why does this flower exists in this world but doesn't produce those special flowers?

They saw him seeping the tea and waiting for a while. Then he started drinking it and as he finished, he saw Jenny pointing at the cooked flower rests in his cup.

"Eat the rest. Nothing happened until I finished eating it." No change happened after drinking the tea water. But after she ate the rests out of curiosity the change started.

After eating the leaves, nothing happened in the beginning, but then many things started changing.

His bones aligned and his body became fuller. Looking at his old wrinkly hands he could literally see them change. The dark spots and wrinkles disappeared leaving smooth skin and long fingers wiggling in front of his astonished eyes.

But what he didn't see was that his face became smooth and glowing. His two warm eyes became even warmer and finally, his hair got its natural colour. The soft dark green colour was seen and the two women were stunned, speechless as they stared at him.

A literally beautiful man with slender figure stood in front of them and smiled at them brightly. "Wow!"

Anne disappeared for a moment and came out with a huge mirror. Under his curious eyes, she put it in front of him. "What...what is this?"

The two women looked at him then at each other. "It's a mirror and it's your reflection. I mean that is how you look like."

He just nodded but curiously poked the mirror. "We have reflection plates. But they are made of metal. This is much more amazing."

Anne thought about it. Many things are different in this world than in hers. It is indeed possible that they never saw a mirror.

"Did you ever heard of glass?" She looked at the house he had and furrowed her eyebrows. She didn't see any glass so far.

"Glass?" His perplexed question made her assumption true.

Anne smiled at Jenny. "I think we found something this world doesn't have but we do. And we can sell it."

A humongous city filled with glass and raw materials, that they could use to trade for the things they couldn't find in their world. Anne smiled at her mother.

"Mom, I know that you have some things that you are unwilling to tell me. I don't know what you fear that much, that you won't even tell me. But whatever it is, I hope you can help me with things I don't know." Anne already knew her mother's thoughts but didn't want to pressure her.

Jenny's eyes became sad. "I have many things that I will tell you. But not yet. It's not time."

John listened to their words and nodded. He could already feel the difference between these two women and normal humans. He looked at Jenny and sighed.

As a mother, she probably just wanted to give the best she could to her child. There must be something big as she didn't let this child know. He felt sad looking at Jenny's complicated expression.

Unfortunately, he had no right to speak. He sighed and saw Anne just going to Jenny and hugging her.

"It is OK. I know that you wouldn't withhold anything from me unless it's not a big problem. Mom, it's fine." Anne could see Jenny's moist eyes and kissed her cheek. "Love you."

Jenny hugged her wordlessly and then whispered. "Love you as well. So much."

The two looked at each other and smiled.

As they turned around they started laughing as they saw John making funny faces at himself. "This is so amazing. I can see everything with this. Amazing indeed."

Anne smiled. "I'll bring you one that you can hold in your hand. But there is a problem with these mirrors. They are extremely fragile. There is a saying in our world. Fragile like glass. So these things must be treated carefully."

He nodded. "If they are fragile and rare, you might as well get a lot of money for it."

Anne shook her head. "We do have a lot. John, there is something I would like to ask you. Is there a chance that you could come with us on our travels."

Her big eyes looked at him filled with hope and he chuckled. "What about my plants?"

Anne smiled brightly. "With gold, you can move mountains. We can pay someone to take good care of your plants. What do you think?"

John froze. Of course, he wanted to do that. He actually wanted to travel but he was aware that his old body wouldn't be able to handle an arduous way, so he gave up that idea. ''I have enough money and I know who can protect my garden very well when I am gone. Now that I have my young body again, I can travel again. Yes. let's do that.''

So the next plan was made and John started planning. Ropes, clothes, food, money...
