"Whoa!" The children exclaimed as they saw the beautiful garden. Even Sakib was astonished and amazed.
"Welcome. Jenny told me about you all. I will take you and your children to the nearby town. I hope you understood our world or should I explain?" He looked at Jenny.
She shook her head. "We had no time to explain him anything. There is that problem we must take care off on our own. Is there some coins left since the last time?"
Anne brought the whole bunch of gold that he exchanged for gold coins.
John nodded. '' I'll bring it right away.'' He rushed towards the small cottage and came right back with a simple-looking wooden box. ''Here it is.''
Anne opened the box and took out two leather pouches. She turned around and smiled at Sakib. ''Uncle Sakib, I will give you two such pouches. One will contain few gold coins, hide those well. And this bigger one holds bronze coins, that are used in this world. We will go after this, as we have so much work to do in the other world. When the other world is free of the threat, you can go back to your home, if you wish. If not, this world is open and not many people live here, so find a way to live well.''
From her side, this was more than enough to help him. And he nodded.
''I think it's better for me and the kids to just stay away from that world. We have bad memories there and wish to make new, happy ones here. Anne, thank you so much. I have no ability to do anything for you, but in the future, if we ever meet again, you are always welcome. You know that?'' He came closer and patted her head with a warm smile.
Anne actually hated people touching her, but she just let it go. In her mind, she imagined biting that hand off, but at the same time, she knew that he was a good man. ''Live well, uncle.''
He just smiled and saw the three people slowly fading out. As he turned towards John, he saw a warm smile on his face, as he spoke about plants with the children and walked towards him. ''Help us understand this world so we can survive.''
In the big room, Anne hugged Jenny tightly. She could see tears flowing down her cheeks and sighed. ''Mom, uncle Sakib is not a dumb person. He grew such a large company by himself. Trust me, he will find a way to live very well. And in the future, we must travel that world anyway, so we will probably see them again.''
Jenny smiled at her as a final tear slid down her cheek. ''I know. I just felt a bit sorry as I couldn't do anything for them.''
''Mom, the amount of gold is considered as worthy as his whole house here. If you want I can bring him back so he can take some clothes and jewellery for him and his kids. It's worth a lot in the other world.'' Anne had no other way. And she didn't want to help him more than that. He was a grown-up man and able to take care of his family just fine.
Jenny nodded and Anne disappeared for a while and then came back with Sakib. ''Anne, thank you. I just thought about all the stuff we might need there and you came for me. Thank you so much.''
Anne just calmly sighed. ''I can only help you with transportation. Packing, you have to do yourself, as I have no idea what you want.''
Sakib just shook his head. ''Don't worry. I'll be fast.''
Twenty minutes later he came back with two big backpacks and two small ones. ''Clothes for the kids and camping gear. I took precious items, as you said, a few pictures of their mother and some food. You can keep the rest of the food. I can't carry it with me and it would look strange if we have some strange items in the other world, that don't belong there.''
Anne nodded. ''Good. Let's go.'' She had no more patience. She could see Fabius's face getting worried and sighed in relief when she could finally transport this man out of this house.
She literally just transported him and came back to find a hell loose.
A bunch of pale-faced creatures climbed up the ceiling and walls, like some kind of strange spiders and flashed their teeth at Fabius Maximus. ''You can't die, but we can hurt you and the people around you.''
Anne saw one woman jumping at her mother and was about to scream when she saw her mom just holding that creature by the neck calmly. ''You must be crazy to think that I survived this long only because I can't protect myself.''
Anne shrugged. Since childhood, the two of them trained so many things so she didn't wonder. She saw Jenny taking a knife and just cutting the woman's head off in a swift movement and throwing it at the nearby spot of light. The head suddenly burst into flames and burned within moments.
Fabius Maximus stopped wondering a long time ago. These two have so many secrets and layers and he seemingly saw only the top layer of them.
But it was not the same for the vampires that were about to attack Jenny again. They hesitated, as they saw her calmly just waiting for them. No sign of nervousness could be seen on her face. One of them suddenly felt an impending threat and was about to turn around, then there was nothingness.
Anne cut his head off and smiled at Fabius Maximus. ''We should not let any of them alive. They dared to attack my mother, I think they deserve to be punished.''
Fabius Maximus just cut off two hands on one of the monsters and kicked him into a corner. ''This one is to be left alive. He must go and bring back the message from us.'' He lowered his head and watched the man looking at him in fear. ''Tell those people that they made a big mistake. They put their fingers into the wasps' nest. And now its time to die.''
