Chapter 3 - 03. Negotiations

"You want to work from home now? What happened? Is everything OK with you and your daughter?" Jenny's manager was a man in his fifties but still looked good, for his age. At least so Jenny thought.

"Sigh. She had nightmares lately about a Zombie Apocalypse so I want to be nearby if she wakes up during the daytime." Her words made Shin Young giddy. That child had the power of prediction but not many knew about it. If Jenny is telling him about it...

"And I need a big loan. I work anyway for you, can't you give me better conditions?" Jenny continued. She worked in the credit union and already paid the last loan that she took when she bought the apartment.

Shin Young sighed. "Sure. Send me the amount you want and I'll approve it right away. Anything else?" Even if there was no Apocalypse he would give this woman a loan.

The last contract they made was huge and it will bring a huge amount of money into their pockets. And Jenny is the one that did it.

"Cool. I'll send you all the data right away."

Looking at her smug smile Anne just rolled her eyes. "Mother... what are you planning?"

She just shrugged. "Buying some more space. I was eyeing the apparent next to us already for a while."

Their home was on top of the building but it was not the whole top. The other half belonged to a family of four that just bought a house in the suburbs. Jenny wanted the whole place to be hers so she didn't wait for even a second to do it.

"Oh Jenny, good morning. Come in." Maria and Sakib lived right next to them. But as they owned their own company they were actually stuck up people. Strangely, they liked Jenny.

"I came with a proposal and I hope you won't mind." Jenny had a big smile while she picked up the twins that rushed into her arms.

"Let her go and go to your rooms. Ok?" Maria did like Jenny but she disliked how her children were dead set on her and always loved cuddling with her.

Jenny rolled her eyes without Maria noticing it and went to the living room where Sakib kneeled in his long clothing and prayed.

Even tho Maria was Catholic and Sakib was Muslim they never had trouble with the opposite belief. They were already fifteen years married and never had an argument. They had such a perfect life that everyone was jealous of them.

The two women waited silently until he was done and as he took off his white hat he calmly bowed slightly his head towards Jenny. "Good morning." That was it for greeting from his side and Jenny didn't mind. It's his personality.

"Good morning." Jenny already knew that he should be not disturbed when praying, so she always waited with unusual calmness. Maybe that is one of the reasons they accepted her. She never made trouble and always accepted people just as they are.

"You probably came because of the apartment." He was already clear about her intentions even before she could say a word. He almost chuckled as he saw her expression. This woman had all her emotions straight on her face, so how is it that she works so well in a place where lies are the most important thing? Or is she such a good liar? But looking at her clear eyes he knew it was impossible. They probably found her funny and interesting, just like he and his family find her.

With surprise her eyes became big. "How did you know?"

"I would have done the same. After we are gone, who knows who will live next to you. You and Anne are calm and quiet people, I'm sure you would hate someone who is messy and loud." He was already aware of their personalities.

Jenny had to admit that they could live happily next to each other as neither one of them were loud, even tho they had children.

"Yes. I fear I'll turn into a horrible nagger if someone who is loud buys this place. Please tell me your price." Of course, she hoped they won't ask too much and she was right. They gave her the number of the original price when they bought this place. Actually, since then the prices shot up and they could have asked for the current one, but didn't.

"We will move to our villa in two days. Today we are taking just a few things with us, as most items are already there. We bought everything new, so you can keep all you need." They were now rich enough and had no plan to take all the appliances from the rooms.

Jenny shook her head. "You can take it all. I'll make a new plan for this place anyway. I'll connect both places and there is so much more to do. You can gift these things or sell them. But I'd recommend to just put them into your guesthouse. Why wasting good things?"

They had an outhouse near their villa, that they planned to turn into a guest house or servants housing.

Maria clapped her hands. "Good idea. I will get one family to serve us in a few days and these things are of good quality."

The stuff in their current apartment was of very high quality actually, but Jenny really disliked those colours. Everyone has their own style. While Jenny loved calm and pastel colours, Maria loved strong colours throughout the house.

So if they take the stuff with them she could use some of the space...

They got serious as she looked at the children that were playing in their room and furrowed her eyebrows. She liked them and needed to warn them, even if they don't believe her.

She turned her head and seriously stared at the two people that were surprised by her sudden change.

"I need to tell you something..."
