Jenny opened her eyes and sniffled. "Meat..."
After a light nap between flowers and plants, she felt quite refreshed. To her, plants had such an impact, so she slept between them whenever she could outside.
Her stomach grumbled again and she chuckled as she saw Anne just glancing at her with a wink.
"Mom, your belly is so loud, it would put even zombies to shame. Look, listen to it!"
A long growl resounded around Jenny making both of them chuckle. Anne saw her mom jumping up and smiling brightly as she patted her belly. "Belly monster."
With a laugh, she went to the kitchen and saw huge amounts of food prepared. Her eyes popped open and she looked at Anne.
"Whoa, what's the occasion?"
Anne just hugged her mother and listened to her heartbeat hitting evenly. Human... how disappointing...
A finger poked her head and laughing could be heard. "Your wish is so strong that it makes me want to go and find those creatures of the night and become one. I'm anyway meat-eater, it's fine even if I become a vampire."
Anne rose her eyes and saw her mothers and knew she spoke the truth. "But you would have to kill to live."
Jenny just patted her head and sighed. "There are so many bad people and will always be. And in the vampire world, I might become vegan among vampires."
Thinking about smoothy drinking vampire made Anne start laughing. "Vegan vampire smoothies. The newest hit on vampire market!"
Jenny was about to eat a piece of meat when she heard Anne's words. "Oh Lord, have mercy. New business. Patented smoothies only for vampires and demons. Ugh... if we find them, why not? But let's first find them and then let's find out what they need in the blood, produce it somehow else and turn vampires into vegans."
Anne was stunned first but then started laughing heartily. They ate quite a bit and stared through the windows at the whole river of growling creatures.
"But, how do they feel danger coming from me?" Anna was talking more to herself than to her mom. "And strangely after I destroy them, I feel like I could fight with all of them restlessly."
"Aham, restlessly... It's more that you get addicted to the feeling that those killings give you. No... wait... do you get the feeling of being full after you destroy them?" Jenny curiously looked at her hands.
Anne pulled her hands back. "I fear if I touch you, something might happen..."
"Isn't it a bit too late?" Jenny stared at her daughter with laughter. "If you had such power to kill living beings, I would have perished a long time ago. I think your powers might work only on dead creatures. Yes. Even if you were a vampire, you would have been vegan as it seems."
Jenny started laughing and held her hands with a big smile, while Anne stopped worrying. True, if she could destroy living ones she would be the first one to perish.
The days became strange for some people.
From time to time they saw strange thing happening. When the two women would appear on the street, the zombies would try to scatter as fast they could. But then strange things played in front of them.
They would start killing them and literally they would disappear as soon they were done. Not only that, but they also hated people joining them.
Few times groups of people would join the fight and put them in danger while shooting wildly at the group, including them as well.
Since then they would just appear randomly and if people appear they just give up fighting zombies and disappear, leaving people fight the zombies completely alone.
"Look, they are gone again. Are they planning to kill us?" They complained as they tried to run away from growling crowd of people while others shook their heads.
Most of them would kill zombies from the safety of their homes. They all realized that zombies couldn't climb walls or do any big damage. As long you are not stupid to fight them head-on, it is possible to kill many.
So most of them stopped being heroic and just killed zombies when the two women were not around.
But stupid people were everywhere.
One day the two of them were in the middle of a fight as they gathered a large amount of zombies in one corner when suddenly a bunch of men jumped from side building and literally started shooting their way.
Anne jumped away in astonishment as few zombies were hit right there where she was a few moments ago while her mother stopped killing as well and stared at them with cold eyes.
"Baby, it seems some people are not grateful. Should we give them a present?" Jenny pointed at the other side of the zombie crowd and Anne understood.
Like, two ninjas, they jumped from another side, climbed on the wall and just sat down and watched zombies getting enraged and rushing straight towards those idiots.
"Mom, they had in the house again, how mean. Our poor zombie babies should eat something. Last meal was given even to the death row, don't you think?" Anne blinked innocently at Jenny that almost fell off the wall. This child...
"Fine. What do you plan?" Jenny could see a dangerous glint passing her eyes.
"Well, open the doors. Isn't it obvious." Anne saw her mother chuckling, jumping between zombies like some kind of gummy toy and just kicking the door open.
Right after she climbed the nearest wall and just swung her legs as a mischievous child while winking at Anne. Suddenly a shot resounded and Jenny jumped just in time not to get shot. She rushed away while the whole rain of bullets flew towards her.
In the last moment, she jumped through a nearby window and hid inside the apartment across the street. While the fools were busy shooting at Jenny, they didn't realize that their doors were open and the whole river of growling creatures headed towards them, while Anne just stared in worry at the place where her mom hid.
