Chapter 17 - Getting married (3)

For the first time since he started working in Gallotel two years ago, Jason took Monday off. This was the day he'd register his marriage after all. He'd like this day to be at least a little special at least. Jason called over masseurs and skincare practitioners as well as designers and make up artist s. Anything to make Karen happier and the event more important.

He wouldn't admit though that he was feeling a bit guilty for taking advantage of her. She might not have agreed to be married just in name. By one o'clock, Karen was practically glowing in another stylish white dress, with long sleeves and a matching white jacket and a lovely silver tie around her neck. She had on silver shoes and platinum jewelry with her wedding ring on her finger. Her hair was let down to flow free stylishly. Jason wasn't dressed shabbily either and looked good in his blue black three piece suit. When Jason walked over and stood beside Karen, Nanny Jo smiled in approval despite herself. They then left together for the civil affairs bureau.

They were led into the bureau through the back door and everything was completed quickly and their pictures were taken, with assistant Kwan submitting the forms meant to be filled by Karen which he had already prepared with her signature and everything on it. The people at the civil affairs bureau couldn't dare be nosy about the way in which the couple were married without any consent from the wife.

Thirty minutes later, Karen emerged hanging on Jason Wu's arm as his legally wedded wife but didn't show on her face if any changes had just taken place in her life at all. Jason now had a wedding band on his finger, which he had helped Karen place there.

----

When Jason got back home, he found his grandfather seated on a couch in his front room having tea.

"Hello Old Master Wu, here to congratulate me on my marriage?" Jason asked with a small grin on his face.

"I'm here, to at least take a look at the wife you married, but you need to congratulated so badly then fin.. Congratulations Jason" Old master Wu took a glance at Karen. 'She was indeed very pretty and her family wasn't so bad. It just such a pity that she was sick. Old master Wu couldn't blame the girl. If there was anyone to blame then it was his rascal of a grandson who would make such plans.

Looking at the girl now it seemed she was just normal with a small smile on her face and bright eyes. "Hello little lady" Old master Wu said moving towards Karen. "How are you doing today?"

"Fine.." she whispered shyly almost hiding behind Jason.

Jason was proud that he had though her well. She could at least respond to basic questions now and she wouldn't ignore you when you spoke to her.

"Good good." Old master answered. He turned to Jason. "Master Zhou came to visit. He said he hadn't seen you in too long. Make sure to visit him" as he said this, the old master had already started leaving the house.

Jason was deep in thought due to what the old master said while leaving. He decided he'd visit Master Zhou within the week.

"Assistant Kwan" Jason called. " Take a picture of my left hand"

Assistant Kwan complied and took a picture of Jason's left hand with a good view of his wedding band on his ring finger.

" Make sure everyone in the company knows I'm married by tomorrow morning" Jason commanded.

"Erh..erh..yes Master Wu" assistant Kwan complied sighing inwardly. Who'd understand the pains of working morning till night to satisfy this man.

-----

The next morning, when Jason went to work everyone greeted 'Congratulations Master Wu'. But it wasn't just the people at the company who knew, the whole city and even overseas branches were bubbling with the news that Master Jason Wu was now a married. There was the sound big maiden and even some male hearts breaking all over the country. None however knew who the lucky woman was but ofcourse the Lous did. Sheryl almost exploded from jealousy. She did not want this to end so well for that stupid nutcase. She needed a plan...
