Chapter 54 - Chapter 54 Couple Battles

As all four teams waited in the middle of the arena that was filled with trees and hills Thomas glanced at the other teams as he mumbled "We've got our work cut out for us." Thomas stared at Ocis as he asked "Got a plan?" Ocis didn't answer him because she was still dazed from what he had said as Thomas tapped her on the forehead and asked "Are you alright?" Ocis held her wings to her forehead as she blushed and said "I-I'm fine." As they stared at each other the loud female voice boomed out and said "All teams report to your designated areas!" Ocis grabbed Thomas's arm and started to drag him as she said "We need to hurry!" As they reached the designated destination Thomas and Ocis stopped as she said "Now we just have to wait until the speaker lady says we can start!" Moments later the loud female voice said "You may begin and may the best couple be victorious!" As soon as it started Ocis took to the air and started to fly off as Thomas mumbled "How did I know this was gonna happen?" As Thomas watched her fly out of sight he began to walk further into the forest like arena as he mumbled "I wonder if things will turn okay if I take nap under a tree." As Thomas walked around he began to follow Ocis's scent as he called out "Hey Ocis where did you go?" After following her scent for a few minutes and calling out her name a man and a harpy appeared before Thomas as they shouted "That prize will be ours." Thomas glanced at them as he continued to walk past them as he said "Go away I'm looking for someone right now." The two of them blocked Thomas's path as they said "If you wanna find your harpy friend then you gotta get past us." Thomas bent down and picked up a rock as he began to toss it up and down as he asked "And what if I don't want too?" The harpy raised a bow as she said "Then you shall suffer before you lose." Thomas stopped throwing the rock as he gripped it and said "I don't have time for this." The harpy shot the arrow as she yelled "Neither do we!" Thomas caught the arrow as it was heading towards his chest as he said "Then why don't we both go our separate ways." The man jumped at Thomas with a sword as Thomas hopped away the harpy took to the sky as Thomas threw the rock and hit her in the forehead as he shouted "Not gonna happen." As the harpy held onto its head it said "Why would you hit me with a rock!" As it fell to the ground Thomas mumbled "I knew a harpy would forget it was flying if it got distracted." Thomas began to walk towards the man as he asked "Aren't you gonna go check on her?" The man gritted his teeth as he jumped at Thomas swinging the sword as he shouted "How dare you hurt her!" Thomas teleported to the harpy That has fallen as he mumbled "People are always quick to attack." Thomas checked the harpies neck for a pulse as he mumbled "Good she's just unconscious." Thomas stood up as he stepped to the side the man's sword grazed his side as the man shouted "You got lucky this time!" Thomas quickly jumped forward and turned to face the man as he held his side and said "Your harpy friend is alive." The man kneeled down to the harpy as Thomas began to walk off as he said "Now if you'll excuse me." Moments after Thomas left the man and the harpy their the loud Lady voice said "The first team has withdrawn!" As Thomas followed the scent he eventually found Ocis fighting another harpy as he sat down and said "I'll jump in if things go bad." As Thomas sat their watching them fight another man snuck up on Thomas. As the man grabbed Thomas by the ears and put a dagger to his throat as he said "Call off the harpy." Thomas sat their unable to move as he thought to himself "I was too careless." The man put the dagger on Thomas's throat as he said "Call the harpy down here and tell her to surrender." Thomas glanced at them as he said "Your holding my ears I can't hear you." The man let go of Thomas's ears as he said "I said to call off the harpy!" Thomas smiled as he said "You shouldn't have let go of me." Thomas vanished before the man's eyes as Thomas reappear behind him and said "You know if you would've held onto me that might've worked." The man turned around as he seen Thomas walking towards him as he said "You must've been the reason the other team had to withdraw." Thomas began to walk towards him as he said "I'd prefer to fight the harpies at least they don't try to fight with dirty tricks." The man began to back up as Ocis landed behind him as she said "I defeated the other harpy!" Thomas stared at her as he said "Nice work." Ocis grabbed the man as she flew high into the sky as she said "Forfeit or I'll drop you!" Thomas looked up into the sky as he mumbled "Falling from that height gotta hurt." As Ocis dropped the man Thomas stared as he fell as he mumbled "Might as well save him." Thomas jumped into a tree and off a branch as he caught the man and set him down. Thomas smacked the man in the face as he said "Wake up." Thomas sighed as he said "You know what someone else can tell him he lost." Thomas stood up as Ocis landed behind him as she said "Theirs only one team left!" Thomas turned to her as he said "Yeah theirs only one team left." Moments after they walked away the loud lady's voice said "Two teams remain if you can the remaining contestants should report to the center!" As they walked to the center of the arena Ocis cheerfully said "I'm gonna win my first couple battle!" Thomas yawned as he said "I don't really care about winning this I just wanna go to sleep." Ocis grabbed Thomas and held onto him as she said "I'll happily sleep with you." They continued to move to the center of the arena as Thomas mumbled "She better be talking literally and not sexually." As they arrived at the center of the arena the man and other harpy were already waiting their as Thomas asked "Why didn't we see you two during the fights?" The man laughed as he said "We both decided that a strategic withdraw to safe our strength for the final fight would be the best choice." Thomas stared at them as he mumbled "Strategic withdraw isn't an option if your teammate runs off." The announcer lady's voice boomed out as she said "And now for the final fight of the night you may all begin." Thomas looked up as he mumbled "It's night, how long have we been in here." As Thomas looked back at the man and other harpy the harpy began to fly towards Thomas as he raised his hand and hit her into the ground as he said "Your wasting my time!" As the harpy began to get up Thomas smiled as he said "Good you can take a punch." The harpy began to kick at Thomas as she said "The human who beat me is even stronger then you!" Thomas raised his hand as he said "If that's true then I don't have to worry about killing you." As Thomas walked over to the harpy he put his hand on her arm as said "I'm sorry." The harpy stared at his hand as she asked "For what?" Thomas shouted "Water bolt!" As the water pierced through her arm she screamed out in pain as the Ocis watched she mumbled "Is he going to kill her?" The man began to run towards Thomas as he yelled "Don't hurt her!" Ocis quickly flew towards the man as she scratched through his leather armor and skin as she flew high up into the air with her spear and back down towards the man as she "Impaled his leg and stuck it through him and into the ground as she stared at Thomas who continued to blast through her arm in the same spot as Thomas said "You should know when to call it quits." After blasting through the harpy's arm for a while she grabbed a rock and bashed it into Thomas's head. Thomas stumbled back as he mumbled "Your right you are strong." As blood rushes down Thomas face he smiled as he said "Let's make this a fight to remember!" Ocis backed up as she said "I'll leave fighting the harpy to you!" Thomas began to run at the harpy as he shouted "Fine by me!"
