Chapter 42 - Chapter 42

I watched him closely as he stared at me.

"What are you doing here, boy?" The guy smirked. What was so funny?

'Ari, warn me if you hear or see any guards.' Ari gave me a little nod and jumped down and run out. I looked down to see if there were any rocks or something I could use. I found two or three leftover bricks. I went over and touched one of the bricks. I focused on the brick with my eyes closed. I wanted to break the brick a little so I could morph it. It was no use. It wasn't easy to control earth, unlike the other elements, especially morphing it or breaking it. I guess I have to do something else. I put my hands on the cell bars on the door and begin to concentrate.

"What are you doing, boy?"

"I'm going to interrogate you."

"What? You, a kid, interrogate me, an adult. Go play with your building blocks kid." The guy was a pain. I blocked all the sound out and concentrate more on my mana. The state of it, actually. My body started to feel chilly which meant it was working. I channeled my mana towards my hands to the metal. I made it colder and colder, making my hands go a little bit numb. I heard a gasp from the man. I opened my eyes to see how far the ice went. I was stunned to see the entire door of the cell was frozen as I imagined it. I wish the earth would react the same way. I took a breath and channeled the mana to my feet then stomped on the floor. One spike of earth jabbed into the cell, forcing it open. It worked, but I was trying to summon around three spiked not one. I made a mental note of going to the library after this. I need to start training the earth. The only time earth responded correctly was back at the palace.

I walked in, avoiding the big spike while going into the cell. The guy looked shocked. His mouth closed and opened a couple of times before he composed himself and put on a poker face. This guy was good, but he wasn't the only one who excelled at putting up a straight face.

"How many elements can you do, kid?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I thought I was asking all the questions?" I looked right into his eyes hoping to put pressure. He didn't know what I was capable of. "Who is CPH?"

"How do you know that? Wait, unless you...That's not possible." He was starting to mumbling to himself. "You-"

"I'm the one who attacks you while you sent the messenger bird."

"It can't be! How? You are just a kid?" I licked my dry lips. I walked closer to him and put my hand on his knee. I sent a small shockwave right into his knee. I smiled as I watched him scream. I put a finger on my lips, indicating to him to shut up. The smile was still lingering on my lips. "How the hell?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, so are you going to answer my question."

"No." The man reverted back to his poker face.

"Wrong answer." I put a hand against his stomach and sent another shockwave. I stopped as his mouth fizzed up. He was starting to blackout. "Not on my watch."

I summoned water and wrapped the water around his head. Bubbles started forming as his air escaped. Once he can't take it anymore, I broke the spell. He gasped for air as soon as I broke the spell. I gave him time to breathe. He looked at me and glared.

"You are a damn monster, kid." I smiled at the compliment. "No, you're a devil." I remember a nickname something like that in my past life. "I never have seen a kid this young doing something like this."

"That is if I really am a kid." The guy looked confused. I let out a sigh. "I will ask you one more time. Who is CPH?"

"I'm going to say this one last time 'I'm not going to say'." I looked at the floor. I was getting tired of this. Should I just kill him off? He knows how I look so I should get rid of him. "Kid, if you work for us, I will tell you." Where did that come from?

I slowly nodded at his offer. Was he stupid to pass up a deal like this out of the blue who is most likely to kill him? His face brightened up a bit.

"I will tell who it is if you free me." Oh. Who does he think I am? I smiled and nodded. I used the ice on the cell door and converted it back to water. I used it to slice through the shackles.

"Since I freed you, can you tell me?"

"Kid, you are definitely stupid. Didn't you know I could kill you even if I tell you?"

"We had a deal. I did my part and now do yours." The man was quite shocked by my calmness.

"Fine, why not? You are going to die anyway. The CPH in that note is the Crown Prince Hermon."

"How?"

"Do you think I will-" He must have thought I was insane.

"I'm going to die anyway right? So might as well tell me." The man stared straight at me. He looked a little spaced out, so I'm guessing he is thinking.

"At the crown prince's parade next week." The man formed fire on his right hand. So he is planning on killing me by burning.

I manipulated the water and turned it into six large ice crystals where the man's blindspot was his back. Some messenger. He didn't even notice. I pulled the crystals in, stabbing right on his back. The man spurts out blood from his mouth. Some of the blood landed on my face. I wiped it off with my arm.

Ouch! That must have hurt.

The man took big breathes since I aimed at his lungs. I watched as he collapsed onto the floor. I walked closer to him and stood right next to his head. I sat down and leaned over.

"You asked me 'who I am?'. I am Alexander Covington, the son of the Covington couple and 'the reincarnation of Emperor Deacon also known as the Blood King'."
