Fawn and Flora came here every day for four days straight. Fawn started to get less hostile with me, I think. He let me join their group whenever Arthur and he were talking. Fawn was pretty decent and quiet, but let out some jokes now and then. There were times that Fawn asked me to fight with him, but Arthur refused for me. I was still in the process of healing, according to him. I was literally fully healed by mom four days ago, but I didn't go ahead and correct him since I didn't really want to duel with him. Fawn would still go full brother mode whenever Flora comes to me. So childish, right?
It is now another day for me. So much went on ever since I came here. The messenger, the dungeon, knowing the crown prince is being targeted, meeting new people, and gaining a sister. I was just enjoying the view with Ami. To be exact, we were cloud watching.
"Big bwutha, elehint! elehint!" Ami was pointing at a cloud. I tried to make out an elephant, but the only thing I saw was a giraffe.
"Are you sure it isn't a giraffe, Ami?" I looked at Ami. She squinted her eyes from the glare of the sun.
"It is elehint." I just left at that. She probably sees it differently than I do. I got up when a maid called out to me. I knew Fawn and Flora had come today too. I got used to it since this was the fifth day in a row. I helped Ami up and walked with her towards the maid. Arthur was already talking with them by the time I arrived.
Flora noticed me and gave me a tiny wave. I gave her a smile. Ami and Ari ran to Flora. Ari jumped into her arms and started licking her. Ami hugged Flora's torso and burst into giggles. Flora was really popular among the girls.
"Hey, Alex!" I turned to Fawn. "We are planning to spar. Do you want to come?"
"Sure!" It would be nice to train against other kids around my age. We all went to the training ground. It was kind of weird how there was no one there. There was usually some soldiers training. It was Arthur and Fawn that were having a duel. I was just the audience. I sat down next to Flora, but I moved to the other side of the ground when Fawn glared at me. I thought Ari would follow me, but she stayed with Flora. I felt a bit hurt. There was another thing that had been bothering about Ari. She got bigger than what she was four days ago. She looked more like a dragon than the baby version of her. If she was going to get bigger, it was going to get harder to conceal her identity.
Arthur and Fawn were about to start their duel. Fawn had borrowed a small wooden dagger from the weapon holder at the side of the training ground. I seriously don't understand why they would put these weapons out in the weapon. It might not kill anyone, but wooden swords can still hurt someone.
Fawn used water to make a sharp blade around the dagger. It was useful to see fights since you learn something new every time. I needed to try that out later. Wait, wasn't he seven? I just shrugged it off since I had other things to think about. My focus wasn't really on the battle. I had things to think about like the crown prince parade that was coming up in two days. I needed to tell dad but he is going to ask how I figured it out. It was not something an ordinary seven-year-old could find out, but how would I tell them.
'Baba, is something wrong?'
'No, I'm just thinking.'
'What are you thinking about?'
'I try to find out a way to save the crown prince or he will die during the parade. Wait, Ari can you go get me a pen and paper?'
'Alright, baba.' Her voice was really cheerful. I watched as Ari jumped off of Flora's lap and ran towards the house. She came back after a few minutes. She handed me the paper and pen. I wrote 'the crown prince of Flores will be assassinated in two days during the parade'.
'Put it on dad's office table. Try not to get caught and try not to make it slobbery.' Ari ran back into the house. I turned back to the fight to see who was winning. It was definitely Arthur since he smoothly dodging every attack. Arthur summoned fire in his hand and was ready to blast. I heard someone call my name so I turned to the voice. Flora was coming towards me. She looked like she wanted to say something important. I was probably going to get it from Fawn, but it's not like I have to avoid her every time.
I looked back at the fight to see Arthur had launched his attack and Fawn dodged the attack. Flora was literally in Arthur's line of attack. I got up and ran towards her.
"Get down!" It was Fawn. He noticed. Fawn was running towards Flora, and Arthur followed him. They weren't going to make it. Time slowed down as my body slowed down. I didn't have time and I wasn't going to make it. Flora just stood there, looking at the incoming attack with wide-eyes. I put my hands back and blasted a wind spell out of both of my hands, making me almost fly towards her. I took one last leap towards Flora and put a hand around her waist. I jumped aside, making me fall on top of her. I let a sigh of relief. I heard a hiccup. I looked down to see Flora crying. Wait, was she hurt? Flora came up and hugged. She was crying on my shoulder. I guess she was just mentally shaken. I patted her head, trying to help her feel better.
I looked towards the direction that Fawn and Arthur was coming from. I saw one more person. Someone I know. A person that had beautiful silver hair with ruby-head eyes. Those eyes looked sad as I carefully examined.
