Chapter 37 - Lavender Moon

Haze activated immediately on his computer when he arrived back at his mansion. His timer for creating gods had just reached zero, and he also wanted to upgrade Zack and Rail to the D- Rank.

He opened up Rail's screen before she gently grabbed his hand and moved it away from her character.

"You-you don't want to upgrade me," Rail said as she pointed at Zack as he picked up the remote and sat down by the television. "Zack just learned a new skill. You should be fine beating anyone else with nine wins."

"It's not that special. It hasn't been named yet," Zack sighed and pulled out his sword, "It's a shame you haven't named it yet. It would make up for how fast i was created,"

"Fine, let's call it " Haze clicked over to combat mode and looked at Zack, "You like that name? I can come up with a better one if you want?"

"It's filling in the void," Zack said as he rubbed his stomach, "Some food would also help Mack. Is that hat just for show?"

"I'm a chef. I cooked for my sister since I was seven," Mack tossed his cellphone to Haze and walked out the room, "Haze, how does garlic chicken sound? I-I don't want to mess this up."

"He's just happy he's not eating ramen," Rail smiled as Haze clicked on and took a deep breath, "Tell Calli to come here and give him a massage. He's in desperate need of an angel's hands."

"Did someone say massage?" Calli walked into the room with a nurses outfit on and gently put her hands on Haze's back. "I've been waiting for you so long! What happened with Laminate? Did she join the guild?"

"She's alive," Haze clicked on his starting three characters, and sent a request to fight with [Night Coil]. "I-I can't believe I'm doing this. Zack, Waxing... Please don't feel any pressure to win.,"

"I could cut the pressure in the air with a knife," Zack turned off the television as the match started to load. "It's like that final break after a commercial."

"Funny, you even shut off the television," Rail jumped on Haze's lap and gently cuddled on his chest. "Mack, get everyone up here. They need to stop doing things downstairs."

"I'll get them. I think Port was showing Lapis a new trick with her shield," Mack waved and walked down the stairs as the match finally loaded. To Haze's surprise there was actually two people in the audience. He didn't think that it was possible to watch.

"Those two are with a high level guild," Rail opened her eyes and yawned, "They already made it to the B rank, so they don't have to fight in unless they want to. Looks like you caught someone's attention."

"How?" Haze watched Zack put on the as [Night Coil] appeared on the other side of the map, "Damn it! Zack, you got this! I know you got this!"

"I don't got it. I will take eat food in it," Zack tried to add some humor, but coughed as Haze stared, "I mean... I will do well."

[The match is about to start... 3... 2... 1...]

[The Red Water Guild has promised you three god credits if you win the match.]

[The Lake House Guild has promised you four god credits if you win the match.]

[The match is beginning!]

"Zack! don't hold back! Use your new move immediately," Haze said as a large man in a pin stripe suit with two small daggers named [Calm Night] appeared on the rock covered stage. "I don't want to find out what that god does."

"I watched a replay on him." Calli said as she gently massaged Haze's shoulder, "What? You left your computer open and I decided to help."

"You-you used my computer? She can do that?"

"She can do anything that we can all do. Remember to log off next time, father." Rail turned and dragged her sleeve onto Haze's shoulder. "I'm going to close my eyes. Things go better with your eyes closed."

"He-he kicks really hard. It's a cool ability," Calli cracked Haze's back with a smile, "It's hard to explain."

"I-I found out," Zack twisted to the side as [Calm Nigh] tapped down on his foot and accelerated towards him. He immediately kicked at Zack before he turned his blade to block the leg.

Zack's blade turned red as he activated as the silver colored leg went into his sword.

[You've received a chat from [Night Coil] accept?]

"Ignore... Ignore it!" Haze clicked [X] on the box and watched Zack's blade get slightly pushed back.

Haze turned and used the [ghost steps] to appear behind [Night Coil] before he slashed at his head. His head rolled off his body as Zack sighed and crossed his arms.

"That felt too easy. Did I do okay?"

"That was great Zack. You want a massage from Mace?" Rail said as she smiled and winked at Zack as another god appeared on the stage named [Lavender Moon]. "You think that's possible."

"Just be careful Zack! He didn't surrender... Usually, they surrender..." Haze zoomed into the Lavender Moon and tried to figure out why she didn't have a weapon. "Stay away from her! I got a bad feeling."

"This isn't a big stage," Zack sighed and sent out dozens of sword crescents towards [Lavender Moon] as she casually walked towards him. "Should I not have attacked!"

"Take my gloves off now," Waxing said as she walked into the room. "I think I recognize that god! Toss your gloves to the edge?"

"Recognize... How is that possible?" Rail said as Zack's attacks crashed into [Lavender Moons] body.

She smiled and grew in size before her waist quickly inflated.She smiled and pretended to make a gun with her hand before she fired a fake shot.

Zack rolled to dodge before her body burst into bits and exploded. The wind was so strong that Zack who was near the corner of the stage was sent flying out of bounds.

[Lotion has been disqualified.]

[Lavender Moon has been killed]

"I'm still in!" Waxing transformed into her human form and ran towards Rail as she appeared on the stage. "This-this isn't good is it?"

"Ugh, we can still win." Rail opened her eyes and stretched, "We just got to play mind games with him, or her."

Haze took a deep breath and looked down at Rail. He only had one fighter in this entire group and it was Zack! He prioritized defense the most because Zack seemed like the perfect offense.

"This-this is all my fault! If we lose, we'll have to do the promotion event, right?"

"Don't worry." Mack came in the room with food as a character named [Aim Cannon] appeared with two cannons under his left and right arms." Rail can teleport and that guy needs to stare to fire."

"Six seconds and he's dead," Rail put on the gloves in the stadium as two beams of light started to form on the cannon. "I won't ruin this for you. I promise."

"I-I trust you," Haze rubbed her head as she smiled and teleported to the corner of the stage.

Two fire flames shot out fo the cannons and turned into small jets that flew towards Rail. She snapped again and appeared inches from [Aim Cannon] before she spun and kicked him in the chest before twisting and slapping him in the face..

[Aim Cannon] looked at her and laughed before she snapped and appeared on the other side of the stage.

"Are you kidding me? Slapping me in the face?" [Aim Cannon] ran towards her and fired two more shots. "You're like everyone else. Sending in your best first and losing them in an explosion."

"Look at me," Rail said on the rocky surface as she stuck out her tongue. "Is this the kind of face you think loses? Why don't you look up and stare at the sky."

"I'd rather look at you."

"Three... Two... One," Rail smiled as she counted at [Aim Cannon] ran towards her and fired a shot. He stared at her the entire time as the fire jets flew towards her and got inches of her face.

"He's still staring, zero," Rail watched his body fall before she snapped and dodged the fire jets at the last second, "Some people don't like being told what to do. It's a shame gods are never too different from their creators."

[Haze has won his tenth consecutive battle!]

"Well, that probably won't work again," Rail closed her eyes and lied back on Haze, "Wake me when it's 10 clock. The food should be ready by then."
