Haze spent twenty minutes getting Laminate out of the cocoon before she was conscious.
She sat down as Zack watched television with Carl and Terror. The three of them became friends after the effect of the parasite wore off.
"I'm sorry, who are you again?" Laminate said as she rubbed back her curly brunette hair and fixed her white tied up blouse. "You saved me, right? I guess I owe you something special for all the effort?"
"You really weren't in control of yourself? The parasite got you on the first day you got the application?"
"Yup, I made Rocket and then got attacked walking down the block, She's part of our guild too?" Laminate rubbed her eyes as she thought about all her options. She felt terrified and happy to be alive as she looked around at her mansion, "So, I didn't do anything with you right to get you to come here?"
"He's pure," Rail sat down on the couch after arriving a few minutes ago, "He's never been out of my site."
"Yes, so, what are you going to do now?" Waist asked as she put a blanket around Laminate, "There is only so much we can do to help you survive. All your gods were made to be sacrificed right?"
"Except three to keep me alive in combat mode," Laminate took a sip of coffee as she wiped off her nose. "Damn it, I didn't think it hurt so much when I woke up. That was not fun."
"I think you don't have anime here," Zack said as she crossed his arms, "These movies are all bad. Carl, we shouldn't come back here."
"Stop complaining," Rail lied down on the couch as Haze tried to figure out what to do. He had her join his guild so he didn't' want her to die, but there was only so much he could do to get her god credits.
"Is-is there anything we can do Rail? Can we just take her with us and get her out of here?"
"If you want to take a risk, you can pay 3 god credits to help her move to Earth. You need a second domain, though, and that also cost 7 god credits, father."
"I think I know one thing we can do," Waist bit her lip and put Laminate's head on her lap, "We can help her with missions until she's back on her feet. Either that or there are these,"
Waist put down the computers she found in Laminate's room. It was quite a windfall of applications. There was programs for three demons, one parasite, and one succubus. "If we give her all of these disks, she can easily grind missions before doing combat. If we help her choose good gods, she probably won't die."
"Thanks, but can you just let me get drunk and then leave," Laminate reached for a wine bottle and sighed as her arm cracked, "Ow, what the hell? If you're going to steal my body, can you at least not break it."
"What did they do with you anyway?" Haze asked as he opened up
"Well, I think I'm responsible for at least ten deaths," Laminate checked the wine bottle but it was empty before she tossed it at Terror, "This man crushed most of them with his bare hands."
"I-I had no choice. The parasite took us over," Terror yawned and tried to grab the remote, but failed as Zack passed the remote to Carl, "It was terrible. I was meant to protect her, but i failed."
"Well, good news," Haze said as he looked at his god credits. "We got a hidden reward from a guild... they-they gave us ten god credits each!"
"No way?" Laminate said as she fell on Haze's lap and put her hands on the laptop. "What does the prompt say?"
[Reward received]
[The [Red Water Guild] put up a mission to stop an initiation of the [Fury Back Guild]]
[The Fury Back Guild has been responsible for the death of over 1250 god smiths and has one of the worst reputation of all the guilds. They are one of the few guilds that has reached the B rank without completing any promotion events, and they are known for using parasites. The Red Water Guild Rewarded each of your guild members ten god credits for stopping an invitation of a new member.]
[Reward Ten God Credits [x3]]
[Invitation to the Red Water Guild Head quarters.]
"Yup, they're horrible people. I figured," Laminate closed her eyes on Haze's lap. "Well, that nice. Can I still be in the guild, guild master."
"You-you're so warm," Haze looked over at Waist as she turned with annoyance to look at the kitchen, "However, ti's up to Waist! I don't mind if you stay or not."
"Duh, I want her to stay. However, what about the Red Water Guild?"
"Send a message to the guild leader, but don't go unless you're prepared to die," Rail got up and put on her coat as she looked up at the mid day sun. "Zack, you're too close to the television.
"It's okay. I'm too disappointed to look from far away," Zack missed the point completely as he kept staring at the screen flash. He was extremely upset that there was no anime to watch, "How about we try another television. Do they have different shows?"
"No, but we got to go," Haze gently put his hand on Laminate's head, "You mind moving? I-I think she fell asleep."
"I'll move her head," Waist leaned down and gently put her to the side of Haze as she grabbed his hand. "Here, hold me now. I was the first one to join the guild."
Haze stared into her eyes and blushed before she laughed and pulled him up.
"I'm kind of kidding. I just don't like my guild leader having favorites!"
"He definitely likes you more, Waist" Zack said as he put his arm around Carl," You made [Ant Life] so that means you're more compatible."
"Really? Well, it's nice to know he doesn't' just stare because he hates me," Waist pointed at the computer, "I'm going to head back now. Message me when you're ready to ready a guild mission, love."
"Bye!" Haze rubbed the back of his head before Waist disappeared. He sighed and looked down at Laminate as she turned over and snored.
"I'll protect her now," Terror handed Haze the computer, "I'm in debt to you. Get home and take a bath, bye."
"That's a weird way of saying bye," Haze clicked on the computer and pressed return to domain before he paused and put a blanket on her back. "Zack, you want to tell me what that red move was now."
"When I think of a move name, I'll tell you. " Zack pat Terror on the back as the two of them shared a look of understanding about the television in Terror's world, "Terror, hope your bath doesn't suck. Let's go Haze."
