I Stood after several hours into the night and stretched. This wait and see who made the first mistake wasn't working. I need to change my plan to be able to catch this person. I headed to the tent I was staying in and went in the gaze disappearing once I was inside.
I went to my bunk and sat on it taking my guns off my belt and putting them under my pillow. I then took off my knife and set it by my pillow before laying down. The others in the tent were already fast asleep tired from the days of travel. We were only waiting for where we were supposed to go and attack so other than practice we had nothing to do here at this camp.
Although for me with the pair of eyes constantly watching since that afternoon I needed to find the owner of them. Although I did need rest, as well as I was wanting to tempt them to come into the camp where I could catch them. I was no fool as I knew the importance of catching this person. They could avoid getting caught by me so this meant they were not normal like myself.
It did make me wonder if they were more skilled than myself. If they were then there would be issues as I wouldn't be able to stop them but if we were equal then it would be a self destruction battle. I didn't know if there were others like myself so I knew I had to be careful. For now I was going to wait and watch and wait for this person to make a mistake so I could catch them or discover if I need to withdraw.
I was no idiot who would sacrifice myself for no good reason. If I could live I would If not I would but my all in and take that person with me to hell. With this kind of thinking I was both cold-blooded and ruthless to myself but also to my enemy. I had picked this up when fighting during the revolt.
I was unafraid of death but I wouldn't die an unnecessary death if I could help it. I would rather my death do so good even if it wasn't much. I sighed softly and shook my head of my thoughts as I lay in bed resting while at the same time listening for anyone approaching.
I stayed awake til dawn but had no luck in any way as the person never came down into the camp. I sat up on my bed as the others started to wake. I glanced at them before putting my guns on my belt as well as my knife before standing and going out of the tent. I didn't feel any gaze watching me and I walked around the tent before going to get some breakfast.
I felt more relaxed without someone watching me and as such I noticed I was hungry. I walked to the outside kitchen and got some oatmeal before sitting down and eating it. I ate silently at the side of the kitchen area. The oatmeal was plain but it didn't bother me as I ate it. I finished eating and put my bowl in the dirty dishes pile. As I was starting to walk away I heard someone call out to me.
"I guess you don't know the camp rules. When new folks come in they need to do the dishes after they eat." I looked at the brawny big man who had spoken. "I have more things to worry about and deal with than dishes so you do them."
I started to walk off but before I could get far I felt a gaze watching me. It was the same gaze as before and my steps paused for a moment. I then felt a hand on my shoulder and looked back at the burly man who had grabbed my shoulder.
"Get your hand off." Her voice was cold. The man didn't seem to notice, "You need to do the dishes Private." He had pointed at my signia. I spoke, "get your hand off. I already told you I have more important things to think about then doing dishes" The man scowled, "Not that important Private. I'm a Lance corporal, You have got to listen to your superiors. Now do those dishes."
I looked at him and before he could react I grabbed him by the waist and threw him over my shoulder. I then went to him once he was flat on his back. I looked down at him coldly.
"I have far more important things to do then listen to an idiot who isn't even from my squad."
I then stepped on and over the man. I could feel the gazes of everyone on me. I glanced over and saw all their eyes were wide in shock but no one said a word as I walked off. I walked to the edge of the camp facing the hill. After a bit I stalked off into the camp. If I couldn't spot my watcher then perhaps I could lure them out. Although it would only be during the night I could lure them out to actually leave that hill.
I walked and went to the showers to kill some time while trying to ignore the gaze that was watching my every move. I entered the shower tent and get in the shower. I showered swiftly before getting out and got dressed before leaving the tent. The moment I left I could feel the gaze back on me. I sighed silently as I walked around the camp.
I went over to the shooting range that had been set up. I upholstered my Glock and started to shoot at the target. I was slowly destroying the target making it smaller. I emptied several clips turning my frustration into something productive. I shot my Glock until I ran out of bullets then switched to my Ruger.
I Fired making the target smaller and smaller with every bullet never missing a shot until only the center was left as well as the stick that had been holding the target up. I checked how many bullets I had left before looking at the target and hitting the center and the stick, never missing a shot. I only stopped after The target was no more along with the stick. I checked my bullets and only had a handful more for my Ruger.
I then turned and left the shooting range. I noticed the burly man from that morning as he was looking at me with fear in his eyes. I walked past him ignoring his and the others reaction to her destroying the target. I headed to the supply tent and get some more bullets. I then went to the tent I was sleeping in and entered.
I went and sat on my bed and started to reload my gun clips. I calmly worked on reloading my gun clips. I then noticed the others enter the tent and I glanced over. I then went back to my work reloading my gun clips. I looked up as I heard Jamie speak.
"You really flipped that burly guy this morning?" I nodded, "Yes, I had more important things to take care of. And He was trying to stop me." Jamie chuckles, "We also heard you demolished a shooting target earlier." I again nodded, "I did, I'm getting annoyed with being constantly watched so I got some target practice in."
Jamie looked at me. "Right, that person is watching. Although I think you may have taken it too far with both that guy and that poor target. You might be written up." I shrugged, "I could care less. It is more important to catch this person who can get past the camp guards and look into our camp." Jamie paused, "true.."
I then went back to my guns. I finished reloading the clips and went on to clean my guns. I wanted my guns working in their best condition so not to get caught unawares without properly working guns. I cleaned my guns taking them apart before putting them back together. I then holstered them and went back out the tent. Almost immediately I could feel that familiar gaze watching me.
I looked to the hill on the side of the camp for a moment before walking around camp. I walked trying my best to ignore the gaze on me.I was thinking of how to catch this person watching me even as I walked around the camp checking the activities out. I wanted to make sure everything was going as normal. Seeing everything didn't seem different from what I had seen yesterday, I walked toward the edge of camp.
I went to the edge of camp where the hill was and scanned the hill. As I scanned the hill the gaze watching me vanished. I stood scanning the hill thinking. I sighed and walked off as the sky started to darken as the sun sank on the horizon. I headed for my tent confused why the person was only watching and hadn't made a single move but was just watching me.
I really couldn't understand it. Why were they watching only me? Was it because they knew I was the most dangerous person in the camp or was it because of some other reason? Could it be I was being targeted for what happened in South America? Even still; why had they not made any moves? Were they waiting for me to lower my guard?
I sighed before going into my tent and over to my bed. I sat down and put my guns under my pillow and my knife by my pillow. I then lay down and closed my eyes thinking of the possibilities. I wasn't nervous to face my opponent but I disliked this waiting game they seemed to be having. I listened to the others as they lay in their beds starting to doze off.
