I left my tent late in the night going out to face the spy. I moved swiftly and silently leaving the camp without others noticing. I headed south keeping to the shadows to not be noticed. I was not going to screw this up. I was going to either catch this person to kill them.
I soon made it to the hidden building and went to the east of it. I found the door and went in silently. The place was pitch black but the minimal light from the open door behind me gave just enough light to see the place was being used. There was no dust on the floor nor anything out of place. I moved silently going in deeper. The place looked to be some kind of bunker.
The first floor I entered looked to be communications and a cafeteria. I then found the stairs and went down them. I had already drawn my glock out and pulled it off safety. I went down the stairs and found the sleeping quarters. I searched carefully but didn't find anyone so I moved on and found another set of stairs and went down them.
I reached the bottom of the stairs and entered a large space. Before I could properly have a look bright lights suddenly turned. On blinding me for a moment. I blinked a few times and my vision came back to me and I looked around. I then spotted a well-fit guy standing by the lights seeming to be playing with a knife in his hands. I looked closer and discovered the knife was mine.
The man spoke in a playful tone, "You managed to find me. Color me impressed. I knew you were skilled when you first noticed my gaze but I didn't expect you to be this skilled to be able to find me. Though I do say your knife throwing skills caught me off guard then I will admit I do love a good game of cat and mouse."
I scowled, "That's my knife. I want it back." The man laughed, "Oh really? Sure I'll give it back to you after you tell me your name." I glared, "Only after you tell me yours." The guy grinned, "very well, I am Airc." I frowned slightly, "I'm Kanami."
Airc grinned and threw my knife at me. I swiftly caught it before it could cause any harm to me and glared at him. I pocketed my knife and looked at him.
"You are really skilled. I can't wait to kill you. You'll be the strongest person I've ever killed and I will surely remember your name." I glared, "I'll be killing you not the other way around. Though I will also remember your name long after you're dead."
Nearly at the same time we both brought up our guns and fired at one another. I was slightly faster and managed to pull my trigger first. I then swiftly dodged the bullet he had fired at me and it passed by me harmlessly. I also noticed he dodged my bullet. I scowled and fired another shot at him though it seemed he had the same idea as he fired at me again.
I swiftly dodged and fired another shot knowing this would be a fight of who was more skilled and faster. I jumped to the side as a bullet headed for me and fired another bullet in quick succession. I glared at Airc focusing as I started to shoot several bullets at him without pause. Although I also noticed he was doing the same.
It seemed this was going to be the most difficult fight I ever was in even before I gained these powers or skills whichever you wanted to call them. This was a fight to the death. The winner would walk away from this and the loser would die. I could not afford to lose as I still had many unanswered questions.
I dodged bullets swiftly even as I ran out of bullets and released my clip while grabbing another and replacing the one I emptied. I then loaded my gun chamber before foreign again. The room they were in had become filled with flying bullets and for anyone else who didn't have our abilities would have long been filled full of bullets.
Though for the two of us we were still shooting at each other without pause except when reloading our guns. I jumped to the side to dodge a bullet he had fired at my head and realized this had pushed me into the path of another bullet but being in the air I couldn't dodge. I braced myself and soon enough I was shot through my left thigh.
I dropped to the ground and looked up to only see there were no more bullets being fired at me. I looked over to Airc who was also on the ground. He was gripping his right shoulder and looked like he was trying not to curse. I blinked and realized He must have gotten shot about the same time as me.
I then sat up fully ignoring the pain in my thigh and looked at Airc bringing up my gun to point at him. Before I could fire though I heard Aric speak, well more of a shout.
"Fuck! You actually shot me! This is awesome! It hurts like hell! You hurt me! Do you know what this means?!" I frowned pointing my gun at him, "What the hell are you talking about?" Aric grinned at me though he was also gritting his teeth, "We don't have to fight!"
I frowned confused before he elaborated, "You hurt me. I now belong to you!" I froze, "What?!" Aric grinned, "I belong to you! I promised my mom if ever I met someone who could hurt me I would join them and belong solely to them." I froze in shock and confusion.
He then continued to say, "I am going to win your heart over too! I don't expect you to agree to this right away so I'll work on it though We no longer have to fight. I'll also join your side and give you any information you want…" I snapped out of my shock and shouted, interrupting his rambling, "What the hell are you talking about?!"
Airc looked at me, "I'm talking about marriage!" He grinned. I stared at him, "What?!" Aric grinned, "You hurt me. I promised my mom I would marry any girl who could hurt me and you hurt me. So, I am yours!" I stared at him like he was crazy and shouted, "Are you insane?!" Aric grinned, "Nope!"
I stared at him, my jaw dropping to the floor at his seemingly shameless declaration. I stared in complete shock. Who would switch sides because of some promise? He must be just wanting to live and infiltrate our camp. As if he knew what I was thinking he spoke.
"Also If I am serious about this. If I wasn't I could easily escape, especially with you shot in the leg there. Also I don't need to infiltrate your camp, I can easily do that at any time I want." I stared, "Why then?" He spoke smiling, "I made a promise. I always keep my promises."
He then looked at me and asked, "Why are you acting as if you're not in much pain? I know that has to hurt like hell. I know my wound does." I sighed, shaking my head, "It doesn't hurt much, I've been through worse." Aric looked at me, "Really?"
I nodded before I looked at his gun. He noticed and smiled before setting it on the ground and sliding it to me. I frowned looking at him uncertainly, I didn't know if I could trust he didn't have any other weapons on him. He grinned at me before looking at the wound in his shoulder.
"Do you have any bandages? Or painkillers? This hurts like hell." I sighed, "No."
I then stood not putting any weight on my injured leg. The wound was a through and through and lucky it missed all my vitals otherwise I would be bleeding out. I looked to Airc and sighed looking at the time. Captain Sean probably would be here shortly. Before I had left the camp he had insisted he be the one who would lead the squad in after my hour was up.
