Chapter 29 - Ch 29 Building

After awhile I gave up on the humans they were far too slow to keep me busy enough and moved my perspective back to the cavern and began working on defenses a bit more my defenses were a bit too last second last time I want to develop some proper defenses. I send out ravens in all direction and start dropping bits of them towards the land as they flew each bit hit the ground and begun to develop immediately as it sprouted up a sapling that was a few feet tall but far to skinny to take much more then a relaxing wind as each tree began to fill with countless pigeon sized leaves the tree's began to shoot them out in all directions like an infinite barrage of needles from a porcupine's back each one flew out and struck the ground or a wall in all directions and instantly a new cannons began to form. I went on like this for most of the cavern filling it to the brim with small cannons that then were hidden beneath the ground as I work I explore the cavern a bit looking around at my home for the first time in awhile. It would seem the rats are doing well there city is actually apparently expanding as well as their architecture skills. New burrows were being built on the tops of old burrows over and over it almost made some points around the city look like bee hives I can't picture these homes being very large. It's kinda sad the walls would be very difficult to expand as I'm grown into it and that's there main source of food. It is good that there population has exploded seeing as they have no wars and a steady food source. As I feel a tad sad about the walls I notice that the rats are actually building burrows outside of the walls as well. I guess it's not exactly important that they build inside the walls that are really more of a farm at this point so the fields aren't exactly needed for the production of mushrooms.

As I look around I continue to spread countless cannons throughout my cavern and redeveloping the walls by lifting more stones up in my vines and coiling them around each stone and reinforcing the entrance while also making a off shoot grow out of the door which immediately sprouted leafs which shot off as quickly as they grew filling the entire cavern outside the doorway with green as I began to develop defenses roots and vines to trap any attackers before they can cross the entrance and countless cannons began to form then hide themselves away just beneath the soil reinforcing the cavern inadvertently.

Just as I had finished setting up my new defenses and reinforcing the rats gateway Alex rings in my head. *Skill [Earth] learned*

Huh... Guess I have been doing a lot with soil and rocks of late. Let's play about a bit I guess. As my eyes wonder about I think back to how my rat people have little homes dug into the earth so I move my perspective to one of the birds that I had given out and spot a little white haired rat who appears to be struggling to cast it's heal on what appears to be a small cut on her own arm. I wasn't aware that they needed to learn how to heal. I thought they just kinda get it like me so I sit there watching the little rat endlessly try to force the white light out of her own hand until she fell over seemingly exhausted. I guess she ran outta mana. I hop over and check her wound only to see it's still there and she appears to be bleeding quite profusely. Out of curiosity I try to place my bird bodies wing over the wound and force my emerald light onto it like she was doing with her white.

Almost immediately I heard a ringing in my head as the wound healed and the rat began to grow from what appeared to be a child to an adult in a few seconds. Uncertain of what I did I looked over to Alex for a explanation. *Skill [Gift of Life] learned* Huh? Wait so did I not heal her but simply give her some of my life force? Does that mean I can die if I heal to many people? How much life force would a divine tree even have? A lot I'd assume. A tree is already a long lived species without adding the divine quality which I assume may alter how long I live. Hmm... Out of curiosity I decide to kidnap the little... scratch that adult rat and take her to my body so I can observe her more closely. I wonder how deeply she's changed maybe I can use this for something. The moment I start to drag her out of the cave with a couple ravens I remember why I came here.

Turning around with my bird leaving the ravens to there job. I place my wing upon the walls and try to observe the little cave that the young rat once lived in. I can't help but wonder how there society works. I mean the rat I just kidnapped was a child right? Why was it living alone? Will it's parents be scared that she just disappeared? Will they notice? Maybe I should like make it apparent I took her. I begin by fire planting a small tree with part of the birds body outside the cave entrance maybe that'll help. After leaving a mark of who the culprit was I move back to the room and continue with what I was doing. I reach out again to the wall and start by trying to pull a small amount out.

Almost immediately a large spike formed skewering my little bird wing. I force the part back and my wing heals almost immediately... I'ma need to work on this. Rather then moving it this time I try to just put more pressure on the dirt walls gently condensing the earth around the room quickly the brown walls became somewhat lighter as the moisture inside of them is pushed out. Oh... wait maybe I do this some more I can learn to control water too. That would help with the fire beast.

Quickly I begin to force all the moisture out of the walls around me but right when every drop of it was gone I noticed the cracks. Suddenly the whole dwelling caves in crushing my bird.

In the rubble Alex flashed yet again when no one was looking but the rubble hid the message only a gentle light and the borders of the window were visible but the mc missed it entirely.
