Chapter 34 - Ch. 34 Elemental Invaders

As the world came to a stand still I looked around. Many panicked faces could be seen all around. Confused, scared, anxious even lost was the emotion that flooded all the tiny faces of those who had rushed into the cavern. A giant ball of water flooded with scaly frog like men with a giant hall of ice resting upon it rested in one side of the cavern as a world of flames seemed to inhabit the opposite side only occupied by the wingless lizards.

At the center of that world was me. Nearby stood the tall walls and countless holes in the ground that was the rat city. All that was in the cavern regardless of who they were turned there gaze to me. The giant tree that's leaves rained down light across the entire cavern. The small body of a watery figure and equally large flaming figure flew out from there respective areas and met in the center. Curious I watched as they seemed to deliberately avoid going to close to my trunk and met at the edge of each others territory. It would seem that the elemental's are either planning to talk or fight. However before the two flying elements could meet the drakes rushed towards the frogmen and immediate began to fight. The rats that followed me refused to come out of there homes after peeking out to see the chaos that was occurring. Unsure of what was going on I saw the two elements finally get close enough to meet. They just stared. No sound was made no word was said. Can they talk? Do they plan on fighting? After a long silence both the elements just went back to where they came. Without ever interacting with one another. Did they talk? Telepathy?

After the elementals parted ways the frogmen and the drakes seemed to loose a little bit of hope and immediately ran back to there respective areas. Unsure of what was going on there and what I wanted to do with my little invaders I just get to work on reshaping molding and fixing my cavern. Hardening the stone and forcing back up the ceiling then remaking the main gate by shaping stone around a form made of roots and using my own roots as support for the giant stone gate before slowly moving my roots out to reshape the collapsed parts of the tunnel outside my home. After the path outside the cavern that had collapsed is reshaped and I confirm the lack of scolding steam that instantly vaporized even my roots I move my roots beneath the ground into the walls and ceiling as support and push my perspective back to the roots near the gates and setup a little pressure plate in front of the gate with roots it won't actually open the gate but I mean I'll feel when people step there so I can always just do it myself...

After the reconstruction is all done I move my perspective back to my main body and start looking at the situation with the invaders. The first thing that hits me is how dumb they are... These invaders have run into my home and now are all sleeping out in the open surrounded by countless guns buried right beneath their feet... These little pests in my home are really not great at sensing danger. I mean you'd think they'd try to like build a home for themselves or something dig a hole anything but sleep out in the open I mean that wouldn't save them from me I can just go anywhere and plant more of myself so not like it matters that much but still they were just fighting weren't they? They could sneak attack one another while they sleep.

The second thing I noticed was the gathering outside the rat city walls furry adorable little fields of white the frosty little teddy bears that I met before seem to have gathered outside the rat city. The rat king and a big bear seem to just be screeching at each other I don't know what they are supposed to be saying but I honestly don't care I guess I should help the rat king if they start fighting but right now they've still got walls so I go ahead and start mass producing birds to replace the ones I used to support the cavern. As my ravens take flight across the cavern and perch themselves upon every single branch of my old roots made independent trees. The ravens looking down upon the invaders as the invaders are quickly out numbered my leaves shedding from my main body as quickly as they are regrowing. The entire cavern becomes a flock before the invaders knew what was happening. Once they looked up I expected fear but they didn't seem to surprised... Which disappointed me. As I wondered why all the animals seemed so calm I noticed two little creatures had approached my main body... Feeling challenged I move my perspective to my wolf and jump to greet them as my hawk eyes them from above.
