Chapter 33 - Ch. 33 Powerlessness

As the shadows in the distance begin to approach one another the world seems to termble in excitement. Countless figures falling from the hole and stretching wide wings as they roar and a wave of heat slaps me in the face forcing me to retreat more. The giant figure that escaped the pool responded by opening it's mouth and releasing a deafening roar that seemed to force a earth quake life the water and freeze the steam time coming to halt. The only things still moving the largest figure in the sky and the giant shadow that rose up from the lake as a light akin to the one that escaped the god from before escaped the figure in skies still open mouth and some kind of endless vortex begun to spread towards the sky as the giants mouth remained open the steam that once filled the room multiplied at an insanely fast speed as the two streams of light and water get closer with a explosion of sound to match the previous roar the world shook the entrance to the cavern and the entire ceiling developing countless cracks as I quickly escape backwards dodging the falling stones. My life may not be in danger but I don't wanna lose my wolf.

I don't notice in all the excitement the shaking of every branch, leaf bird, and even armor I had made over the journey as a tree. Violently trembling my whole being seemed to have been shaken to the core. Many fruit on the walls of the city fell but all my followers were first attracted to the tree in the sky. Many leaves falling down and crumbling into stone. The rats immediately rushed back into there homes as they escape the falling leaves. I noticed just after the excitement and fear I had shown in that moment as I rush back home with my wolf. I push my perspective back into my main body. Trying my best to hold still.

After I had finally calmed myself countless slamming sounds could be heard my wolf seemingly leading an army of creatures into the still open door of the cavern. The guards seeing the wolf just allowed the escaping creatures to pass not interested in stopping anything that I did. Quickly I try to rush to close the gate but am too late the escaping creatures managed to enter my cavern right before I close the door. They immediately disperse running in all directions. Strange frogs, drakes, polar bears, even a few dogs the largest of having multiple heads rushing out into the nearby forests and hiding in the well lite terrain. A giant ball of water among the crowd seems to tremble when it sees my main body before rushing off into a corner creating a massive lake in a crater I had accidentally made while testing my light cannons before. A bright light at the center of which stood a flaming figure that also seemed excited to see all the parts of me spread out rushed into a different corner seemingly avoiding the water. Unbeknownst to them many small creatures following them from behind. The water had a trail of fish people seemingly chasing there natural habitat and polar bears that appeared to be following there leader. The fire trailed by an army of drakes. After the door closed a wave of heat struck the vines that made up it's body ignoring the intruders, as I simply didn't have the time, I immediately begin to manipulate the earth to cover up the entrance to keep safe my home as a explosion rung out shaking the earth and a weight like no other seemed to fall upon my tree top. Not caring to much about it I just held it up with my massive body as while it was heavy it didn't even strain me.

The earth that had been used to block off the entrance quickly began to be baked by the heat that struck it and outside with my roots I felt scolding steam and water escape everywhere the roots that stood above the ground instantly being vaporized by the steam. I have to guess that in the wake of that fight my cavern is the last safe place throughout the whole underground. Quickly changing my perspective to the pigeons that the humans carried I see them rushing as fast as they could towards a bright light the world shaking even this far away a warm steam spreading out behind them and waves of heat raising with it as the cavern above them began to collapse without thinking I force one of my pigeons off it's carrier planting it into the walls and shaping the earth behind the group as I quickly support it with the vines that grew. Forcing more earth and vines to grow as the shaking continues vines quickly growing along the ceiling along the humans paths the heat still reaching them but the steam was blocked by the wall of earth. The pressure pushing towards my vines that supported the wall almost as bad as the weight that fell upon my treetop as I move my perspective back to one of the other pigeons. The humans appear to be in a state of shock and terror as they seem to realized they are being protected just as they escape the cavern the path down collapsed the vines falling with it as I stop keeping it up. Uncaring of if the humans will be alright I quickly move back to my main body as I focus on growing more roots and vines through out the massive caverns walls supporting there weight not bothering the area above my treetop seeing as I'm already keeping that up simply by existing countless ravens slamming themselves into the walls of the cavern to support it.
