After my accidental stent as a demolitionist I decided it might be best if I do experiments in magic in a more controlled environment. Reminds me of the incident with the first light cannon. These rats are lucky to be alive at this point.
I look around after quickly reforming my bird body, peeking at the sparse neighbors of the cave that had come to check on the noise but when they saw my little offshoot before the entrance they just seemed to loose interest. I can't help wondering if they see me as evil or good. I mean they either super trust me or just don't care if I start killing them off. I guess if I really wanted to kill them all off I could just make poison fruit again.
After the casual thought of genocide of my worshipers I move on to the testing of earthen magic while it's important to try it out in a controlled environment I'm still working on a small scale so might as well try to start with this already empty cave the neighbors are to far away for it to be that dangerous for them so should be fine. Starting from the entrance with my off shoot's perspective I begin to reform the cave reinforcing it as I go making sure to build it properly so that the hardened rock doesn't crumble under it's own weight like before building supports out of rock and making the cave dwelling into more of a stone bunker as I create rooms and eventually excavate my bird body.
After my bird body has been freed I leave the offshoot back to it's job and begin to entwine the earthen walls and supports in my wood in key places to give extra support and pliability after a lot of playing around and extra work I realized I had kinda over did it. The once small cave dwelling ended up being a large underground mansion rather then continuing to over expand this one dwelling I guess I should move on to another and try to make the entrances and main rooms in the other dwellings more stable. I should probably start with the houses in the city since I've got it down a bit better so no issue with accidental destruction and the ones outside are ever expanding if I solidify the walls around here too much I may slow or outright half the rats building. First moving towards the center of the city I find the current kings dwelling. Sitting in his large cave in his armor of wood he seems to be happily watching over his children... grandchildren? Idk rats all I know is he probably can't breed with the armor he's got on so they'd have to be somewhat older then the armor. When the king noticed me moving about in the little bird body he seemed to screech out in a low voice and the children stopped and went out of the dwelling I assume to find there mother. Maybe he didn't want them to bother me? As I start looking around at the dwelling making plans to remodel the king just quietly watches me.
Much of these walls seem to already be reinforced by cooking out the moisture in the dirt with fire magic. I guess that seems like a good idea but the walls also appear to be very brittle. I can't judge I did just have that problem myself after all. I start by trying to mix that dirt with the dirt outside it to force more moisture in it as I spread bits of the bird about making vines grow all over the walls to act as supports as I demolish the walls and rebuild them after seeing that I am not there for him the king seems to relax no longer sitting quietly in the corner he starts to curiously watch my actions as I begin to reform his walls to act as a proper stone housing after the walls had all been properly reworked I began to work on the ceiling and floors the king already had a dwelling that was huge many times larger then the other rats and even slightly larger then the house I had just remodeled. After a bit of remodeling I moved on to setting rooms up while doors are a no go for multiple reasons stuff like furniture would probably work. Quickly I form some nearby vines into a large bed growing leaf on top of leaf as I form them into the soft sleeping area making sure it was quite large as the rats are big and this guy should have a wife right? I wonder if she dislikes me I did kinda force her husband to be celibate. Now that I am more accustomed to this rock magic I guess I can move on to something else.
I move my bird body about and hide the unnecessary vines into the rock reforming the walls after then settling it down to where it had been before. Leaving behind the curious king I move my perspective to where I had left off the drakes before. Rather then directly passing through the firewall I decide to shift a small pigeon through the terrain to reach the other side I could have done that before but I couldn't be sure that it wouldn't just run into another fire wall but with earth magic I can guard the bird as it enters the cavern beyond. Seeing as my pigeon design was so small to even be confused as fur it is my best choice in stealth so after shifting through the terrain and forcing some of the rock to cover most of the bird except where my perspective was I traverse my way into the territory of the only other divine being I've run into. Except that god...
*As the mc is reminiscing in his past journey in human territory he reaches the cavern and just behind him Alex flashes a message. "Skill [Soul Refining] unlock requirement 30% met" however Alex doesn't ring yet again and vanishes while the mc is busy with something else.*
