Chapter 32 - Ch. 32 Prison Break?

As I enter the edge of the terrain I see nothing but a massive sauna with no apparent ceiling or end except for the wall I had just came out of. As I watch waiting to see if it's safe since the visibility is so poor. I occasionally see a drake passing by but mostly I just see the thick steam that resides in the air occasionally a seemingly random bit of rain would occur I assume the steam that raises to high cools and falls back down. Seeing nothing to interesting I inch slowly into the cavern keeping most of my little body beneath the ground I squirm forward searching for anything of interest. I see many shadows in the steam running around lazing about apparently wrestling or mating and ripping apart much larger corpses with there teeth and claws. Clusters of skeletons, scales and endless ash spread around upon the ground as I move about I discover more but nothing new comes only many varieties of different beastial remains. Seldom to I see any human remains amongst the corpses but occasionally I will spot a skull or too. Most of the other human bits tend to merge in with the other small and medium size animal piles seeing as they are all just bones and I lack very detailed knowledge of what human bones all look like. I guess I could research that but without a book I cannot really do it outside of catching a human and ripping it apart. Which seems messy and unnecessarily just so I can identify the kind of bones leisurely hell if I wanted to I could have Alex tell me who these bones belong to. While I'm not morally opposed to killing a human I don't exactly see a reason to do it without a good reason. I really don't wanna kill anything without reason. However is the act of killing good or bad in the end? I can't claim to be good as I've killed so many but am I evil? Ah morality is for those who have another to be judged by. I only got Alex. It still seems like it's entirely possible for me to kill of all the rats without them even trying to stop me. Is that what it means to be someones follower? Blind faith? Seems a bit childish... Ah whatever.

As I inched forward in my own internal discussion of morality I spot a strange light in the distance it appears to be dancing about unnatural. I should investigate. With every inch closer the light seems to be dancing more wildly can it see me? Is it excited to see me? What for? Huh... well might as well approach. Finally in eye shot of the distant light it lurched at me. I couldn't react it time as I was curious as to what it was as it burnt away most my body I immediately retracted the none burning parts of the pigeon that was beneath the ground and dug deeper. Loosing most of it's head in the process. After seeing that it's a threat I quickly begin regrowing the pigeons body and spreading it out growing more pigeons around it and then making them larger and adding on cannons. As I work on that I quickly start moving my wolf over. I have a good amount of time so I might as well work on expanding my light cannons.

As my wolf finally gets near to the firewall I decide to ascend with all my now bird sized pigeons as I begin to charge all the cannons at once. Firing in all directions the moment they all ascended. Light and explosions went off all around the room. Terrified and injured roars broke the once oddly quiet land of steam and rain. Finally I spot what the light source was. I couldn't tell before as I only saw fire. However it appears as if it's a fire elemental. I was assuming it'd be a dragon because of all the drakes. The moment my light neared the air around the elemental it struck something whatever the strange thing was it shattered instantly and the elemental broke loose strangely still before it immediately ran off into the steam managing to escape. I assume it has some kind of barrier skill. As I look around the steam seems to be slowly reforming but I can vaguely make out the terrain of the cavern. A lake near by one of the edges seems to be on fire but weirdly when my light touched that fire it started to crack. A giant hole in the ceiling seems to lead up. Only darkness and rain could be seen falling from that hole. A strange eerie sensation pushed down on my head. Immediately I cannot help but think to retreat. I quickly push all my roots under the ground and halt my wolfs sprint as it was about to jump through the now destroyed fire wall. Moving my perspective to the wolf I see the strangest sight... An army of drakes being lead by the fire elemental but only fear is in any of there eyes. As I ready myself to fire they begin to flood around me... Wasn't this their home? Would the thing above not be friendly? Why are they running away and not coming to fight... out of curious I decide to ignore the drakes and fire elemental out right and only back away some so I can learn of what they are so afraid of. As the eerie sensation in the hole intensifies the cracks upon the pools flames become to much and the fire shatters like glass. The water there suddenly raising up. Was it a water elemental being kept back by the firewall? The sound of glass breaking spreads throughout the cavern. As a deafening roar that could split ears, if only I had them, falls down like a mountain from the hole in the ceiling and the water that rose up fell revealing a massive head. Not... a water elemental.
