"Tsk! What was the sense of having a good fridge if you guys are not even planning of putting something usable inside it? What a waste."
Tsking in frustration, Syra mumbled afterward. Meanwhile, seeing her reaction, Naomi only shrugged before replying.
"As I've said, we usually opt for food delivery so Master Clyde doesn't see any good reason to keep food in the fridge or even go for grocery stocks."
"It sure it was."
Syra said with an eye roll.
Even without Naomi telling her, she could already see it for herself. Other than the leftover foods from the previous food deliveries, the fridge's compartment was mostly occupied by nothing but bottled waters.
"Then I guess I have no other choice but to make do of what was available here."
Syra said more to herself and that time, she made her mind to convince Clyde, later on, to go for some grocery stocks.
Syra was so adept at working her way to the kitchen to the point that even Naomi could not help but commend her internally on how well she carried herself as she cooked.
She made the best out of their limited resources and it did not actually take her that long before she was able to prepare food that was good for the consumption of all three of them.
"Wow! You made all of these with such ease?!"
Naomi exclaimed as he still could not believe it with his eyes, despite personally seeing her doing it, in the first place.
Syra on the other hand just flashed him a roguish smile as a response.
"Would you like to have a taste???"
Syra offered as she scooped down a spoonful of the thick soup that she made out from fresh eggs.
"Can I???"
Naomi asked back in hesitation but he was already making his way towards the other party, ready to receive the food that was being offered to him.
"Of course..."
Syra replied with a smile then she bent down to Naomi's level to serve the spoon near to the cat's mouth.
"How is it???"
She inquired at Naomi after giving him a taste.
"It's splendid! Master Clyde would surely love it."
"You think so????"
Syra's smile widen when she heard that.
"Absolutely. Trust me, little girl. That would surely suit our Master's taste."
Naomi reassured her.
"I hope so."
Syra said so as not to appear complacent but even without the other party telling her that, she was 98% sure that Clyde would love it. After all, even her finicky eater step-siblings used to love the food whenever she prepared them that same dish.
"Come on, we better serve it to Master Clyde while it was still hot."
She beckoned at Naomi as she made her way towards Clyde's room.
When she arrived at the entrance heading to their Master's chamber, Syra halted her steps. She stopped just before the door and exhaled a mouthful of breath.
'EHEM'
She deliberately cleared her throat and after doing that, that was the only time that she called out for Clyde's attention.
She knocked three times on the door to announce her presence."
"Master Clyde, are you there? This is Syra. I came bearing your food, have some while it is still hot."
She said but no one answered so she added,
"I know this was quite late, but you can have it as a brunch instead. Breakfast and lunch all in one at the comfort of your bed, sounds good right?"
