It is the same as saying one person's trash is another person's treasure, and there are plenty of trashes around to be claimed and added to my wealth as long as they do not belong to anyone.
"Shop," I check whether the shop is still available to me, as it is one of the greatest assets available to Merchants, who buys and sells on a regular basis. Sometimes every microsecond. I certainly did.
[#*#(*&%#*(#@())!&@?]
Alright. That is getting annoying, and while I cannot open the shop interface, perhaps, I can still use its commands verbally or otherwise. To test that, I pick up a rusted iron pipe lying around on the rooftop.
"Appraise," I command, and a small window appear above the pipe.
[Rusted Pipe (1GP)]
I narrow my eyes at the information, as it is telling more than simply that. My appraisal skill should be able to reveal more about the pipe than simply its selling value, but of course, that skill was at master level.
It is no longer at that level, and from the look of it, it has been reset. Does that mean all of my skills or abilities have been reset? That actually would be a good thing, considering master level requires huge amount of wealth to activate.
I just do not have the wealth to burn right now, so I should find ways to obtain more wealth.
Before that, I attempt to sell the pipe. The information about its ownership is hidden from me due to low level of my appraisal skill, but since it is lying about on the rooftop, it might have been discarded or abandoned by its previous owner.
If that is the case, I can claim ownership and sell it to the Shop System for some GP. GP is Gold Points, which adds to my Wealth level.
The instant that the pipe vanishes from my hand, a smile manifests itself on my lips. While the System is preventing me from accessing my status and check my total Wealth, I am sure the amount of Wealth I have just increased by 1.
Good.
Very, very good.
I attempt to sell everything not bolted down on the rooftop. Most items are worth 0GP. Despite that, they are not considered worthless. It still adds to the amount of item I have sold on the market, thus, increasing my prestige a little.
Some items cannot be sold since they do not belong to me. I cannot sell items that are not mine. I can, actually, but not via the Shop System. I need to access to the Black Market, but my prestige is probably too low.
Of course, it does not hurt to try.
"Black Market," I request, and nothing happens, indicating exactly what I have suspected. My Prestige is too low. Or perhaps, my access has been revoked. Either case, I will have to gain access to it again.
I continue to check what else I can do with the Shop System while waiting for Alex to return.
