"Z-Zander!" Alex stops me from actually killing Brute. Bruce.
I eye Alex and everyone in the room before grounding my wooden chair and returning to be seated as if nothing had happened. "What? He came at me with a knife. You all saw it, didn't you? So, this is like self-defense."
Everyone looks at Brute and notices the knife next to him. There are some chatters amongst the group of people, but many of them still agreed that it isn't really self-defense.
They are right. It is not. I just want to kill the moron for even threatening me. Whoever dares to make threats against me should have the power to back it up, or they will be in for a world of hurt.
I am not the same person this morning. The old me has not gone through the horrors that I have, and experiencing such things change a person.
Alex immediately check Brute to see whether he is dead or not. He isn't from all the twitching, but he will be drinking out of a straw for a while. Not that he has the chance to since the sky just turn red.
What I have feared has come. The Zoning. It is late, and it is of a great concern.
"W-what the hell is that!?" someone calls out from the window and points at the strange black tower in the distant. It wasn't there before. It is now. And from the tower, green fogs emerge.
Like everyone in the room, I also stare at it in disbelief. That is not the same dungeon as before. No. It is not. Everything is different now, and I am unsure who will survive the oncoming slaughters.
What kind of slaughters though? The first time around, it is zombies and ghouls, which are easily killed by a well place bullet to the head. This time, it is something else entirely.
The fog thickened, obscuring much of the neighborhood similar to a chilly misty morning. It is so high that even getting to the rooftop would be of no help. In fact, it is dangerous to stand outside now that the threat is unknown.
"Some kind of pollution?" Another classmate calls out and pulls up the window. "Hey you guys! Please get inside. Hurry!"
The person does not to say it twice, as everyone outside has already begun heading into the building, getting away from the encroaching green mist. I recall the first time around, it is black in color, as that is the color of the Ruler of Death.
Green is the color of Life. The Ruler of Life. That cannot be a coincidence, for Life and Death are sides of the same coin.
While I have never come face to face with the Ruler of Life before, I have heard plenty of things about her. She is like Poison Ivy if Poison Ivy merges with Harley Quinn. Why am I using DC references?
In any case, the Ruler of Life is here, and unlike Ruler of Death, I have no idea who she is. I look around the room, trying to remember who is not supposed to be there. Everyone looks somewhat familiar, as I have some impression of them.
That is natural since I have seen them every weekday at school after all.
"Alex," I call him, as the Fog of Evolution comes dangerously close to the school's ground, and sooner or later, it will fill the entire school. "Come with me to the cafeteria. We need more fire… power."
