"How… how did you do that!?" Alex insists on an answer as we vacate the rooftop. I refuse to give him a straight answer since I do not want to reveal anything right now. It is better for him not to know, at least not right now.
If the Zoning Event still happen, I will explain to Alex some important things. If it doesn't happen, then it doesn't happen, and I might see a future that could have been.
A future that could have been.
I can only hope.

"Hey Zan. Class's over a while ago. How long are you going to snooze?" Alex wakes me up, and I blink lazily before shaking my head to clear the haziness away.
I honestly do not remember how boring school is, and I am surprised to be back in school, sitting here and listening to the teachers rambling on about things that I have absolutely no use for. I have no need for Geometry and similar bullshits when I am fighting for every inch of my life.
Had been fighting.
A couple of hours have already passed, and the Zoning Event still has not happened. While I wish that it does not happen, but I fear the real reason behind that. The Rulers transcend space and time. There might be a chance that they have noticed something wrong in this new timeline, and thus, they decide to put a stop to their plans.
That means I cannot make use of my future knowledge as everything has changed, but is it for better or for worse? I am unsure, but I will face it all the same. Perhaps, this time around, I will not be alone.
"Sorry man. I didn't have a good sleep last night," I answer and stare out the window, watching all the girls practicing their cheerleading routine. They are cheering for the school's football team, and seeing them all lively like that, I wish that one day I can be as lively as them.
To forget everything and to live a normal and happy life. Is that possible for what I have been through and for what I have committed in the name of vengeance? I might believe the Rulers are true monsters for what they have done, but I am as much of a monster as them.
"Right," Alex snorts and follows my gaze to the field before smirking. "I am sure you are not dreaming about Lisa."
I blink and leer at Alex.
"Hah! I knew it!" Alex calls out and slaps the desk. "Give it up man. She's with James, and that dude is a fucking jackass. He hasn't given back all the stuffs that he had borrowed from me."
I take a moment to remember who Alex was talking about. Lisa and James. I think I might have a crush on Lisa, but that is the old me. I care nothing for her or her boyfriend now.
"Why do girls like guys like that?" I question with a smile, deciding to be a high school student.
