"Do you ever Dream to Dream in wonders of your imagination?"
Mary Price was a full-time artist loving her so-called job as an illustrator, she knew there was so much to learn about art. In her history class, she had to report the legendary Silver Fox. Such little information for a fascinating animal. It was currently noon as Mary and her friend Shelly were running late for their art class. The rain managed to catch up with them luckily they had their umbrellas to protect themselves from the rain. As Shelly ran to the college entrance Mary stopped in her tracks seeing a mysterious man with Silver hair and golden eyes walking up the entrance, she noticed right away that he didn't have an umbrella and his notebooks were getting soaking wet.
She couldn't just stand there and not do anything so she decided to run up to him instead. He was surprised jumping back as Mary held her umbrella tightly leaning it forward to cover his head letting the rain make contact with her body she smiled politely. Standing on the tip of her toes because he was so tall and she was short Mary was practically shaking.
"What are you doing miss? I'm fine without an umbrella, you're a bit short so you'll need it more than I do -."Mary shakes her head violently" No you'll get sick! You are in the same class as me, oh no your artwork is wet!"
"I said I don't need your help, leave me alone. I'm late for class." He pushed the umbrella covering her head closing her eyes tightly as he suddenly disappeared.
"Where did he go?"Mary looked around not seeing the guy at all maybe he was a ghost she can add that in her diary the scary ghost didn't want help.
She looked at her watch gasping realizing that she was late running to the entrance and into the building. Once she made it inside she headed straight to her history class, Mary finally reached her destination. She went inside the classroom apologizing for being late, the classroom was big maybe about 9 rows of chairs with a small desk that made it easier for them to do their work.
Mary sat somewhere in the middle opening her book bag and getting out a notebook and laptop just to get the report done she looked across from the seat and saw the guy whom she thought was a ghost sitting a few rows across from her writing away no textbook nothing that would allow him to research information.
"Fascinating" Mary covered her mouth instantly not realizing that she was talking loud as Professor Ciao shook his head continuing through his lesson.
Shelly yawned throughout the lesson lectures were boring and had no value but had information. Shelly leaned over to Mary whispering in her hair"Mary have you noticed that guy in our class? I've never seen him before he must be new?"
"Hmm he might be new, I never noticed he was in the class. He looks charming, oh that reminds me did you finish that report on the sliver fox?"
"I haven't started yet, I know I'm late but I got a major clay project I'm working on. You know I'm a busy girl, we shouldn't be talking a lot we got work to do."
"Mathias Thornton can you see me at my desk." Professor Ciao said in a serious tone.
It was rare for the Professor to call up students to his desk unless it was a serious problem that needed to be handled, the guy named Mathias stood up as he walked up to the Professor he lowered his head to whisper in his ear giving him a small piece of paper heading out the classroom.
Mary tilted her head slightly confused by the situation maybe he was finished for the day and wanted to go home; she couldn't blame him though high school was okay though college is surely tough. Mary focused on her report giving everything that she had, if she failed this class who knows what could happen it might lead her to drop out of college. That's something she doesn't want to do but if she couldn't afford it she would go back to technical school to start over.
Shelly nudged Mary looking at her with sparkling eyes" What's got your tongue in a twist you seem down What's the matter? Did you take your medicine!?"
Mary nodded quickly giving her a cheerful smile. Suddenly The bell rang Shelly waved Mary goodbye as she put her things away in her book bag. Professor Ciao placed a small note right in front of her. She opened up the small piece of folded paper her eyes looked at the writing closely.
"Hi there sorry for being cranky this morning I thought you were a lost little girl turns out you are a college student. I'm going to be gone for a couple of days do you think you can help me out? If you can then let's meet at the Library around 2 pm.-Mathias"
Mary thought she was dreaming but the note turned out to be real. She wondered what she'd get in return for this sudden approach. Maybe a date or better yet food Mary loved a nice ice cream cone to finish off the raveling day of college classes. Mary looked at the clock and noticed it was two o'clock she immediately got up and ran out of her class heading to the Library. Once she managed to get there she saw Mathias sitting down at an empty table reading a book noticing small little bruises on his hand and walking up to the table sitting next to him. Mathias closed his book looking at her "I'm surprised you came, so you willing to help me."
Mary nodded smiling at him "Gotta help a classmate somehow right? I know you said something about notes since you'll be out for a few days. Is it for art or history? "
"I would say art and history isn't so much of a problem. Have you finished your report yet?"
"Hmmm, not quite there are so many theories and false claims about what the Sliver fox is, it only makes me want to know more."
"See the sliver fox is a legendary creature their origin is from Japan. From what I heard they live in small shrines overtime the prayers that the sliver fox received grew making it well known. The silver fox is a rare species no one knows where it came from besides that it can change itself into a human."
Mary clapped silently "Wow you're very smart! You know so much info all I could find was the animal itself being connected with a regular fox. White fur and golden eyes..." She looked up at him seeing his features closely he somehow resembled the sliver fox itself.
Mathias took a hold of her hand "So you finally noticed my looks, Mary. "
"How do you even know my name? I think you are very good at makeup it makes you pop." Mary was startled by his gesture making her more confused than ever. Maybe Mathias was a crazy guy struggling with mental issues.
"You in my class it's hard not to hear your name. I'll help you with your report, you help me with some notes? No, I do not wear makeup this is my natural feature." Mathias shook her hand "I brought you some mochi from my home town let me know if you dislike them."
"Deal!"Mary shook his hand back letting go to grab the mochi and biting into it her taste buds exploded in the rich flavor. Mathias pets her head as they get started to do homework, hopefully, Mathias will tell her his secret to her one day.
