The alarm clock ringed causing Mary to jump out of bed to stretch. She held her head tightly feeling awful headache set in place, Mary couldn't seem to remember anything of what happened last night. All she could really remember from that day was Mathias walking her home talking to her like he knew for the longest time. A sudden knock was heard on her door as she opened it Shelly leaped towards Mary hugging the life out of her.
"Mary school is today are you going to get ready? Here's the notes for your supposedly hot boyfriend Mathias."
Mary blushed deeply "thank you Shelly! He's not boyfriend He's just a guy I'm going to go on a date with."
Shelly sat on her bed suddenly giving her a serious look"Do you remember anything that happened yesterday?anything at all?"
Mary looked away "to be honest with you I don't know myself. Sometimes I have flashbacks of myself but it's nothing I can remember doing in this life. It seems so long ago but I want to remember."
Shelly stood up placing her hand on her hips "Mary you have to tell me if you remember or not. Your life could be put in danger I want to protect you, your my ride to die friend. "
Mary grabbed Shelly's hands squeezing them firmly" Okay I'll admit it I remember everything! Even when Mathias said I was his wife I don't know if I should be happy or scared! You being a Tengu everything happened so fast well until I got captured by some demon."
Shelly smiled in excitement"seems like he didn't have the guts to erase your remember. He's to soft on you Mary even back then he always took care of you making sure you had everything even his love to be happy. The thing is your so tiny people would assume your a little girl instead of a pure grown up, when you got sick Mathias tried everything in his power to find medicine from both the human world and underworld but your little body couldn't take the medicine it made you feel worst than better. A few days later you died in his arms he was so depressed after your death Mathias didn't want to do anything nothing at all. Until we heard your faint heartbeat we knew right away that you was reborn but had forgotten memory's of your past life. I'm glad to have met you in middle school For Mathias he's always been around but just placed where you can't see him. Its a bit weird I know but he watched you in the distance you guys might've talked a couple of times in high school . Anyways I'm probably going to have to take you to the underworld to see Mathias he shouldn't be that busy."
"Wait but what about school!? Shelly you know how important."
Shelly suddenly grabbed her body "Its only going to be for a few minutes or more. Hold on tight!?" With that she leaped through the portal once again practically flying to Mathias location. Mathias was in a important meeting discussing how the clan should be run while he would be out the sliding door suddenly opened as shelly pushed Mary into the room closing the door.
Mary Stood there watching their eyes shift from mathias to her. Mathias took the pipe out of his mouth blowing smoke "Come here Mary"
Mary walked round the long table sitting next to Mathias looking down as he stared at her. She felt his hand on her shoulder bring her close to his body Mary looked up at him, Mathias smiled at her in reassure of everything was going to be alright.The Other leader of the Kappa Clan Yumi clearing her throat "So why is this Human suddenly here at our meeting explain Mathias?"
Mathias wrapped his arm Mary's Shoulder"She is my Wife Yumi, so if you dare be rude to her I'll rip your heart out. Better yet I would-" Mathias suddenly stopped feeling Marys hand against his.
"No use for such things it's okay Mathias" she gave him a smile as his eyes soften.
Yumi slammed her fist on the table startling Mary "So you didn't tell the other demons about your human wife. I won't say it's forbidden but you know what we are don't you Mrs.Mary."
"Yes I do, but I'm sure Mathias had his reasons for not telling everyone about me. I don't even know who I am anymore."
Mathias kissed Mary's forehead"Your still you, you just have a lost memory that is all Mary. I'll show you show picture after this, Anyways since I'll be gone I'm going to need you to be on your guard for kitsune though we might be in the same bloodline we are rivals. I'm going to need a favor from you I want you to keep a look out on especially the men flirting with her. "
Mary slowly closed her eyes leaning against Mathias. All she could think about at this moment was resting it seemed long and kinda boring.
"Seems like the human feel asleep, don't worry I shall keep my word." Yumi stood up along with her fellow members as Mathias carrying Mary did the same both clans stood a bow heading out the room.
Mary's eyes slowly finding herself in a huge room fully decorated with from the ceiling to floor. She sat up seeing Mathias sleep next to her , rubbing her eyes to clear her vision of what she may think of as a illusion, but turns out to be real. Mathias sat up suddenly grabbing the scrapbook next to him handing it to Mary.
She grabbed it setting it down on her lap "I'm assuming that there's pictures of us in here right?"
Mathias yawned bringing her closer to him"yes so many only if us well expect for our child Yoko."
Mary blushed looking at him "we Have a child!? Oh no I was there for our child!" Mary felt his hand on her looking up at him.
"Mary you missed nothing you was there for everything. As for I barely had time for our son. He was only a teenager when you died it hit him pretty hard so I gave him space. Now than let's take a look at the pictures I wanted to show you."
Mathias pulled her in-between his legs as he opened the scrapbook book the first picture she was herself and Mathias smiling which looked like wedding. There was another one but they was in a flower field the pictures she saw touched her heart tremendously seeing how happy she was with Mathias. Mathias lifted her chin up to him kissing her, she felt a liquid go down her throat. Mart gave him a confuse look she felt drowsy an weak so suddenly passing out in his arms.
"Forgive me Mary this is the only way I can truly erase your memory about yesterday and today. I love you Mary."
Mathias kissed her forehead as tears erupted from his face. He didn't want to but he felt like it was to much for Mary all at once. He promise to take his time with her not rush a single thing about his relationship for that he promised her long ago.
