Building a small stockpile of chapters so I'm putting out 1 chapter every 2 days, should be done on Saturday, then back to normal.
...........................
The game was split into 4 selectable Kingdoms, overall though it had around 15 active kingdoms, people weren't able to select more than 4 kingdoms because the others hadn't been found as of yet, they would become available when they have been found by others, but that will have to wait for the later game because a good half of them are passed various maps ranging from level 10-100.
Each player started at level 1, with 5 in each of the stats - Strength, Endurance, Agility, Wisdom, Intelligence and Luck, each level they will get 5 stat points in which they can spend in any of the stats apart from Luck.
The classes are Fighter, which comes with either two 1-handed swords, one 2-handed sword, or a sword and shield.
Archer, Can use a bow and arrow, or crossbow and crossbow bolts.
Thief, Can use daggers and small throwing objects.
Mage, Uses staffs and magic books to supplement spells.
Each class has several hidden classes that will be available later on in the game.
Ronan had made several accounts with each class, he didn't really care about races as they only gave a small bonus to certain stats, he needed to find bugs before other people and luckily the game was partly AFK so he didn't need to do a lot, he also needed to tweak the amount of exp that a person would receive whilst offline, currently they would gain your average exp per hour online for every hour offline and that number would change per day, but it needed to be lowered a slight amount to balance it out more.
Ronan had spent around 30 hours playing the game, while he put in 100's of hours coding it along with other people who helped, he also funded the game by himself which can be considered an achievement in and of itself.
....
Ronan took a break for the next few days, he spent all his time doing nothing, just being lazy for once.
His game steadily took off during those few days, he had over 50k downloads in the first few days, most of them came from his app as shown on the analytic, whereas only 1/3 came from the advertisements that he had posted online.
'What to do now?' Ronan had nothing to do on his forth day of doing nothing and he was bored out of his mind, he spent 1 hour talking to his sister at night and that was pretty much it.
'Why not play your game?' The system suggested, not being sarcastic for once.
'I spent hundreds if not thousands of hours making it and then I even played it to find out some bugs.' Ronan seriously didn't want to play his game.
'How about your competitor's games? You can look at how they are doing and find ways to improve it.' The system had another sensible idea.
'Well I suppose.' Ronan picked up his phone and browsed the app store, not really looking for any game, in particular, just something that would interest him.
In the end, he went with a civilization simulation game, he spent the next few hours playing the game over and over again, he had won some and lost some, but at least he had a way to pass the time, he had 2 days left until he had to get back into the grind, those patches weren't going to create, advertise and release themselves.
Over the next day Ronan found various games, he enjoyed most of them but disliked a couple, there were even games like his only with smaller worlds and not as developed, he even found a few ways to increase the ease of the game.
He took a look at various ways to port his game onto PC, although having a game on mobile was convenient, it was often the other way round, where popular games on the PC are ported over to mobile.
After looking for hours, he made a schedule, he would release his first patch on the game in 1 weeks time, nothing big just some bug updates, after that he will spend half his time creating his first expansion pack which would be released in 1 months time and the other half would be spent on porting his game over and when his game is finished being ported over to PC he would then spend that time on the expansion pack, saving a couple of hours or so every week for routine bug updates.
After that, he got into bed and rang his sister.
They talked for 2 hours that night before Ronan said goodbye and went to sleep.
....
As normal, Ronan woke up at 6 AM and went for a run, he had gotten used to it ever since the system set it as one of his missions.
'So wheres the missions at?' Ronan questioned.
'Well you make quite the amount of money, and this almighty one is here to help you with that and right now your in-between several places, you make a lot, but you spend a lot, so I can't really help you until you make either double what you are now or spend half as much and since you spend so much on your family I doubt that is going to go down, so make more money and try not to spend more, then I can give you more missions, if not you'll have to keep on waiting.' The system replied.
'And why is that?' Ronan questioned.
'Want a mission now? I can give you a few examples, such as Co-operate with XXX company, Learn XXX Skill, Promote XXX app, they don't sound so bad, but the amount of money you have to sink into them are I don't know, maybe $10,000's so good luck with that, they also come with timers so if you want to be all high and mighty carry on.' The system wanted to knock down Ronan a peg.
'Fine.' Ronan had stopped talking to the system and took a look at his analytics, he had gained another 5k people on his game, currently the game doesn't make a lot of money, it also isn't P2W as the only thing you can spend money on at the moment is cosmetics for your characters, such as weapon skins, character skins, mount skins, etc. They all have a fixed price of $3, offering 4 different skins per day, with a rotation every 3 weeks and each weekend has a special offer where all skins on offer are discounted to $1.
