Ronan spent the next few weeks focusing on his game, he would be contacted by Steve every now and then to provide him updates on how it was going, nothing major had happened yet.
It was in the pre-court stage, there were talks going on between the two parties, they hadn't had a formal sit down as of yet, it was the lawyers of the two parties talking with each other.

Inside of Steve's Office were 4 people, Steve was sitting across from Three individuals, Each wearing what Steve assumed to be Italian tailored suits, they were discussing the case between there clients and Steves.
"These are the necessary forms required for court if you wish to go down that route." Steve slid the papers to the opposing counsel showing them that he was 100% ready to go to court in case they didn't agree to Steves conditions.
They took the papers and read through them.
"This can only get you into court, there's nothing to prove your accusations." The man in the middle of the three replied it was obvious this person was in control of the case and the others were assisting.
"Are you sure?" Steve replied before sliding them over a file.
Inside the file were several screenshots showing the difference between the balance Ronan was getting paid and the balance Ronan was getting paid, of course with all the key information being redacted, excluding the amount of money.
"So, this is it? This is all you have? You want to go against me with this little information?" The man replied with a smirk on his face.
"Well this is the start of it, you know two things will happen from this case, if it goes to court you will not only pay out the money but the reputation of the company you're representing will also go down the drain and then they may end up changing the law firm representing them." Steve hit the nail on the head, the man stopped smirking and instead gave Steve a death glare.
"Well, that's true, but that's only if you win and with this little evidence even a god-like lawyer like you would have a slim chance at winning this, especially with this." The man was right, with only this it wasn't going to win the case.
"Which part do you think will not be sufficient?" Steve knew what they were going to say, it was the other app that was used to track the traffic on, but what they didn't know was the app had previously been used in many lawsuits and was recognized as being trustworthy, it also had to be noted that the government had access to the code at all times, it was monitored under strict super-vision and everyone who has viewed it had to sign an NDA to prevent competitors from using parts of the code for their own apps.
"Obviously the analyzing app, if you don't disclose it then it won't hold up in court and then it's an easy win." The man started to smile.
That was until Steve slid another file over the table.
"...." The entire opposition was left dumbfounded, they didn't think it would be that app, but it was.
The point that left them dumbfounded the most was that the app wasn't available to everyone, you had to know someone who had it, that was how the app spread around, not the typical you search and download it.
"So, you were saying? I seem to remember that you were saying something along the lines of, 'Oh look at this easy win of a case we have, why don't you pay for my fees to.' anyway back to the case, you'll end up paying out anyway." Steve was determined to win this case, no matter how low the success rate was, it was the first time that he received a call from Jake about helping him.
"..." They were left speechless about how Steve mocked them.
"Well, what is it that you want?" The man was forced to retreat, he didn't have a strong case now if it was any other app then he could but not with this one, after all, it was monitored by the government.
"That would be up to my client, but what I want to know is who took the money, how much did he take in total and what you're going to do to prevent it from happening again." Steve replied based on what Ronan wanted, Ronan wasn't most concerned about the money, he hadn't lost anything since before he released his app so he had plenty of money.
"We'll have a talk with our clients before getting back to you." The man stood up before leaving.
After they left Steve called Ronan

"Hello?" Ronan got a call from Steve right before he was going to sleep.
"Well, we have some good news and bad news, the good news is that you're probably going to get your money, the bad news is that they probably wont agree to all of your conditions." Steve was straight forward.
"So what I need from you is the specific conditions you want and the ones you don't really care for." Steve asked.
"Sure, in reality, I just want to know who did it and I want the money." Ronan had made up his mind, he was going to give the money to his sister, so he had to get it back.
"Sure, the others your not so bothered about them then?" Steve had to make sure.
"Yes." Ronan said, before they said goodbye and hung up the phone.
Ronan went to sleep, but overnight some people were having a hard time.

Over at the advertising company they were having problems dealing with the aftermath, not because of the court case, that was easy for them, it was because one of the directors had been skimming money from several smaller partners without their knowledge, if not for the court case then they wouldn't have noticed anything.
