After discussing the various aspects of Ronans game they finished the meal, said goodbye and went back to their dorms.
It was 4 PM when Ronan arrived back at his dorm, he had received the phone numbers for the accountant and the analyst from Jake and he was preparing to speak with them.
'I'll take the accountant first, I doubt that the advertising agency would skim from me but you never know, these days even people are scamming the elderly for money.' Ronan had a good opinion about the advertising agency, after all the deal was great and the reviews were good as well, although the reviews could've been faked or bought.
"Hello, is this Andrew?" Ronan dialled the first number.
"Yes, and this is?" The man on the other end of the phone replied.
"Hi, I'm Ronan, my friend Jake told me about you, he said that you were a great accountant and that I should get one for myself." Ronan then went on to introduce his 'job'.
After a lengthy conversation Andrew knew pretty much everything about Ronans 'job'
"Okay, can you send me all the details? Then I can go over everything to make sure it is in proper order, also I'll need the contact details of all of your suppliers." Andrew went through what he would do for Ronan so that Ronan knew exactly what he would expect from his accountant.
"Sure, I'll send it to you tonight, in around 2 hours when everything is sorted." Although Ronan said he needed 2 hours, in reality, he had everything ready, he just wanted to talk to the analyst first incase anything happened to the amount of money he was making, then he would either need to tell Andrew and maybe he could sort it out for him or add it to the records himself, he also needed to sign a physical contract with him.
"Okay, but before that, you need to do either one of two things or both." Andrew explained to Ronan that he could sign various contracts with him, both physical and digital, he could sign a digital one now and then a physical one when they meet, or Ronan would have to wait until they signed a physical one before sending the files to Andrew.
"Ok." Ronan accepted signing a digital one now and then a physical one later.
After everything was done and the NDAs were signed Ronan was given as long as he needed to send the info, in the meantime he rang the analyst.
"Hello, I'm Ronan, is this Rasheed?" Ronan introduced himself first this time.
"Yes, what can I do for you?" Rasheed replied.
"Jake told me you were an analyst that could help me with analyzing." Ronan then went on to explain everything Jake had told him to Rasheed.
"Sure I can help, so you want me to be a third part analyst to make sure that what they are saying you are getting is what it should be instead of them skimming money from you." Rasheed was straight to the point like Andrew and Jake.
"Yes, although I'm not too sure how that works." Ronan wasn't too sure on how Rasheed was going to help him, he didn't know everything about everything.
Rasheed proceded to explain it to Ronan, what would happen is Rasheed would give Jake a link in which he could download a plug-in, this plug-in will then measure how many people will use your app within the time that has been set and then put it into several charts, based on several criteria, who visited? Were they returning? When did they last visit? How long do they stay online for? etc. this would then be put onto all sorts of charts to make it easier to see, they can then also sort it into different advertisements, since Ronan was also advertising his game on the messaging app this would help to count how many people were looking at ads he would get paid for and how many people were getting ads which he wouldn't get paid for.
Using this information they would then be able to count the number of people viewing ads that he would get paid for and this would then be compared the amount he was getting from the advertising agency to see how much he is getting and how much he should be getting, the plug-in is updated constantly compared to the advertising agency which is only updated each month so the leeway for the payment was roughly $100.
If they were near the same then it should be legit, if it was off by more than $500 and has been happening for more than 1 month then it would be worth a law-suit, in the best case Ronan would be given the money owed and have his lawyer fees paid for by his advertising agency, worst case would be Ronan having to pay for lawyer fees, but it would be no doubt that Ronan would win.
Ronan proceeded to download the plug-in and install it, it would need to run for an entire month before he could get any results, in the meantime, he sent all his details to Andrew and he got underway with doing whatever accountants do.
For the next few weeks Ronan focussed back onto his game, he was almost done with his first expansion to be released in beta. He had talked with Jake who had requested beta keys on several occasions, Ronan had also given out beta-keys to several medium-small sized guilds in-game and posted some on his twitter, he had also expanded his beta-servers so there was one in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
