'Huh'
That was Ronan's first reaction to the size of the house Jake had, he had expected something large, but it was a mansion, with countless rooms, windows, and a garden so large you couldn't see the end of it.
Ronan dragged Jake out of the taxi after paying the fare.
'Damnit, can you lose some weight or something.' Despite Jake having a somewhat small frame he was still heavy.
'Why don't you build more muscle.' The system retorted.
'Damnit, you were gone for like 2 months, you know I had some real peace and now you pop up and starting insulting me, really not fair.' Ronan did start to miss the system after a couple of months, but now that was out the window, all Ronan wanted was some peace and quiet, especially with Ronan being as drunk as he is.
Ronan slowly dragged himself and Jake towards the front door.
'Damnit, I don't even have a key.' Ronan found another problem, he had no way of getting into the house.
Ronan put Jake down and leant him against the wall while searching his pockets for a key.
'Gum, Wallet, Knife? Huh probably shouldn't piss off Jake, a key.' Ronan found various items inside Jakes pockets.
Ronan turned the key and pushed the door open, 'Damnit, wherein the hell am I supposed to deposit Jake now.'
Ronan found the living room and put Jake down on it while he searched for a room.
'So it's not on the ground floor, probably the big door on the first floor.' Ronan looks inside of all the rooms inside Jakes house on the ground floor. 'A bit weird to have 2 kitchens though.'
Jake looked through various rooms on the first floor, most of them were covered in dust, but there was a few that were well maintained, one of them had to be Jakes.
'Time to drag him upstairs now...' Ronan walked downstairs towards the living room where he left Jake, only to discover that Jake had disappeared.
'Damnit, why do I keep saying damnit as well...' Ronan was annoyed.
'Because your an idiot.' The system chimed in when Ronan was the most pissed off as usual.
"Shut up." Ronan actually it said instead of thinking it.
Realizing what he said he went back to looking for Jake in one of the tens if not hundreds of rooms in the house.
'Not the kitchens, not the bathrooms, not the several living rooms on the left side or the several dining rooms.' Ronan spent a lot of time looking in the rooms only to not find Jake.
Ronan searched the entire ground floor twice, unfortunately not finding Jake, but the bad thing was that he didn't see Jake.
'Back up the stairs, I'm going to kill Jake when I find him, why'd he have to buy a house with 100 stairs, it's a bit much.' Ronan was extremely pissed off now.
He skipped all the rooms that were covered in dust before and went to the rooms which seemed like someone at least lived in them from time to time.
'So not the master bedroom.' All the rooms had the same king-size bed with various paintings probably from famous people not like Ronan cared, except from what appeared to be the master bedroom, it had a 2 king-size beds, and it was littered with items made from gold and silver or platinum, Ronan isn't skilled enough to tell the difference.
'So he's there.' He was in what appeared to be the simplest guest room, not painting on the walls and a king-size bed, there wasn't any luxury you could see in the other guest rooms, no grand walk-in wardrobes, no nothing, just a king-size bed and a chest of drawers.
Ronan left him there and went into the room next to his, it was more luxurious but Ronan didn't care, he was just too tired to think about anything, so he got into bed without even undressing himself and went to sleep.
...
The next morning he woke up 'What did I do last night?' Ronan had a pounding headache, he didn't want to wake up, he wanted to sleep away the pain but unfortunately, he was too hungry, they had spent the entire night drinking but they didn't really eat apart from the meal Ronan had with his family.
'Looks like I'm Mr. popular today.' Ronan's phone started ringing, he picked it up but after looking at all the missed calls and messages he wanted to put it down and go back to sleep.
His mother and sister had managed to leave a total of 129 messages and phone calls, he decided to pick it up, to stop them from worrying about him even more.
"Hello." He was still sluggish, so it took him some effort to even say those words.
"Where have you been? Are you okay? Why didn't you pick up your phone?" Alex was rattling questions off at Ronan because he never came home.
"I'm fine, I'll be home later I stayed over at my friend Jakes house, you remember Jake, he was the one I told you about from College." Ronan started to explain everything that happened that night, leaving out a couple of details such as how he lost Jake and the size of the house, he didn't want to make his mother suspicious of Jake.
After putting down the phone Ronan walked into one of Jakes kitchens and looked around for food to eat.
'So he's got all the ingredients and they don't seem to be out of date so that's a positive.' He started making an English breakfast, bacon, eggs, beans, sausage, hash browns and toast.
Ronan finished making the food just in time for Jake to wander into the kitchen, "So you're doing what?" Jake was caught by surprise, he didn't even remember going home let alone Ronan also being here.
"Making breakfast want some?" Ronan offered Jake the food, he could just as easily make another.
"Sure." Jake took the plate and Ronan went back into the kitchen to make some more.
'Why did he say yes, I'm really hungry as well.' Ronan was sad at losing his breakfast just like that.
'Don't offer next time idiot.' The system chimed in once again.
'Damnit, just be quiet now.' Ronan asked, he didn't want to get into an argument with something that isn't rechnically real.
