After Alex's birthday everyone went back to doing what they were doing before, they would have dinner at 1 PM every day, Ronan would spend most of his time coding his new game and doing a few little bug updates when he got bored, his sister would watch/study at the same time, while Alex spent her time relaxing, she took a couple of days off since Ronan had come home.
Elena had told her mother about the money, she made up a story about how she got the money, she had taken a part-time job helping others study online, she put on an act in front of her mother.
Several days later and it was time for them to have a day out.
Ronan dressed in a black t-shirt with blue jeans, Elena in a light blue skirt paired with her garnet necklace that Ronan had bought her and her onyx bracelet, Alex dressed in her black dress with her jade necklace and a pair of amethyst earrings.
"So where do you want to go?" Ronan asked although he had lived here he didn't use to go outside to eat much so he didn't know any restaurants nearby, in the end, they chose a Korean BBQ restaurant, it was reasonably close by.
"Mother you know where it is?" They had all gotten into the car but they made the mistake of not knowing how to get there, Ronan had to use his GPS on his phone to get directions.
25 minutes later then they had arrived, it said 15 minutes on his GPS but they made a few wrong turns but they ended up making it anyway.
They walked into the restaurant, it was in a Korean style, the waiters were all Korean, even most of the people inside were Korean.
"Hello, table for 3?" The Waiter asked.
"Yes please." Alex answered they were guided to a table with a view.
"Is this okay?" The waiter asked.
"Perfect," Alex replied, the waiter handed them some menus with various meats and vegetables they could order, it was in both Korean and English.
10 minutes later the waiter came back and asked what meats and vegetables they wanted.
They ordered a wide variety of meats and vegetables, from pork belly to chicken and bell peppers to mushrooms.
They all ate a hearty meal, eating as much as possible, even ordering more dishes than what they had planned to have.
As they were leaving Ronan noticed someone sitting on another table, it was Jake, he didn't really look like he was having a good time, but Jake didn't seem to notice Ronan, so Ronan sent him a text message.
'Hey, Jake, enjoying your meal?' Ronan sent.
Jake immediately sat up straight, looking around to see if he can see Ronan.
'Near the door' Ronan sent.
Jake saw him and sent him a pleading gaze.
'Want me to help you out?' Ronan asked.
'Sure, but it has to be something big or else they won't let me leave.' Jake replied.
'How big? Bus crash and why don't you want to sit with them?' Ronan asked.
'Naah, a simple car crash would do and they're my family, but more like vultures trying to please me, that's all you need to know.' Jake replied, to which Ronan walked outside and waved his family back to his car giving them the excuse that he was going to see a friend.
"JAKE, YOUR CAR. OH MY GOD, YOUR CAR." Ronan spent the next few minutes shouting into his phone to make sure that everyone at jakes table would be able to hear him.
To which Jake excused himself from the table and walked outside.
"So, you really don't like them do you?" Ronan asked.
Jake was startled a bit, he didn't think Ronan would wait for him.
"So what are you doing here?" Ronan didn't get an answer from his first question so he changed the subject.
"Taking a break and my family originated from here so they have a spare house I can use to spend some time to myself, but that lot was waiting for me here, someone probably told them about me being here and now they are trying to suck up to me." Jake vented a little.
"Want to get a drink somewhere?" Ronan wanted to lighten up the mood a little.
"Sure." Jake replied before they set off down the street, it was fairly quiet as they walked towards the nearest bar.
As they walked into an unknown bar they noticed the decor, it was a rather high-class bar for the neighbourhood it was located in, they had leather chairs placed around small tables, with many waiters.
"So we're not staying here right?" Ronan asked thinking, 'Somewhere this high class, how am I supposed to afford this.' To which the system retorted 'Well if you spent more time coding and less time socializing you could afford a bar like this.'
It gave Ronan quite the surprise, he had forgotten about his system since it had been around 2 months since it had last spoken to him.
"Why wouldn't we? I'll pay for it." Jake said while Ronan was looking off into space.
"What did you say?" Ronan asked for clarification. "We'll stay, I'll pay." Jake said.
"Are you sure you can afford it?" Ronan asked.
"Yes, I can even afford to buy the bar." Jake clarified for Ronan.
"Oh." They sat down and Jake ordered them 2 whiskies on the rocks.
"Whisky?" Ronan asked, he hadn't had whisky before, it was kinda expensive compared to other drinks and you get so little in the end.
"Yes, you can change if you want, they probably sell all sorts here." Jake answered.
"Nope, you ordered it so I'll just have to drink it." Ronan answered.
They spent the entire night drinking and talking, Jake found out all sorts about Ronan's family, while Ronan learned a little about Jakes, not much but at least something.
Ronan was the soberest of the two despite both of them drinking quite a bit, he called a taxi and Jake him an address, they both got into the taxi before heading towards Jakes house.
