"It never occured to me that you would make a move that goes against the norm lady Genevive."
"..." So even with the reason I gave him, it still wasn't enough huh... When Genevive was about to talk, the prince suddenly spoke.
"But, I find that answer totally different."
"What is that supposed to mean your highness?" she gave a cute ignorant look.
The Prince almost had the urge to laugh but he thought better anyway. "The Genevive I knew, was someone who loves to order people around and make the servants bow to her even more than they bow to royalty. She cherishes riches and even makes it hard for her servants. She doesn't want any mishaps for her and make sure that everything must be done perfectly even in the smallest detail if the matter is for her. Actually there are a lot of things."
Every word that came out of the prince's mouth was true. And every single one of it made her realize how bad her reputation is infront of everyone. And that is something she wants to change. And it's not too late. She hoped.. But how did he know that?
"Ahh.. That Genevive.. That's exactly what I want to change.."
"Are you sure that's the reason?" The prince asked although, he did have proof earlier but he just couldn't stop but ask.
"Yes. It is your highness" Genevive answered with eyes full of determination.
For the prince, he could determine if a person was lying or not. And this girl was quite admirable he found it fascinating how people can change.
"Well since that's your reason, I don't see why I should stop you. So I'm considering it. But, if anyone else sees this, I'm warning you. You are going to be in deep trouble."
Hearing that, Genevive almost jumped but she had to keep her calm. She thanked the prince and promise not to let anyone else know about this.
"By the way your highness, Why did you come back here?"
The prince remembered he had left something in the library so he told Genevive about it.
"Oh is that so... Then I shall help you your highness."
It was a bit suspicious to him to ever hear Genevive saying that but he thanked her as he nodded his head "Thank you."
They went to the library to search for the necklace. Then suddenly out of nowhere, a book with gold Lining caught both of their eyes. The flicker of light hit their eyes.
They went closer and beside it they saw the necklace. Genevive took the book and Gabriel took his necklace.
The book was about Charms. The prince looked at Genevive. Genevive looked at it as if it was her first time seing it. Her eyes showed interest and they were shining.
"You seem pretty interested in that book. It's just a book about charms.."
"Do you know this your highness? Can you tell me what these are?" Genevive sensed his actions.
"Yes, I do. I would tell you the story but it's getting dark. Maybe I'll tell you tomorrow about it." Gabriel smiled at her albeit.
Genevive really didn't focus and listened to the prince's words clearly as she was busy investigating the book in her hands. She traced the beautiful designs of the book. It was colored gold and had weird looking letters surrounding it. She was shining brighltly and Gabriel seemed to be caught in some kind of trance. Looking at the little beauty infront of him. He never saw this side of Genevive before. All she was before was being clingy and smiling happily but her eyes were different back then.
Now he was certain he was seing a very different person.
"I think it is time for me to leave lady Genevive"
Genevive stopped and nodded.
"Have a safe trip back to the palace your majesty." She the curtsied and Gabriel bowed.
As soon as he was outside the door he realized how different she really is. That curtsy, that smile, those eyes, and the book she was holding was the book their parents told them ever since young.. The book of charms. Could it be that she forgot about it since the accident?. No that can't be it, if she did forget then she would've forgot about everyone... Something is really fishy here..
Genevive was relieved that the prince chose to consider her actions. If he didn't she would certainly be in a very very big trouble.
'Wait did he say he was going to tell me the story tomorrow? Oh right, I forgot he's going to come here for three weeks..'
After the prince left, and the servants were done eating, Genevive took the book from the library read it until she fell asleep.
The next morning was the same. Genevive felt weird she has only spent like two days here yet she felt like she was home. She felt safe and secure and just comfortable. She got to know the servants, which in her old world was already her habbit everytime a new maid arrives there.
Any normal day to Genevive was when she goes to the library, read for a couple of hours, her doctor arrives in the morning for an early checkup then comes back in the afternoon to train her. Train her martial arts, and then read and rest. Now there was no one to check her health and train her light magic but the prince did come though.
The prince arrive that afternoon after she finished her training in the training hall. The servants were all confused about their miss's actions. If it was reading they could consider because they knew that the little miss always loved to read but never train. Even when her father forced her to train for future measures she threw a tamtrum and said she didn't ever want to touch any sword or arrow.. But regardless they were only servants they couldn't go against their masters.
She was lucky that the prince didn't see her train. If he did then she's gonna be in another trouble. They spent their time in the library while Prince Gabriel told Genevive the story. Then she looked at the book in her hand. There still some things she didn't know about though and asked the prince this and that.
"I didn't know that charms existed in this world.." Genevive accidentally muttered her thoughts aloud.. That sentence gave a lot of questions to the prince. And it confused him..
Genevive was flustered and she covered her mouth the prince noticed her actions and he thought there was no doubt that she didn't misuse the words it meant she really was a different person...
