Chapter 25 - 25 Don't Be Too Hard on Yourself

The prince was stunned at the sight of that genuine smile. Genevive's eyes were sparking like the stars at night. And her pearly white teeth were exposed and seemed to blind the person whenever they look at the direction..

Genevive then turned back to looking at the little lake and said in a gentle tone..

"What I mean is; That's not being childish at all. You are brothers after all and, no one said that brother should always be in harmony with each other anyway.. You know Prince George, you don't always need to concern yourself with what people think of your brother. Your brother is still a person, there are a lot of things he can do and a lot of things he can't do. A lot of things his good at and a lot of things his terrible at. Just like you, he's also trying to give his best. Because just like you, there are still some areas he still needs to improve.. You don't always need to compare yourself with others since everyone is unique in their own ways. Some siblings have different personalities yet they have the same love for each other. Kind of what you and your brother share.." She then turned to the prince who was trying to get back on the ground because of what he heard.. When he heard the words 'Love like what you and your brother shared' He turned to the little lady with a confused look on his face..

Genevive saw the question in his eyes so she explained. But she couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Hahaha.. You guys are really blockheads about feelings are you? Haha. I meant the bond you and your brother share. The love you have for both your parents. Look there has been a lot of errors between you twins. So if you want to fix it, then talk to each other. Don't let time pass you by. Time doesn't wait it's always up to you if you move. Don't be too hard on yourself just because you want to be better. Just be who you are , that way, you can stand out.." Genevive reavealed one last smile and curtsied to the prince and was turning to leave..

" Lady Genevive" The prince said suddenly when he realized she was leaving. He understood now, and he wanted to follow the girl's advice since it was really great and she looked really wise.. The little girl turned with a "Hmm?".

"Thank you for the advice.... By the way, how do you know my brother has things he can't do?"

"Heh, because there was this one time when he visited me here and I was carrying a mouse in my hands. I just found that mouse in a corner and he was startled and said 'Ahh get that thing away from me! There I'm sure he can't handle roddents very well." She laughed. "Anyway, I should take my leave your highness."

"George, you can call me George" Prince George said.. Genevive was startled at the change. Calling one's name in this country means showing closeness.. Well since he's gonna be my brother in law, I guess its okay.. But... I think it would be better if..

"I don't think its appropriate..Your highness"

"I'm going to be your brother in law aren't I? So call me by my name.. It's better of you get used to it early.." Prince George said.. Although in the past, he really hated her because of her attitude and his brother hates her, so why would he even like the girl.. But now his considering everything he thought about her because he also noticed the change in her as well did his brother.

Genevive smiled as she couldn't refuse so she said. "Please also call me Genevive, Prince George" The prince nodded and Genevive turned and left. Suddenly there was this weird feeling growing in his chest. His heart was beating fast, a weird feeling he had never ever felt before.

'Huh, what an odd feeling.. Maybe it's because of the wind. George.. Don't think about it' He thought.

A moment later, his twin brother arrived at the garden..

"George..." Prince Gabriel couldn't think of anything to say..

He was patiently waiting at the far side of the garden until Genevive appears. When she did, he asked her.

"What should I say to him?" The only answer he got from her was.

"Just be yourself your highness, everything is going to be alright." And a sweet smile on her lips. And he could only say 'okay'. Although he was in turmoil. He went to the garden where he saw his brother with a faint smile on his lips. It was the first time he saw him with a smile on his lips without any particular reason. He saw him laughing yes, smiling at his parents but his eyes weren't that of a happy boy. He could clearly see some unknown negative feelings beneath that smile. He couldn't help but feel hurt when he remembered how he treated his brother.

He felt regret..

"George.." He slowly paced forward ignoring the look on his brother's face.. The smile he was wearing earlier was now gone.

"Look, I'm sorry. I never thought you'd feel that way towards me.. I'm sorry I wasn't a great brother to you. I just wanted yo be as good as you.." When he said that George was filled with confusion.

"As good as me? Where'd you hear that?" George asked.

"You have to ask? Hah.. Okay, ever since we were young, you always had everyone's attention. Our private head teachers for etiquette, music and art always had your attention.. So I thought, I want to be like my brother. Yet I'm still second to you when it comes to art.." there was a little smile on his face. Something that is rarely seen. And his childish face complimented it despite his somewhat childish masculine face, it actually made him cute..

"Really? Who was the one who got a general's attention in or sparring lessons, archery, and our private teachers for etiquette and music?" George replied with a slight smile. His soft features became softer as he smiled even just a little.

"Is that really what you remember?" Gabriel asked. "Because from what I remember, you were hailed a demigod in music. I never had any talents in that area." He added.

George just laughed. "I'm sure that's what I remember.. But they did hail you a demigod of War and charms though.." They both looked at each other and laughed.
