When they stopped laughing George spoke first.
"Anyway, you don't need to say sorry for earlier. I should be the one to say that.. Heh. I really thought you hated me so you.." George coughed a dry cough but Gabriel knew exactly what it meant. He patted his brother's shoulder and both of them looked at each other.
With that, they were already in good terms.. Boys tend to forgive easily not like girls who always need to cry their heart out first to be able to forgive the other party. Some people even beat up the crap out of each other just so they could feel better. Well that's the case of the world were in now. Boys don't fight physically over trivial matters. If it really does matter most than any other things, like love; boys can do a lot of damage..
But anyway back to the story..
George spoke again after a short while. "Brother. Say, did you see how Genevive changed? Like a lot?"
"Yeah, I did. I thought there was something different about her. I just could not put my tongue into it. She is way different than she was before.. Ever notice how she never clings to me anymore?"
"Yeah, wait you didn't insult her to make her hate you right?"
"What?! No way. People might call me a demigod of war but I don't bully girls. Actually I did ask her about it. Don't get me wrong though.. Want to know what she said to me?"
Seing that expectant look on his brothers usually emotionless face he chuckled and continued.
"She said, she doesn't like the marraige arrangement because I hate it so she thought it was a better option.." They both looked at each other and laughed.
Not far away from them, the little girl was watching them above a tree sitting quietly. She felt that she just achieved a very big score on her test she was pretty proud of herself to ever make the brothers close to each other. The moment she heard her name, an evil smirk appeared on those lips of hers and then vanished. A moment later after watching the boys talking as much as they wanted to she left the tree extremely stealth.
Just as she was walking along the cobblestoned path she thought.
'haah.. What a good I girl I was today. I helped those helpless cold brothers feel brotherly love towards each other.. I feel so accomplished today! It feels good to help those two!' Suddenly she heard a rustle.. Followed by numerous rustles she sensed something shining in the corners of her eyes.
'What the- Oh Sh*t! Arrows!! I gotta warn those two princes!' She ran towards the princes were. There were no guards with them as the whole castle was covered by walls.
'Who would've thought that someone would be so shameless to ever use such underhanded methods. Specially on kids! How shameless can these people get?' Genevive thought.
As she expected she saw them talking leisurely not even caring about the things happening. She was panting heavily, as Genevive ran towards them the princes clearly heard her panting like ten meters away. They turned to her both had expressions of worry and question on their faces. Just as they were about to talk, she stopped them she already knew what they were going to tell her.
*Pant *pant "Your Highnesses, *pant. We.. *pant. Need to go. *pant."
The boys looked at her as if they saw a ghost. Why would they go? Why did she run? Didn't"t she know it was bad for her health? Does she not want to live anymore? She has a weak body constitution for pete's sake!
"Genevive what are you-" Gabriel wanted to ask but Genevive interrupted him.
"No. *pant. Time to. *pant. Explain" With that she grabbed their hands and pulled them to duck.
At first they were struggling but then the second attempt, the strength she used was not normal so they knew there was something going on. As soon as they ducked down, they heard a sound peircing the air. The arrow landed on a place where prince Gabriel's head was supposed to be earlier.
They looked at the arrow for some time both immersed with their own thoughts.
"Prince Gabriel! Prince George! We need to go!!" Genevive said. Seing they were not budging from their positions she shouted at them.
"Gabriel! George! Wake up! Don't be so dumb! We need to go!! Come on, Wake up! Wake up! Please! Please wake up!" She made it sound so loud so that the people thought they hit the princes. But of course they'd be too dumb not to realize that they just fired one arrow.. It was just to buy them some time.
While the hunters were happy. 'Wake up? Did they hit the princes?'.
One of them asked. "Who shot the second arrow?" Then they started looking at each other. Only to realize they have been fooled.
Meanwhile Genevive wanted to smack these two princes. She had to excert a lot of force just to make them budge. She guided them to a hidden path where her father had told her long ago to keep safe in there.
"Gabriel, George, Here.. Follow me.." She whispered. It was impossible for them to be spotted because they were so little and Genevive heard that no one else fired after the arrow. 'Ha. Wow, am I really good at voice acting? ' The hunters were of course distracted so it was easy to run around unnoticed..for even a little time..
Genevive led them to a path that was behind a wall covered by trees and vines. It looked so old.
Genevive went to the dead end wall and pulled some blocks and re-placed them. Then she whispered "kindynos". To the prince's surprise, the wall silently disappeared leaving them a beautiful enchanting garden..
"Come on in Gabriel, George, we need to hide." Both nodded when they entered. Then Genevive whispered again "Akindynos" The walls reappeared. When the princes went in they were amazed of what they saw.
There was a beautiful garden. Although it wasn't as big as the palace garden, it was very simple, but so appealing. It was very pleasing to the eyes.
"It's even beautiful than the royal garden.." Prince George couldn't help but say.
The garden was so enchanting as if elves lived there. Elves were said to be extinct in the country but there were rumors that some elves still live and they grow a lot of beautiful flowers.
"Phew.. Luckily we got away.." Genevive said. When she turned she looked towards the garden. It was exactly as Genevive remembered the only difference was that There was a new swing. Or the old swing was replaced.. The arrangements of the flowers were still the same as she remembered it. Roses were all in one line arranged according to their color. Peonies were sorrounding the entire garden with dandelions and a neat row of bell flowers. On a particular spot, there was a circular row filled with gardanias. When Genevive swept her eyes there, she became sad.. To divert her thoughts, she looked at the princes. And observed the Garden again.
She almost couldn't control her laugh as she saw their expressions..
George and Gabriel were shocked to see a lot of beautiful flowers some of which were powerful but what shocked them the most was when they saw Genevive..
"Wh-who are you?" Both of the prince asked.
Genevive wanted to laugh at the boys. She looked down to the ground trying so hard to surpress her laughter. Then realization dawned upon her..
'What am I wearing? Is this me?' She ran to the fountain only to see a reflection of a very different person..
She screamed atop of her lungs.
"AAHHHH!!!"
