We're moving through the rhythm of the music, passionately. We really are enjoying the dance, no doubt.
Today is our intramurals and we're requested to give an intermission number. This time, we've chosen to showcase a hip-hop dance. We're used of dancing contemporary dance, so we tried a new genre.
It's very tiring since it takes a lot of energy, but as long as everyone is enjoying watching us, then never mind the tiresome.
We're now doing the krumping, followed by tutting, breaking, and even back tumbling. People are now extremely chanting on us, but there's only one person my eyes were stuck.
The music has finally ended and we bowed together, chasing our breath, yet we're happy and satisfied with what we showed for today's event. "Thank you," we said in a chorus.
"That was fantastic, Abellera Twin! Thank you for burning the stage with your hot production number!" nakangiting sabi ng Emcee kaya mas lalo kaming natuwa.
We bowed for the last time before we went down. Kinuyog naman kami agad ng napakaraming estudyante. Flash here, flash there. Smile here, smile everywhere. And, yeah, we're used with it.
"Tama na, tama na," Veia said, then she grabbed us away from that crowded place. Plano pa sana kaming sundan ng mga estudyanteng nagpapalitrato sa'min, pero sinindak sila agad ni Veia, kaya ayon nagsi-alisan habang nagrereklamo.
We went to the locker first to get our clothes and after changing we directly went to our mini treehouse and we all take a rest for a moment.
Veia pats our back, all of a sudden, then she said, "you guys never failed to impress your fangirls." Natawa pa siya nang bahagya matapos sabihin 'yon.
"But, I want to impress only one girl," Sun uttered. I knew who is he referring to. Napatingin siya sa'kin kaya ngumiti naman ako.
Veia gasped as she hit Sun's arm. "So lucky that girl, Sun," aniya habang nakangiti pa rin.
'Lucky you are.' I said behind my back.
"Swerte nga, manhid lang," Sun replied and I chuckled right away.
"Umamin ka kaya sa kanya, 'di ba? You just keep on saying she's manhid kasi hindi ka naman umaamin," she replied, shaking her head as if she's disappointed with my twin for not telling this girl that he's in love with her.
"There's always a right time for that," Sun said as he placed his arm over her shoulder. "Pero, kung gusto mong umamin na ako agad, aamin naman ako, just tell me," Sun added, staring straight to her eyes.
Veia pushed him, enough to take his arm off of her, then she said, "quit staring at me like that. You knew that you're eyes are pretty captivating." And with that, a smile was drawn from my twin's lips.
I need to leave this area. The scenario's torturing me.
I pat Sun's back to get his attention. "Gonna go to our room, someone needs her knight in shining armor," I pulled a joke, "Vee, gonna leave now," she just nodded while busy putting on her face powder.
My twin looked at me and his eyes look like they're teasing me. Tss! "Go now," he said, smirking. "You look like our third wheel," he whispered.
I chuckled, then I whispered back, "confess." It hurts me saying that word, but I know that I'll be hurt more if I'd continue this sh*t I am feeling.
As I went inside our room, as usual, boys are now making fun of her. She's busy writing on her book while these boys keep on poking her, messing her hair, kicking her chair, and every trip they want to do, I guess they do it all.
"Go away," I coldly said and good for them 'cause they listen so soon, or else, mabubugbog ko talaga ang isip batang 'to.
I give her my hanky, pero hindi niya inabot. Our classmates are now murmuring nonsense. Like, they were saying that perhaps I like this woman and many more sh*ts.
And, yes, I like her. I like her to be my friend.
Hillary is just a typical lady. Kung titingnan mo siya parang walang ka-espe-espesyal sa kaniya, but why do these people are so fond to make fun of her? Maybe because she doesn't care? I mean, when they're bullying her it seems like she's not interested because she's not giving a damn. Or, maybe because she's a transferee and she still doesn't know how to communicate with them, that's why she's called, the boring girl.
But, for me, no. She may be quiet on the outside, but I know she's hiding something on the inside—something special.
A minute has passed, but her tears continued falling on her book. I decided to take away her hair that covers her face, then I held her chin as I slowly wiping her tears.
I seriously don't want to see a woman in pain and in sorrow. It kills me.
"Wow, two weeks pa lang naman, but she already captured the attention of Sky," Mikaela uttered, our classmate, as she sat on her seat.
"Papansin kasi. Painosente kahit 'di naman," said Antoinette, she then rolled her eyes inwardly.
The boys are now clapping their hands as if those girls didn't say nonsense. Tss!
"The twin is just pretty kind, Guys, don't mind Sky helping others, it's not even new," Tanya said, our classroom president. Mabuti pa siya at marunong umintindi.
"Stay away," Hillary said between her sobs.
Hindi na ako nagulat nang sabihin niya 'yan dahil lagi niya 'yang linya sa'kin. "I'll go away, but please stop crying," sinserong sabi ko.
She looked at me, then she wiped her tears. "Leave," she coldly said. I really don't get her. I've been good to her, but she didn't appreciate it even once. But, whatever, maybe she got a reason why she's so cold.
I went to my seat, still, my eyes are on her. Naaawa talaga ako sa kanya. Two weeks pa lang siya, pero puro hindi maganda ang nangyayari sa kaniya.
"Bro," Sun suddenly came. I looked around, then I saw Veia sat beside Hillary. She greeted her, but she gets no response, as usual. "So, what happened, Mr. Knight in Shining Armor?" Sun asked, hiding his laughter.
"Tss. As always, mas malamig pa sa yelo ang pakikitungo niya," I replied.
Sun caressed my back, then he said, "you don't have to worry, Bro, that Hillary will like you, too, soon."
Kumunot agad ang noo ko at sinamaan ko siya ng tingin, "what on earth are you talking about?" tanong ko.
He laughed and lightly punch my arm. "We're twins. I know how you feel," natatawa niyang sabi.
You're wrong. You don't know what I really feel, Bro.
"I don't like her," I replied, as I looked outside. "She just reminds me of Veia in the past," I whispered to myself.
"Ha?" Sun asked, but I remained quiet while he's been asking me what I had whispered in the air. When he finally gets tired, he stopped. But, I was surprised when he suddenly stood up, walking through Hillary's chair.
What the hell is he doing now?
"Hey," he said as he held Hillary's shoulder.
She took it off and coldly said, "I told you to leave."
They get everyone's attention so soon. And again, they're starting blabbering sh*ts! Grabe, ang hirap pigilan ng mga bibig nila, even these boys are talking nonsense.
"Ha?" Sun asked. Siguro akala ni Hillary ako 'yong kausap niya. Tsk.
"Cheap ng taste ng kambal na 'yan," Andrei uttered again.
"Kapag talaga gwapo, pangit ang gusto," and that was Greg. But, excuse me? Is he blind to say that Hillary is ugly? No one's ever born ugly! Women are gorgeous, men are handsome, excluding these men who got a stinky attitude and that makes them the ugliest creature on the earth!
"Baka ginayuma kamo ni Boring Girl," said Clark.
Tss. Mga tsismoso talaga.
"Sun, stop it," I uttered. He's been standing there, waiting for Hillary's reply, but it seems like she's not gonna do it anymore.
"Wait, Bro, I just want to help you—"
He stopped talking when Hillary stood up. She looked like Sadako with that long, black, straight hair that almost covers her whole face. Tsk.
She stopped in front of me, then she handed me a piece of paper. "What's this?" confusion can be seen in my face. But instead of answering, she just looks straight to my eyes, then she went out of our room.
"What was that?" Andrei asked, laughing his as* off, as well as his pointless friends. Tss! "Weird, Boring Girl," he added.
Veia turns her back to face me, then she smiled for a second. "Yiiieee," she uttered without any sound.
Ironic. The woman I like is pushing me through another woman.
"Sky, ano 'yon?" Sun asked, smirking.
"Papel," I replied, sarcastically.
"I know, but for what? Tingnan mo 'yon, dali!"
I looked at the paper I'm holding. It's really weird. Why she'd suddenly gave this to me?
"I feel like something's written in there," Sun uttered again. Parang excited yata siya, ha.
I stood up, then I said, "this is nonsense. I'm gonna throw this."
"What?! No!" he yelled, but I just walked away, smirking. I know he's very curious about what's written on the inside. But, I want my twin to get insane because of curiosity.
I'm at the trash bin, but I decided to open the paper before throwing it.
'I like you.'
W-WHAT?!
Binaliktad ko 'yong papel because maybe she's just making a prank, pero wala na talagang nakasulat bukod sa,
'I like you.'
JUST WTH! S-She...she likes me? Ha? How did it happen?
