A sudden change of emotion had enveloped Audrey. Given that she just finished watching a horror film that really scared her, Aiden's hasty move made her wary that he can become as dangerous as possible if not taken seriously.
The way he sought her attention was really intense. The way he touched her was abrupt yet heart stopping. The way he looked at her was so serious that it's impossible to look away. The way he spoke was very inviting.
Audrey's heart was beating so fast right now. She almost thought that it's echoing on her ears that it's trying to make her conscious how tempting Aiden is. He's acting too good for his role. It made her question herself if they really needed to go this far just for show.
Aiden just kept his gaze fixed on her. He's well aware about his feelings for Audrey. In fact, having her this close to him is making him love her more than he should. He wanted to tell her how eh feels, he really do but he knows that he shouldn't.
He wasn't acting at all. He actually used the opportunity to show her how he feels. Though she had totally forgotten about him, he told himself that creating new memories with her won't hurt. Seeing her smile is what matters the most to him. He waited seven years just to be with her again and he'll make his every moment with her as precious as he can.
Audrey was awakened by a presence that passed their way. It was Tiffany walking fast towards the exit. After seeing that she left the area, she slowly pushed Aiden away out of embarrassment and said, "It's okay now. She's gone."
It's almost dawn now. Audrey and Aiden went to their final destination, the park. Audrey received at text from Kylie saying that she's currently following Tiffany and it seemed that she almost gave up but have decided to follow them.
The two, went to the empty bench near the lake under the beautiful willow tree. The view was perfect for they can see the sun almost going down.
Aiden saw that Audrey is somehow keeping her distance from him. So he stretched out an arm and pulled her close to him saying, "Are you mad?"
"No." She denied trying to hide that she actually feels nervous,
She then received a text from Kylie saying, "She's sitting at a nearby bench a little farther than expected. It seems that she's slowly getting tired watching you two. Just kiss for real already!"
When Audrey saw the last line, she immediately put her phone back on her pocket and told Aiden that Tiffany is seating far from them. That she might not be able to hear what they would be saying now.
"It looks like she's getting tired." He said.
"Yes…" She said short. She was really surprised with what her crazy best friend said. It even made her more nervous now for she knew that every date usually ended up with a kiss. Not just a simple kiss, a real kiss.
"You are certainly mad at me." He said worrying.
"N-no! I was just thinking there's a lot of couple around."
Aiden also had observed that so he said, "Ah yes…" He looked at the couple near them and saw that they're making out. It made his feel a little anxious.
"Why is she still following us? Are we too obvious that we're just pretending?"
"I don't know. I don't think so." He actually thinks that they're doing pretty good. He almost thought that Audrey is also not acting but he knows that it's not possible with their current situation.
"I'm almost out of ideas. I'm no pro like you."
"I'm not a pro."
"Oh, come on. Don't make it sound like you never had a girlfriend."
"I have but it wasn't anything near anything like what we did today."
Audrey was then reminded of what had happened today. It's as there's a flashback on how Aiden almost made her feel like he's telling her that he's seriously in love with her is all true.
"Actually…I don't normally do those things to other people."
"W-what? You've had a girlfriend right? You must have at least hugged her?
"No."
"What kind of relationship is that?"
"A relationship without love."
"Why'd you agree to be the boyfriend then?"
"I was forced to date her because of my family. It was something inevitable on my case." There was sadness that appeared on to him.
Audrey saw how complicated life may be to Aiden with his expression. It may look like he's just some kind of crazy rich guy but the truth that he's someone way more than that. She regrets saying asking him such question so she thought about asking him something different.
"You mentioned earlier that you have a dog. What kind of dog is it?"
"It's a golden retriever. He's actually very cute and soft and fluffy like a sheep when he was just a puppy. I'm actually really happy when he'd grown for, he still remained fluffiness." He said with a smile.
Audrey was relieved that his expression changed. He must have loved his dog so much that he's started beaming with joy. She then continued to listen to Aiden and adore this new side of him that she just found out.
"The problem with my dog is that he likes water too much. Compared to other breeds who tend to run if you tell them that you're going to bathe them, he actually loves it whenever I tell him that. There was a time that he even went home inside the house very pet because he played with the hose at the garden."
"That was interesting. I like dogs. It makes me want to meet him."
"Sure! I'll bring him to school then."
"Silly, you can't bring dogs to school."
"Why not?" He innocently asked.
"Because pets are not allowed in our school."
"That's boring."
"Hahaha. You are so funny sometimes." Audrey cannot help herself not to laugh. She found Aiden really innocently funny at such times.
Just as it was getting good, she received a text from Kylie saying, "OMG Audrey Bear! Tiffany is walking towards the two of you right now. Do something!"
Audrey didn't have time on showing or telling Aiden that Tiffany is coming because she can hear someone's footsteps getting near them. So she before she did the most unexpected thing she'll do, she apologized and said, "I'm sorry this is my first time so…"
She trailed her hands towards the nape of his neck, moved forward, looked at him in the eye down to his lips and kissed him.
