"You can stop pretending now!" Audrey exclaimed while feeling embarrassed. What happened today was hell of a roller coaster ride to her already. If she's not going to hold on, she will end up falling for this guy.
Aiden just gave her a sweet smile. This person is just beyond Audrey's control. He keeps on saying things that startle her all the time. She's not annoyed with it, she thought that his innocent flirting and teasing might really confuse people if taken seriously. Still, it was hard for her not to think or even look at him without having a funny yet wibbly feeling inside of her.
Audrey got home earlier than expected after being sent home by Aiden. She asked him to drop her somewhere near her area because she don't want her brother to panic knowing that he was being sent home by such a flashy car.
Her brother was already finished cooking and was preparing the food already at the dining table, by the time she entered the house. She was still on a state of shock after what had happened with her day. Levi then suddenly stared at her with wonder.
"This is my first time seeing that dress." He said
"Ah, this? Kylie gave it to me." She replied lying.
"You look…different." Levi said a little embarrassed.
Audrey is not wearing her wig nor her shades anymore. She took it all out inside Aiden's car earlier. She thought that if her brother sees her, he might be suspicious where she really went for she normally didn't really look like this.
"It's okay to tell me that I'm beautiful once in a while you know."
For the first time Levi was speechless. He didn't respond in a vexing manner which he usually does. He just turned his gaze around trying not to be too obvious of what he's thinking.
After eating, Audrey went upstairs like some dead zombie. She didn't even eat that much. She was so preoccupied about what occurred earlier. She was dumbfounded.
She immediately opened her social media account and browsed for a while as she tries to divert her attention into something else. She then watched a couple of dog videos on her newsfeed. It somehow uplifted her. But then it somehow reminded her of Aiden for he mentioned that he owned a dog.
Anxious enough, she decided to do a little background check on him through the use of the internet. She typed his complete name and when she searched it, she was flabbergasted. He was well very well known!
Aiden Wang, the heir to the famous Charles Group Incorporated or as known as CGI. He is the first son of Charles Wang and Scarlett Jones-Wang. His father is the chairman and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CGI while his mother is a famous actress and model. There were also a lot of magazine covers where Aiden looked amazing.
Audrey didn't expect that this person is a son of a famous tycoon. This person really is indeed something.
Just when things are getting interesting, Kylie popped her a message. "Hey sweetie! How's your overall date earlier?" Kylie sent with an emoji with a beaming face and with smiling eyes.
"It wasn't a date! It was a skit!"
"Call it whatever you want but you two really looked great earlier! Oh that reminds me, let me send you some souvenir."
"What souvenir."
"Patience honey. They're many and my internet is not that fast." Kylie replied.
"Oh my gosh!!!" She screamed.
One by one, a picture of her and Aiden appeared on her chat box like a storm. She opened one and saw a very clear picture of her at the fountain in front of the station with her arms wrapped around him. There was actually a lot. One of it was when they were walking. Another one was when they were lined up outside the cinema. Before she can ingest what happened, her door was opened by her worried looking brother.
"What happened?!" Levi said panting for it seemed that he was still downstairs cleaning the dishes for he's still wearing a rubber glove on his right hand.
Audrey immediately closed her laptop with her surprise and said, "It's uhh…Kylie. She sent me a video with a very scary jump scare on it."
"Oh God. I really thought something bad had happened. You almost gave me a heart attack." He said slopping on the floor as his adrenaline depleted.
"Sorry." Audrey sincerely apologized. She knew that her brother shouldn't be surprised like that for he has a heart disease.
He was born with a weak body. He was usually hospitalized when he was still young. He even made a friend with the same diagnosis like him as kid but it wasn't a happy memory for him. It was then when he thought that if he won't fight it off, he will eventually end up dying like his friend. He thought that he shouldn't just lay down on his bed and wait for something more intoxicating to happen. That's when decided that he should learn Karate.
Audrey stood up and went to Levi to embrace him. She was worried that something bad might happen so she asked, "Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah. Just don't scare me like that. You know I don't like jump scares so much." He said while resting his head on Audrey's shoulder.
"You're such a scaredy-cat."
"Crazy little sister. Do you want me to die early?"
"Don't say stuff like that! I'm really sorry okay? I didn't mean to scream."
"Fine."
Levi went down after resting for a moment. He was really scared that something bad had happened to Audrey. For him she was his sunshine, a morning grace. He was happy to know that she's happy. For him she wasn't just a sister but he knows that there are boundaries, limitations. Thought the truth is that they are really not siblings, she should not know that. It was already enough for him to be with her thought he's only a brother to her.
