Chapter 33 - Disaster

With the agreement between me and the Ice Empress, we became partners in crime. As long as I help with her revenge, she'll be very useful in information and things about the Ancient Clans. Plus, she has an interesting character.

Although I'll be offending the Extreme Yin Empire and the other Ancient Clans, I should be good for now. I've already withstood entire star collisions that could kill Saint Immortals and Saint Demi-God, and severely injure Saint Gods. There hasn't been anybody that's surpassed Saint realm in a very long time, so I should be good even if their headmasters attack me.

The only problem, isn't the strength of their people, but the fact that they've retained everything since the Ancient Era. For all I know, they could be holding tons of Divine grade weapons. Although I can't judge the powers of them, they're surely not to be underestimated. Plus, their knowledge is unparalleled, and knowledge can be more powerful than strength if the opponent isn't way too powerful.

But we're only connected by a deal. Although she's beautiful enough for wars to be waged on her, I can't say I desire a love relationship for her as much as I used to at the beginning. She's just a pitiful existence consumed in her rage to the point that she's sacrificed most of the things I would desire of a woman. I don't mind a friend relationship, but not a love one.

A desirable woman for me is one that's hard to reach. Because the higher up they are, the harder they fall. It's such a rewarding thing to make high beauties that conceal themselves in dresses and are cold-hearted fall into the abyss of love. I've seen it in novels and it's so satisfying.

Any man should enjoy it. Who wouldn't enjoy such a woman falling from high and being caught by your arms? The higher the wall, the more rewarding it is climbing over.

Ice Empress is an example of a great wall that was torn down till only a few centimeters was sticking out of the ground. It's a sad and pitiful wall. It was still fresh and could've been repaired back to it's formal glory. But now it's past it's expiration date and has now become rotten to the point that repair is impossible. So, with that, there's only interest. I can't do much for her nor can I repair her wall.

After those thoughts rolled in my head for a second, I was brought back into reality when an island-sized rock collided with the formation. Cracks appeared all around the area it hit before shattering. It fell through before falling into the water, creating a large splash. But that's not the important part.

With the formation no longer complete, it disrupted the entire balance of the system before shutting down. The runes on the walls are separate, so they weren't affected.

As soon as the formation collapsed, the entire island was exposed to the outside world. Horrifying wind speeds and tar-colored rain came in nearly horizontally. The horrifying waves easily rolled over the walls, sending in tsunamis. Before anybody could really get a grasp, the wind speeds has already hit the beach cities facing the storm.

All of what humanity had built was torn apart and tossed into the wind like paper. Trees were uprooted before being carried away. The soil itself was tossed into the winds like nothing. The fierce winds rolled up the mountains, before collapsing them very quickly. The elder palaces quickly fell apart as the winds easily destroyed the formation that protected them. Some elders were flung into the wind and screamed before disappearing into the storm.

The central and tallest mountain bravely stood against the winds without collapsing, even though it was shaking constantly like it was a small boat in a huge storm. Formations protected the palace, and they didn't budge in the winds. But all soil was blasted away and only the rock was left to be corroded from the winds.

A tall dust storm of soil as a result swept through the entire island the size of Iceland in a little over 4 minutes. Lights flicked out and 99% of the entire population was wiped out in a short time. Any life that survived was blasted away, with little chances of survival. Any soil on the island disappeared, leaving a barren rock place that resembled a newly formed volcanic island.

The only thing still standing was the palace, which detached from the peak and was tossed into the wind like a tornado picking up a house. The mountain began to crack up and crumble apart slowly as pieces were tossed into the wind.

Without a constant supply of energy for the runes on the still-standing castle walls, they quickly dimmed out before shattering in just a few minutes. They collapsed under the winds and waves, allowing most of the island to be submerged in water.

As for me, I boosted myself into the air, before being tossed away, since the place was destroyed. Moving along with the fierce winds, I occasionally tossed and turned, causing the Ice Empress in my stomach to tumble about.

"What the hell's going on out there?!" she yelled, trying to stabilize herself.

"The formation collapsed, and the entire island was decimated in a few minutes. I'm escaping, so we can find a new place," I said with a gloomy face.

"Then what should we do?" she asked, clinging to the walls.

I stabilized my body to help her, before replying, "We're moving to the next clan to get safety. I can't stay in this weather forever."

As I said this, I tossed away the coin that was given to me, as it's useless now. With the speed we're moving at in the winds, it only took a few hours to pass by vassal kingdoms that are already gone. A few days later, we arrived at another huge island which is probably of another clan.

But what we came to was one resembling the aftermath of the collapse of a formation. Sea Phantoms clan had the strongest defense barrier, so we were way better off, but other places were way worse.
