Reborn as the Evil K-Drama Mom! (But I'm Indian?!)

Chapter 1: Rebirth as a K-Drama Villainess?!

"Arrey, yeh kya ho raha hai?"

The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the ridiculous amount of silk. Soft, smooth, and expensive, the kind you'd only see on rich aunties in Bollywood films. The second thing?

I was not in my tiny Mumbai apartment anymore.

Instead, I was lying on an extravagant king-sized bed, surrounded by golden chandeliers, marble floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking…

Wait.

Was that Seoul's skyline?!

I shot up from the bed, my mind in panic mode. The huge room, the luxurious furniture, and—oh my God—my own reflection in the mirror across from me.

It wasn't me.

Gone was my tired, 30-year-old face with dark circles from years of struggling in the film industry. Instead, a flawless Korean woman with sharp cheekbones, wavy jet-black hair, and red lips stared back at me.

I blinked. She blinked back.

I slapped my cheek. She slapped hers.

What. The. Hell?!

Before I could scream, the door slammed open. A tall, cold-looking man in a three-piece suit strode in, his sharp eyes filled with suspicion.

"Mother," he said in a deep, serious voice.

I froze.

Wait. Mother?!

Hold on. I've seen this man before. This Korean actor was famous, right? His dramas were huge hits in India! What was his name? Lee Min… something? No, wait—this was a character.

And then, it hit me.

I knew this scene.

Because I had watched it before.

Because this was the first episode of Winter's Love, the mega-hit K-drama about a rich, cold CEO and his forbidden romance.

And this man—the one calling me 'Mother'—was the male lead.

Which meant…

I had been reborn as the villain mother.

The same villain mother who spent the entire drama sabotaging her son's love life, only to end up exiled and hated by everyone in the finale.

…Okay. This was bad.

Very bad.

Very, very bad.

"Mother," the male lead, aka Lee Junho, repeated, crossing his arms. "Are you feeling unwell? You look… different."

Yeah, no kidding, beta. I was an Indian woman just yesterday!

But I couldn't say that. So instead, I did what any desi mother would do in a stressful situation.

I dramatically grabbed my forehead and sighed. "Baccha, chai laa do."

Junho blinked. "…What?"

Oh. Right. Wrong country.

"Uh, I mean… green tea?" I corrected awkwardly. "For my stress?"

He frowned but snapped his fingers. Within seconds, a maid rushed in, placing an expensive-looking teacup in my hands.

I took a deep breath, trying to process everything.

Okay. Let's think.

1. I was dead. Or at least, my previous self was.

2. I was now in a K-drama world, playing the evil chaebol mother.

3. In the original plot, I would try to ruin my son's romance… and get disgraced in the end.

4. I needed to change the script, FAST.

New plan? Be a good mom.

…But how does a desi mom behave in a K-drama?

Simple. With maximum drama.

I put my teacup down and gave Junho my most emotional, Bollywood-style look. "Beta," I said, grabbing his hand dramatically, "I have realized my mistakes. From now on, I will only support your happiness!"

Junho stiffened. "What?"

"I will not interfere in your love life!" I declared. "In fact—I will even help you!"

The entire room fell silent.

Junho narrowed his eyes. "…What's your plan?"

I smiled. Oh, nothing much.

Just a little desi-style matchmaking.
