Reborn as the Evil K-Drama Mom! (But I'm Indian?!)

Chapter 6: The CEO Husband Gets… Jealous?!

I had one goal.

Survive my villain CEO husband without making him suspicious.

But what did I do instead?

I accidentally made him care about me.

And now?

Now, I was stuck having dinner with him.

Scene Change – The Most Awkward Dinner Ever

Ji-Hwan sat across from me at the fancy dining table, cutting his steak like a mafia boss plotting murder.

The atmosphere was so tense even the maids were breathing quietly.

I sipped my soup. Graceful. Elegant. Unbothered.

Ji-Hwan stared at me. Intense. Confused. Suspicious.

"So," he finally said, "you called me 'darling' earlier."

I nearly choked on my soup.

"Did I?" I fake laughed. "Pfft, I say things all the time, haha. Forget about it!"

Ji-Hwan tilted his head. "You've never called me that before."

Oh god.

This man was too sharp.

Time to change the subject.

I smiled sweetly. "By the way, how was your business trip?"

He narrowed his eyes. "Since when do you care?"

Oof. Wrong question.

"Well," I panicked, "you're my husband. It's only natural that I ask!"

Ji-Hwan froze.

The butler dropped a spoon.

The chef whispered 'Oh my god.'

…Oops.

I forgot that in the original drama, these two had a horrible marriage.

Crap crap crap.

Think, think!

"Oh," I quickly added, "I meant business-wise! If your company does well, I get to spend more money, right?"

Ji-Hwan blinked.

Then… he smirked.

Oh no.

"Ah," he said smoothly, "so you're after my money."

What.

No.

Wait.

That's not—

Before I could fix this misunderstanding, Ji-Hwan suddenly picked up his wine glass.

"That's fine," he said. "If my wife wants something, I should provide it."

My jaw dropped.

The maids blushed.

The butler nearly fainted.

WHAT WAS HAPPENING.

Was my villain CEO husband… flirting with me?!

Scene Change – Junho's POV

Junho stared at his phone.

Then at his butler.

Then at his phone again.

"What do you mean," he asked slowly, "Dad and Mom are having a normal conversation?"

The butler whispered dramatically, "Not just normal… romantic."

Junho froze.

Then, he immediately called Ha-Eun.

She picked up after two rings. "Hey, what's up?"

"Something's wrong with my mom," Junho said, dead serious.

Ha-Eun blinked. "Well, yeah. She tried to plan our wedding without asking us."

"No, I mean, she's acting nice to my dad."

Silence.

Then—

"…What."

"Exactly," Junho muttered. "I think she hit her head."

Scene Change – My POV

I escaped dinner like my life depended on it.

Ji-Hwan was acting too nice.

I had survived the villain CEO husband for now, but I had bigger problems.

Junho was suspicious.

Ha-Eun was confused.

And worst of all?

Ji-Hwan wasn't ignoring me anymore.

I flopped onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.

If I wasn't careful, this drama was about to take a very weird turn.

And somehow…

I had a feeling that my CEO husband wasn't done with me yet.
