Reborn as the Evil K-Drama Mom! (But I'm Indian?!)

Chapter 8: A Romantic Dinner…?!

A romantic dinner.

With my villain CEO husband.

At the most expensive restaurant in the city.

What could possibly go wrong?

Answer: EVERYTHING.

Scene Change – The Fancy Restaurant

The moment we entered, the waiters practically bowed to Ji-Hwan.

"Welcome, Chairman!"

"Your private table is ready, sir!"

I blinked.

Wait.

Why was everyone acting like this was normal?

I was expecting shock, gasps, and maybe a fainting chef.

But instead—

"Good evening, Madam," one of the waiters greeted me with a perfectly polite smile.

Madam?!

Oh no.

OH NO.

They were used to my villain self.

What kind of rich evil nonsense did the original me pull in this place?!

I slowly sat down at our candlelit table, feeling like a fraud.

Meanwhile, Ji-Hwan looked as calm as ever.

I needed to act natural.

I picked up the menu.

Then—

I almost screamed.

WHY WERE THE PRICES SO HIGH?!

A plate of salad… $500.

A bowl of soup… $800.

A single steak… $2,000.

WHAT KIND OF COW WAS THIS?!

Did they raise it on the moon?!

Meanwhile, Ji-Hwan ordered without a care.

"The full-course meal for two," he said smoothly.

My soul left my body.

But I had to act normal.

So I just nodded.

And now?

Now I was stuck in a dinner that cost more than my entire past life's rent.

Scene Change – The Jealous Incident

I was eating nervously when suddenly—

A handsome waiter appeared.

"Would the Madam like some wine?" he asked, smiling at me.

Before I could answer, Ji-Hwan put down his fork.

Clink.

The sound was quiet. Dangerous.

Then, in the coldest voice ever—

"She doesn't drink wine from strangers."

WHAT.

The waiter froze.

The whole restaurant went silent.

I stared.

Was my husband… JEALOUS?!

The waiter backed away nervously.

And Ji-Hwan?

He picked up his fork like nothing happened.

"Eat," he said calmly.

I was losing my mind.

Scene Change – Junho & Ha-Eun Stalking Us

Meanwhile, outside the restaurant—

Junho and Ha-Eun were hiding behind a plant.

"This is insane," Ha-Eun whispered.

"I know," Junho muttered.

They watched through the window as Ji-Hwan… placed a piece of steak on my plate.

Ha-Eun grabbed Junho's arm.

"Your dad just served your mom food."

"I SAW," Junho hissed.

Ha-Eun squinted. "Wait… is that jealousy?"

Junho nearly collapsed.

"NO. MY DAD DOESN'T GET JEALOUS."

But then—

Ji-Hwan wiped my lips with a napkin.

Junho's entire world shattered.

"This is a dream," he whispered.

Ha-Eun patted his back. "Stay strong, buddy."

Scene Change – My POV (Still Losing My Mind)

Dinner finally ended, and Ji-Hwan walked me to the car.

The night air was cool and quiet.

I hesitated.

Should I… say something?

Before I could, Ji-Hwan suddenly said—

"Do you regret it?"

I blinked. "Regret what?"

He turned to me, eyes serious.

"Marrying me."

My heart skipped a beat.

Wait.

WAIT.

Was this turning into an actual K-drama romance?!

Panic. Panic.

I laughed nervously. "Haha, what kind of question is that?"

Ji-Hwan narrowed his eyes.

Then, out of nowhere—

He leaned in.

I froze.

Was he going to—

BZZZZZT!

My phone vibrated violently.

I jumped.

Ji-Hwan sighed and stepped back.

Saved by the phone!

I quickly checked it.

It was a message from Junho.

Junho: Mom. What are you doing with Dad?!

Oh no.

He knew.

He KNEW.

This was bad.

VERY BAD.

And somehow…

I had a feeling that Ji-Hwan wasn't done with me yet.
