Reborn as the Evil K-Drama Mom! (But I'm Indian?!)
Chapter 2: Beta, Just Elope!
Junho stared at me like I'd just grown two heads.
"Mother," he said slowly, his deep CEO voice dripping with suspicion, "you want to… support my love life?"
I smiled, radiating pure desi mom energy. "Haan beta! Why waste time? Just elope and be happy!"
Junho choked. The maid in the corner dropped a tray.
Okay. Maybe that was a little too much.
Junho pinched the bridge of his nose. "Mother, are you feeling unwell?"
Oh ho, this cold CEO son was too suspicious. Fine. Time for emotional blackmail.
I dramatically grabbed his hands, my eyes filling with fake tears. "Beta, I just had a life-changing realization! What kind of mother stands in the way of her son's true love?!"
"You?" Junho deadpanned.
Okay, rude. But also, not wrong.
Because in the original Winter's Love, this villain mom did everything to break up Junho and the female lead, Ha-Eun. Threats, bribes, fake scandals—the full K-drama villain package.
But not me. Oh no. I was going to be the best mom ever.
"You are my precious son," I continued, raising the melodrama to max level. "If you love Ha-Eun, I will support you with my whole heart!"
Junho squinted. "What do you want?"
Uff, this beta was too smart.
I needed to prove I was serious.
So I did what any good desi mother would do.
I grabbed my phone and called my assistant.
"Hello? Kim?!" I shouted. "Book the best honeymoon suite in Jeju Island for my son and his girlfriend!"
Junho almost dropped his coffee.
"Mother, what the hell?!"
I ignored him. "Also, send matching couple outfits to Ha-Eun's house. Make them romantic—red and gold, like an Indian shaadi!"
"Mother, STOP!" Junho snatched the phone from my hand.
I gasped. "Beta, why are you blocking your own happiness?"
"Because this is insane!" he hissed. "Are you drunk?"
I sighed. "Beta, true love waits for no one."
Junho groaned. The maid was now openly laughing.
"Okay," Junho said, taking a deep breath. "You're acting weird. Yesterday, you were against my relationship, and now you're planning my wedding?!"
I put a hand over my heart, looking offended. "Do you think your mother can't change?"
"Yes," Junho and the maid said in unison.
I gasped. "Such disrespect!"
Junho ran a hand through his hair, exasperated. "Just… stay out of my love life."
I smiled sweetly. "Of course, beta. Whatever you say."
I was lying.

Scene Change – The Female Lead's House
Ha-Eun, the drama's sweet, hardworking female lead, was a nervous wreck.
She was expecting another horrible visit from her evil future mother-in-law. The last time they met, I—err, the original villain mom—had thrown a glass of water on her face and called her a gold-digger.
(Yeah. K-drama villain moms are wild.)
So when I arrived at her tiny apartment, she braced for impact.
But instead of yelling at her…
I handed her a box of sweets.
"Beta, eat," I said kindly. "Sweets bring happiness!"
Ha-Eun blinked. Her brain short-circuited.
"…I'm sorry, what?"
I patted her hand, sighing dramatically. "You must have suffered a lot, loving my cold, heartless son."
Ha-Eun looked horrified. "N-No, Junho isn't heartless—"
"Haan haan, I know," I cut her off, waving my hand. "But beta, why wait for marriage? You should just elope and enjoy life!"
Ha-Eun choked on air.
"E-ELOPE?!" she shrieked.
I nodded wisely. "No stress, no problems. I already booked a honeymoon suite for you two in Jeju Island!"
Ha-Eun nearly fainted.
Mission success.

Scene Change – Junho's Office
Junho was having the worst day of his life.
His phone wouldn't stop buzzing with texts from Ha-Eun.
[Ha-Eun: WHAT DID YOUR MOM JUST TELL ME?!]
[Ha-Eun: SHE WANTS US TO ELOPE??]
[Ha-Eun: WHY DID A BOX OF WEDDING CLOTHES ARRIVE AT MY HOUSE?!]
Junho rubbed his temples.
His mother had gone completely insane.
Or worse.
She had become… too supportive.
"This is bad," Junho muttered.
"Sir?" His secretary peered in, looking pale. "Um… there's a problem."
Junho groaned. "What now?"
The secretary hesitated. "Your mother just booked an entire beach resort… for your sangeet ceremony."
Junho's soul left his body.
"…WHAT?!"
